I don't own any accoustic basses, but I exclusively use D'addario chromes on all my Electrics. Can't go back to roundwounds since I tried these. These are just too comfortable to give up for the rounds.

Hey, thanks! This OB3CE bass cost me 250 EUR a few years ago and it is well worth the money. I am afraid that Tacoma Olympia does not make them eny more :-/

Thanks! Well, those d'addario chromes and the bass work together quite well. (but you have to adjust the neck because of the strong pull)

I'm afraid not. In the middle of a noisy crowd you would evenget problems being heard using a dreadnought acoustic guitar. But this bass has a pickup+preamp.

Nope. I have .045 to .100. The writing on it says d'Addario ECB81 regular light gauge, longscale, warm/mellow flat wound

prices vary so better ask google. I remember to have paid about 30 EUR but I play them ever since because they dont loose their sound like any roundwound. So in fact it even saved me a lot of money.

Similar to the difference between an acoustic and electric guitar: You hear more wood and it is a different sound you cannot describe with words.
