  • Love Fogelberg, and this Song!

    He's just Awesome, Missed!

  • RIP Dan Fogelberg (1951-2007)

  • I started listening to Dan's music back in 1982 and am still a big of it. This is actually my favorite of his songs. He was truly a master of his craft.

  • Does anybody know if that is Kim Delaney in this video?

  • I was the assistant director on this video and it was a big deal for me to work with Dan having grown up inthe mid-west and being a huge fan of his music. I have to see if there is a better copy of this and even though I my career I have produced over 500 music videos this was one of my favorites and Dan was a blast to work with mainly because of his smart ass humor that was similar to mine. RIP DAN!

  • Dear Big Billy, I am fascinated by Dan and his music. Please post other videos of Dan

  • Great Band;

    Dan Fogelberg-Guitar and Vocals

    Kenny Passerelli-Bass and Vocals

    Robert McEntee Guitar ans Vocals

    Mike Hanna-Keyboards

    Russ kunkle-Drums and Congas

    Lou Cortelezzi-Sax

  • @nyrichiek Absolutely - it's the first thing that attracted me to Dan when a copy of "Souvenirs" arrived at the college radio station at which I worked. Never heard of the guy, but turn it over and hell - half the Eagles are on there & Joe Walsh produced the darn thing! Anyone who can capture the interest of players of that caliber (who certainly don't need the session work) is someone I want to hear, and hear I did - I wore out two copies of the vinyl. Same story here - a stellar lineup.

  • @OhBeeg1BanjoV Hey, I live in Brazil. I am absolutely fascinated by Dan and his music. I love The Eagles and Joe Walsh.I love Lonely in Love.

  • Dan Fogelberg would've been 59 this year.

  • Story of my marriage.

  • This song has one of the most beautiful saxaphone melodies in the world.

Too bad the beginning of this song was cut-off.

  • Yes it really does. When I was younger, it just used to take me away. It still does!

  • It's not Kim Delaney...but don't know who it is?

  • @TriviaGeek463 I'll give you a clue: 1st season of 24...

  • @TriviaGeek463 never whatched that...

  • I know a cougar is an older female that seeks younger guys. What is an older male that seeks younger females - a tiger

  • an inmate in the county jail,

  • @tonytarheel55 Hey, I live in Brazil. I hear Dan since 1984. I am fascinated by Dan and his music. He was the senior most beautiful of this world

  • Anyone know who the model in the video is? She looks like Kim Delaney from Army Wives and NYPD Blue.

  • Anyone know who the model in the video is? She looks like Kim Delaney from Army Wives.

  • He DIED??? When, and how?????

  • He died 12/16/07 - he'd been battling prostaate cancer for a few years and it finally got him. you can read at danfogelbergDOTcom

  • Oh, how sad! He was a great musician and that song is one of my all time favorites. I feel really bad that he died. Thank you for the info!

  • with his beard he looked like Michael Gross when he portrayed Steven Keaton on Family Ties

  • A great find. My favorite Fogelberg song from his beardless years.

    I miss you Dan (1951-2007)

  • I'd pay a lot of money to get a photo of him in that black tank shirt they show him in later in this video (for only a few seconds)!!!

  • I second that! He did look gooooood!

  • how old was he here???

  • The album was released in 87' and also the video. Dan was born in 51', that would made him 36 yr.old. To me, he was like vintage wine in his 30's and 40's. He still looked great in his 50's.

  • very handsome. Nice long legs : )

he's forever handsome to me, in my dreams..

    we miss you Dan

  • I love this song and I used it in a video for Peter Tomarken.. Come on by and check it out... Great video BTW....

  • Thanks for this posting. I always loved this song. Dan's voice just gets to me. I miss him. He sang my life, particularly with this song. What talent!

  • I remember the first time I had heard this. All I said,"Here we go again,Dan is on the outs"! I truly believe music was his first love, and any woman that was going to be in his life, better made sure they understood that. This is my spin on a interview that was written up in the late 70's or early 80's. Jean really did get him at the best time of his life.I truly feel that he was finally content with his life and the accomplishments he had with his music. To be lonely in love? Hate that feeling!!

  • Thank you for your words. I also believe if a woman loves a man, love understands what a person's pursuits; passions, etc mean to them. I also realize it can put a strain. In his song, "Believe in Me" is about trust. So, I agree with you, he was at a good time. I am dating a much older man(Professor) who told me this about his life: he had accomplished his career and now wanted love.

    So, see

    Thanks, Asquare176

  • In that interview, he was very sincere in his thoughts about Maggie's feelings. He knew it must be hard for her to know that she would never be first in his life, because music was! He went on to say if she did come between him and the music, that relationship would be over. I think there was more than his love of his music, that destroyed their relationship. No he didn't cheat! I did read somewhere, that there could been a discretion on her part. You know rumors? If she did, why?

  • How could anyone cheat on this man? Even if music was his first love, anyone knowing him would have already been aware of that fact. He was too freaking handsome to look around for anyone else! I know I wouldn't have!

  • Being handsome and gorgeous doesn't make a marriage perfect.A musician's life, especially one that is married, does sacrifice his relationship with his wife with all of the traveling on the road. The heart does not always grow fonder with time.Exiles was so autobiographical, you can hear what happened and can put your own spin to it. One thing he said, she did not like him writing about their relationship and putting it out there. If she did cheat, I believe he got the best of her here!!

  • at least he was married at the time of his death. At least he had someone to say good bye to him.

Just to make sure, Fogelberg did not have children, right?

  • No children as we know. He made a conscience decision not to have any.

  • That too!! What ever!! My spelling or grammar is not nearly as bad as most. So cut me a break!

  • Thanks for posting this video, was there an interview afterwards? Can you post that one?
