  • wow...he really puts into consideration all available tools and techniques to his advantage! What art! What beauty! A True Master!!

  • Oh! for a time machine! I would take Julian Bream back to play for Bach. I am sure that Bach would be smitten and would have written huge amounts of music for the guitar!

  • 1:19-1:20 couldnt hold the smile.

  • he's such a great teacher

  • When playing the classic guitar it is all about accuracy and the right phrasing and expression, this masterclass is priceless. The most important thing is patience.

Young players tend to be wtihouth patience and thats the major essence of this lesson for me personally. Thanks for uploading , we want more!

  • this is priceless.....who is the student? wonderful player as well

  • without a doubt, best guitarist, musically and technically, the sound of the guitar when he plays is simply unparalleled, I wander why is he so much above everyone else?

  • nice - finally a masterclass on Youtube that´s really worth watching. i second the other comments wanting MOAR!

where did you get this vid?

    many thanks!

  • Bream is the greatest guitar player in the XX century. man , he is the guy!!

  • Love the bit where he says: '...get carried away, nothing wrong with that.' Bream is truly THE master of the classical guitar. No one comes near him for interpretation and colour. What Glen Gould was to the piano Bream is to the guitar.

  • @jsbach40 Hehe, they even look alike :)

  • Bream had world class rhythm as he was also a Jazz Guitar player too.

  • @anaplat bwv 1000 lute version, bwv 1001 violin

  • great video

  • Bream rocks.

  • Bream's commentaries help so much ... Thanks

  • I agree with Dodom 123, please post anything you have of this masterclass.

  • why ?

  • Because no one has gone deeper into the music than Julian Bream, and it is fascinating to hear what motivates his interpretations.

  • what a gem - why not help humanity and put the whole masterclass on here to educated the civilized musicians of this world

  • @Dodom123 "Civilized musicians"? Not only does it make you sound like an asshole but, you have a rather stupid spelling mistake within your comment.

  • is the fuga in la minore from the sonata No.1 for Violin Bach
