  • JOHN DOESNT GET DISLIKES!

  • His voice is so beautiful, but it scares me a bit, that "would he make it on American Idol"?, who gives a %&#$, he is great!!!

  • LOVE U JOHN...

  • I agree with you TheXXXDB about what a loss this man was. His music is special, just like he was.

  • tears are running down my face.....what a loss this man was.....may his message and his music last a lifetime....

  • On the date of this performance, August 18, 1991, I was having a personal crisis. Mr. Denver's words helped turn my life around and for that I will alway love and miss this beautiful man.

  • John Denver's messages in his songs will be forever relevant to our world and the way we should all try to live our lives. His work will never date itself. His wonderful voice was filled with such passion for the environment, children, love, and the promise of better things, that his songs will live forever. I am a huge John Denver fan and always will be. He still is greatly missed. Thank you, John. Because of your legacy of beautiful music, you'll never be forgotten.

My dad was and still is a big Johnny D fan (As my sister and me called him) Will always remind me of my dad and as a family we did get to see him live in Manchester before he died and it was a brilliant Concert. Was still young myself then and I recall an old lady in the seat infront shouting "I love you John Denver" God she was knocking on and sat right up in the gods lol!

  • ONE OF THE BEST COMPOSITIONS EVER. ONE OF THE BEST EXPRESSIONS OF ONES FEELING. UR THE BEST JOHN DENVER.

  • What a wonderful performance!! Beutifully sung, lovely arrangement and accompaniment. Best version i have heard.

  • Such a touching song...

  • A great song that was written with ink of love...

  • i always thought how it was interesting how he went from a folk type singing to country and then to light rock then to opera as his voice changed a little as time went by. He was always a wonderful singer and he's missed by many

  • the song speaks for my beautiful son, who is 6 years old and has a form of autism and is non-verbal. It is absolutely beautiful.

  • Thank You John.

  • Amazing singer!! Very opera like singer,, not like country singing.

  • "We are standing all together, face to face and arm in arm; we are standing on the threshold of a dream. No more hunger, no more killing, no more wasting life away. It is simply an idea, and I know it's time has come." Those may be the most beautiful words I've ever heard in a song.

  • This song is what is from the spring show! fourth grade did it

  • Wasn't he great? He was such a wonderful singer. Such a tragedy when he died so young. Thanks for this video. It's lovely.

  • very meaningful song. i like it

    GLADYS ELIZABETH♥♥

  • wow Ive been looking for this.. thanks for sharing^_^

  • Quite simply. THANK YOU for posting this. I got to meet John at one of his last concerts here in Baltimore. I didn't become a fan until after his passing. But now, I relish every note he sang. He sang for all of us. He sang for me, he sang for you. He sang for everyone and everything. His talent and body will be missed. Though his spirit lives on!

  • Well said Sam

  • DSK II and Isabella-

    I WANT YOU TO LIVE!!!

Never doubt that I will be with you!

    Love Daddy

  • "we are standing on the threshold of a dream....no more hunger, no more killing, no more wasting life away"

    Soon John, soon.

  • I spent all of my teens and my twenties looking for this song. All I could remember was the line, "It's an idea whose time has come". Indeed it is. This may well be the most important song humanity has ever heard. Thank you, John Denver, for this song. I have used it to define my life.

  • jade this song really had a large unfluence on me too.. My favorite line is "We are standing all together, face to face and arm in arm, we are standing on the threshold of a dream."

  • me too

  • JD was not only a rare talent, but a very down-to-Earth individual. I had the great priviledge of meeting him backstage after a concert in the '80s, and unlike other celebrities, he gave me his full, undivided attention even though we were amidst a crowd. One-on-one and just small talk with drinks in hand. Fame didn't go to his head. I knew he was a great talent before then, but I discovered that evening how terrific and genuine a guy he really was. Thanks for the songs and memories, John!

  • rarely we have the luky of knowing such talent,he was fine sonwriter wonderful singer, and after all great great person!

  • Right you said John, "...people are the same no matter the color of your skin; no matter the language you speak; no matter the form of your politics or the expression of your faith!

It is in giving, loving unconditionally where we can find life meaningful.

    Awesome song! Awesome JD!

Well done colonelclintd !! Keep it up!

  • John's message still rings true today. He was very special.

  • He made music in praise and celebration of life in an imperfect world. A world he sung so much about to make living a bit of heaven on earth. Thanks, John. Because of your songs we all want to live.

  • Que du bonheur à voir et entendre John Denver

et là, Si Vrai !Merci +++++++

  • He makes it look like no effort whatsoever!!! Makes you very proud to have seen him in person!! We shall not see another like this in this lifetime!

To be remembered in the hearts and minds of those you have left behind - is to never die!

  • great post more never sceen footage of my idol, John can u post more of this special?
