Letting go of reason is what makes faith doable. In the end it is what is required to believe. For a long time I tried to combine faith and science, but eventually I came to too many logical impasses to ignore. So I dropped faith and the world made sense.

There's a book about science in the Bible? o.o I don't know if the science the author found is anything really credible. Someone pointed out to me a huge flaw in Genesis where God creates light, night and day on the first day and then creates the stars (which give us the light for day and night) three days later. Do you know why it says that? I'm a little curious.

There's a moment in life of every educated individual where one starts to realise the difference between myths and reality. E.g. they realise that Santa Claus isn't realistic character. And that is also the reason people start to have doubts about the mythical stories in the bible. Because they cleary are just those, mythical stories with very little basis in reality.

But there nothing alarming in it, it's called logic and reasoning, which are the basis of successful life, not superstition.

If, on the basis of "logic and reasoning" you count the Bible as "myth," I challenge you. Christianity is very reasonable and the only religion whose roots can be verified by historical research and investigation. If you want to investigate, try reading Josh McDowell "Evidence That Demands a Verdict" or Henry Morris' "Science and the Bible." As far as explaining the origin and complexity of life systems, Creationism is much more reasonable than Evolutionism.

Bible is just a collection of old writings (what is included was chosen on the ground of what was popular at the 3rd century and voted by raise of hands), nothing more. And it's actually one of the most irrational and illogical collections compared to other religious text. All it basicly says that there is magical sky daddy that created things by speaking and it went downhill from there and it's our fault and we should repent. Fear is the best way to control people.

But I understand that you are so deeply indoctrinated to your cult called christianity that you can't examine it with objectively or with reason. You are so selfish and arrogant that you need to have some special place for you, a hall made of gold, because you cannot comprehend that you are merely product of nature and will come as such when you pass away. Sorry, no magical happyland exists, nor a torture chamber for those who decide not to be guided with fairyttales.

There was a time that people thought lighting was made by gods. Now we have good understaning of electricity. There was a time people couldn't explain the diversity of life. Now we have good understading on how species have evolved. Some people just can't face the reality and accept that we are merely animals.

The sad thing really is that for unfounded reasons, many people reject our loving, holy, powerful Creator/Redeemer. They not only miss His blessings in this life, but unless they respond to Him in repentance and faith, thy will be eternally separated from Him in the glorious eternal ages to come.
