  • What kind of floor is used for power tumbling?? Cuz they are doing things female artistic gymnast don't or can't do....

  • "stoy" stands for russian (and some other slavic languages) "стой" which means "freeze, hold it! don't move!".. it's a good old verbal way to support tumbler or gymnast used as an appeal to stick the landing. I find it very demonstrative that this term is now used by even non-Russian-speaking tumblers, which makes us feel very proud of our acrobatic tradition..))

    *tumbling 4life!!*

  • What does "stoy" mean? I hear it in all the tumbling vids and in some gymnastics vids too.

  • I don't know if it is some gymnastics term but in Bulgarian it means something like "stop, halt, hold".

  • yeh.. another way to say STICK for the landing
