  • "But you were always there...to get me out of trouble, again..."

    Oh Ramses...

  • 315,057 viewers?u kidding me it should have at least 1,000,000,000 viewers

  • i have to listen to this song while i'm playing skyrim!!!

  • stupid voldimort wont let his ppl go

  • ITUNES!!!!!!ADD THIS!!!

  • Thus saith the lord

  • I thought Val Kilmer played moses?

  • @ShlimmyM8 he did but when moses sung, he was played by some other dude.

  • I will learn to sing this...I've been listening to it all day.

One of my favorite stories growing up. Moses...what an icon...what a man. This is a perfect description of what it is to be faithful. It drives wedges between people, even family. But it is the Lord's will. People misunderstand it as hate...when really...it's a begging plea to listen...because thus saith the Lord, and the Lord shan't be ignored.

  • This song gives me chills

  • EPIC! Moe, you rock!

  • I'm an Atheist, but this movie is a work of art. :)

  • My childhood.

  • this movie is awesome, and im an atheist!

  • in the movie you feel bad for rameses but in the bible you don't even think about how he feels, you just think let them you moron, i would have let them go in the beginning.

  • LOVE this song! But it isn't called "Let My People Go" it's "The Plagues".

  • Ya know, as much as I think Rameses was a stubborn and proud asshole, I think, at least in this version, there was another reason for not letting the slaves leave. I think that since Moses had hurt him so badly, he wanted to make Moses suffer and kinda piss him off in a way. It's really sad though, you can just hear the pain in Rameses' voice.

  • Goosebumps...all over my body. My goodness this is an amazing song.

  • 13 people blacked out listening to such a powerful song and missed the like button!!

  • I know it was harsh, but Rameses didn't want to give in to what was right, so he made the whole of Egypt suffer the wrath of the Lord. Yea man, don't mess wiv God

  • @MmeaFoxfire

That is very true. Did you know that some religious parents will not allow their children to associate with non-religious children?! And it really is a good song, even if I am of the celestial tribe and therefore worship Queen Roslyn. Please, nobody make fun of me for that...

  • @Coolgal101100 why would anyone make fun of you for that? I associate with an unknown religion and worship the goddess Luneia

  • @BellaLaRose42 Luneia? Elaborate. when i was in the military i studied the many religions ppl had as a ship's counselor, plz msg me the details on this one since i can't seem to find anything on it.

  • @Coolgal101100 That awkward moment when i dont know what you are talking about and tried to google it.... just to find the results is this same comment. :(

  • No matter what your religion is, it's a damned good song and a damned good story.

  • To think that Rameses is also Voldemort. Kinda fits, ahahaha xD

  • My chior needs to sing this version instead of the older one.

  • Hmmm... who knew Lord Voldemort could sing??? lol xD

  • hebrew version is better....

  • This songs legit!! Love itt

  • I agree with both the top rated comments :D.

  • I'm sorry. This is a childhood movie. I can NEVER hate this movie, nor this song. It's iconic in my memory.

  • I RAPED THE REPLAY BUTTON! I'M SO ASHAMED BUT I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!

  • @GigaBahamut me 2222!!!! raped!!!

  • Is anyone creeped out by the fact that it's Voldemort singing? O.O

  • i would be lying if i said i didnt sing along (however badly)

  • Once I called you brother once I though the chance to make you laugh was all i ever wanted... Then you disliked this video

  • If you dont like this ... Ill send the pestivence and plauge into your house

  • I LOVE THIS SONG , ILOVE Mosses He is soooooooo Gorgeous!!!!!! his eyes are like a beautiful!! i could melt in them!!!! and plus this song touches me!!!! i love the lord jesus nd mosses!! mosses face is just so calm,u can see he means buisness nd he is a peaceful loving soul!! that all i see in him!! his brother just needs guidence from god :D

  • One of the greatest songs everrrrrrrrrr. I never knew what the chanting was and now that I do it makes it so much more powerful. Gives me chills everytime.

  • i like the invisible narrative and realism added to the Scriptural version; the brotherhood b/t Moses and Pharaoh.

  • Probably the best Chior-sung song EVER.

  • I love this song. I love the movie. But when I actually read the words, and think about it, i can't help but cry. none of this would have happened, if Pharoah had just thrown away his pride. Yet, it also makes me smile when I listen to this song, it shows me just how powerful and mighty our God truly is. It shows us what he's capable of . but it also shows us how great he is. thumbs up if you agree.

  • Who knew Voldemort could sing? ;)

  • :D haha I started writing a fanfic for the "Leviathan" series based off this song. ORZ =.=

  • lol this song cool

  • Imagine you hear this song for first time in your life...the last thing you would expected is to find this on a childs cartoon...could easily be sung in a theater or opera

We kids that grew up in the 90's experienced the most entertaining childhood,i almost feel sad for todays kid that are condemned to watch Dora the explorer on TV channels :(

  • @DevilOnHog thats one of their ten plagues

  • @DevilOnHog Got that right I miss all the good Tv Shows I used to watch when I was a kid but by 2005 things went down and we got cable

  • I used to not let Moses's people go....until I took Ten Plagues to the Egypt.

  • Such a powerful piece of music! I love this song the most from this classical movie. It's a shame that most people really don't really take into consideration how good this kind of music is just because it was on a cartoon movie and/or deals with religion, but I feel this stuff is way better than the shit that you hear on the real life TV shows like Hannah Montanna.

  • This makes me think, like the POWER OF GOD IS SO STRONG!!

  • Atheists can just shut up. You love this story the way you would love an enjoyable fiction story and you know it. Your intentions are clear, to show how great this bible-based story is, but I couldn't care less. That's all I have to say. Your religion doesn't really have much to do with your interests. In many stories/series' I enjoy, God is yelled at/ridiculed or my religion is badmouthed and various bullcrap stereotypes are used.

-sorry for any typos, I'm nearly knocked out from my melatonin.

  • I don't give a shit about religion, this is an awesome song.

Also, I'm here because of Homestuck. Woooo

  • i love this

  • oops i mean Amick Bryam lol everyone i know says it was Val Kilmer DAMNIT!!

  • im a metalhead but this song is fucking beast!...i also loved the song growing up ^-^ tehe Val Kilmer as Moses PERFECT!

  • @KAScreamingStudios I mean Amick Bryam everyone said it was Val Kilmer DAMNIT!! lol

  • This song brought back memories of watching this film as a child. Love it :)

  • The funny thing is that the stories of Moses and Joseph are in all 3 of the Abrahamic faiths. Which goes to show that we have far more in common than we are different

  • god, this song gives me insane chills.

  • @freckledcheeks Yes, I know!

I've never before in my life listened to a song who gives me chills, it's kind of creepy!

I think that it indicates how mighty God is, actually...

  • @freckledcheeks IKR!? D: >.<

  • @freckledcheeks no, your talking to youtube, not god,

  • @woodlefoof2 except i didn't mean 'God' like i was talking to him, i meant it like 'oh my god'.

  • @freckledcheeks i know xP

  • Man, this soundtrack is as addictive as God is loving!

  • haha voldemort is singing. but anyway, this song is deep....i love the harmony an intensity of the Jews in the background its damning to Rameses an the egyptians

  • im a atheist and love this

  • My fav song just cuz the voice talents are freakin' amazing ^^ i remember watching this when I was 5 this song made me really believe the story of Moses and in the Bible part of the reason I am a Christian today. ^^

  • Love this song!!! It's been stuck in my head for a week now. I saw the movie when I was four :)

  • for some reason...when i sang this...the chorus parts sounded like a chantO.O

  • " the dark lord sings" NYEAAH!!

  • Thus saith the Lord

  • I'm an atheist, but this song is pretty badass.

  • Anyone else think this'd be a good Civil War song as well?

  • I am pagan, my husband is Jewish and our children and nieces and nephews are other religions as well and we can all sit down and watch this film. It is beautiful and speaks to you no matter your religion.

  • LET MY BROTHER GRROOWWWW

  • This makes me want to shake my bootay.

  • Its fantastic music, I'm glad you put it up. I love that I can now actually understand the chanting behind the main characters, it make sit much more powerful

  • I'm an atheist and yet I damn love the Prince of Egypt and King of Dreams.

  • @himynameispuky

Argh I don't care if you're an atheist!! like it or not bitch!

  • @mssonnet26 Amen O_o

  • @himynameispuky why would you not? Im a muslim and I like it but so what?

  • @himynameispuky I'm with you, though I'm not that much of a fan of King of Dreams. It wasn't nearly as amazing as Prince of Egypt.

  • @himynameispuky same here :33

  • @himynameispuky how can u be an atheist if you dont no who made the big bang

  • @gamerscreed100 That's not how you troll.

  • i love not like love this song and hole movie

  • Awesome movie I still watch it and I'm not a child

  • My fav movie! And my fav song from the movie

  • My favorite song from the movie.

  • Oh GOD this is just beautiful

The man that plays Voldemort would be proud

  • @CelesteContradiction That's because the guy who plays Voldy voices Rameses.

  • Please tell me that these jokes are because Voldemort played Ramses and not because it's a religious movie? -__-

  • @wontmakeorbreakme I promise because I am religious so I hope not

  • Humanity is fucked

  • Awesome movie, awesome song :D

  • Wait... Is Ralph Fiennes the guy who plays Voldemort? Ahahaha!

  • I never liked this movie when I was little but now as I am older I really do like watching it and hopefully In the future I will be able to watch this movie with my niece.

  • @Commy01 hahaha I forgot how to laugh -_-

  • Pray for Egypt...

  • How can you dislike this?

  • @evabatenhorst With the dislike button, duh.

  • I never realized how epic this song was when I was little

  • @maritimeglow12 same here i've been watching this since i was four (i watched it yesterday with my sister) when i was little i would sing it not so sure what they were saying

  • epic song. too bad im not christian...actually, it's pretty good! I'm not a fucking retard and don't believe in bronze age children's story made by jew tribes!

  • @iNarbage Atheist here. I'm pretty sure the pope said that you shouldn't believe the stories as literal ones, but as lessons to help govern how you act towards others. Kind of like Aesop's Fables, they're meant to teach lessons.

  • @RageSorrowAnger well yeah i understand that they're for lessons regarding how you should behave and the right thing to do, but when it goes on to say very specific and weird things like no sexual thoughts about women, cutting off the skin on your dong, no tattoos, and shit...AND PEOPLE TAKE IT SRSLY, thats when it starts to get bad, especially when it dominates the world

  • Epic music is epic, no matter what religion the movie is based around. So let's all just enjoy the awesomeness of this music and leave each other's beliefs out of it, hmmm?

  • I litterly got goose bumps from the sheer epicness!

  • 1.your a hypocrite. obviously you have seen or read the series because you understood my reference, so you mock Christianity by condoning in watching it.

    2. i am a christian myself and i have better things in life to do rather than scold people (over youtube to be exact) for making a simple joke that appears to offend only you.

    3. 666 oops i held down the six key OMG IM SO GOING TO HELL FOR THIS DX!!!

    4. i am a really funny person

    5. your just as sinful as i, so your words mean nothing.

  • @reflector1000 yh dude we all are sinners... But we have Jesus with us We (christians) pray to God to be forgiven something u cant do unless you take Jesus in your heart its simple man just say Jesus Forgive me for my sins and come in my heart ...... amen...... and go to church and read the bible :) and for the record your comment wasnt funny :P Have a good day :)

  • @TheAlienware2000 tell me how was i doing something wrong? the voice actor's character in this movie resembled the character he acts in another movie, THERE IS NOTHING TO IT. it was a movie joke not a religous joke. if you didnt like the comment get over it and leave be. don't lecture me about me about things i am already aware of. and i have read the bible and im a member of my church's youth group and there is nothing in what i said that was sinful. and thank you i did have a nice day :)

  • @reflector1000 Ha! dude go read the bible and pray alot :) cuz what u said doesnt made sense at all

  • @TheAlienware2000 ha i am truly convinced that you are so bored that your arguing with me over a comment. now to your other question this song is from a movie (OBVIOUSLY) i made a reference to harry potter (ANOTHER MOVIE). my comment is from 2:06 - 2:20 in this video, and by altering the word people to the word muggles i made a movie reference. i did not joke about christianity and these lyrics are not from the book of exodus. so "dude" i pray that your literacy skills can handle this comment:)

  • @reflector1000 What ever makes you sleep at night.....God bless :)

  • @TheAlienware2000 you to man and thanks for an intelligent debate, and not a mother insulting contest like most people have :)

  • @reflector1000 and how was it a movie joke?

  • @reflector1000 God said Spread my word in the world ...... why cant we do it true youtube? or true facebook?? Cant christians be cool? did u ask your self those qustions?

  • I just noticed a flaw in the song. He said in the song he wished god choose another. Isn't he from Egypt, should it not have been gods choose another

  • @jeremybat2

No, Moses said that line, and now he believes in Lord the God, not in the gods of ancient Egyptians, so that is why he said 'And even now I wish that God had chose another'

  • @jeremybat2 Yes but this movie is about Moses finding God. And realizing he is the only God.

  • Dude, spell "yield" correctly.

In other news... Thank you for posting this. Clarified a few ambiguities.

  • the first few seconds used to scare the hell outta me

  • then let my heart be hardened, and never mind how high the cost may grow, this will still be so

I WILL NEVER LET THE MUGGLES GO!!!!

  • @reflector1000

You really shouldn't mock a movie and the beliefs of the religion that it comes from with phrases from another movie that goes against said religious beliefs. Doesn't make you funny at all.

  • @sazandora85 woah calm down he wasnt mocking the movie he was making a funny reference to another movie. The guy who voiced the character of Radames played Voldemort in Harry Potter.

  • @idinakristinwicked I meant Ramses or however you say his name lol I always forget but I was listening to a musical with names Radames when I typed that and I gues my fingers had a mind of their own lol

  • @reflector1000 HELL NO! I SEND MY SWORD OF GRYFFINDOR!

  • @edwardsnumber1fan1 lol thus saith dumbledore

  • I love this song

  • Superman vs Lex Luthor,Batman vs Joker and Pharaoh vs Moses The eptimoy of archenemies

  • Ummmm the name of the song is not Let My People Go, it's Once I Called you Brother.

  • @KurohTan What? No it's not? lol It's called Plagues!

  • @SuperMegaAgent Actually, as it is called the Plagues, it can be titled many things because of the lines o.o

  • @princetrunks45 Exactly my point . . . it's called The Plagues, he said it's CALLED Once I called you Brother . . . not ''Titled'' Once I call you brother.

  • @SuperMegaAgent I used to call it "that angry song from the prince of egypt"

  • @Iamatheist1234 lol How old where you?

  • @SuperMegaAgent lol i think 3rd -4th grade? i watched it every week back then.

  • @Iamatheist1234 I'm guessing the Movie didn't convince you considering your Atheist. lol I think I was about 5th grade maybe? can't remember . . .

  • @SuperMegaAgent When I was once a Christian, but probably not because I was convinced by a movie , I mean- that would be kind of silly. But I just choose to leave because of my constant search for truth, and for now, Christianity isn't look that good from my end, but I still admire the ideas(some) and spirit of religious folks, I respect nobody more than Christians who walk the talk. but yea this movie back then was like one of those films that I would be like "mommy!mommy! I wanna watch moses!"

  • Comment removed

  • i send the green light and snake, oh dear it backfired this is a joke to do with harry potter

  • this song is actually called plagues, thanks for being confusing prince of egypt soundtrack

  • I may not be much of a religious person, but this movie has always been one of my favorites, and this song and Heaven's Eyes are possibly some of the best tracks animated movies have ever produced. It's creepy and it's powerful, and the image sequencing only adds to the emotion of the scene. Great song, great movie, great lyrics vid, now I finally know the background lyrics XD

  • wow, who'd have guessed voldemort could sing?...... voldemort voldemort, oooo voldy voldy voldy voldemort!

  • Oh god. *Insert another facepalm*

Last time I came here, they were argueing about CHristianity.

Now.... we make jokes about Harry Potter.

    I think I like this

  • I sent my snake, I sent my curse

    Thus said Voldemort~~~~~~~~~~

*Facepalm* That didn't work out how I thought it would

  • @namixasNOTnamora

Lol it sort of works :P

    Good try.

  • @MastersargeGrif Hahaha, we yah! That would be beast though...Lord Voldemort as Pharaoh..scare some egyptian kids...

  • creepiest intro to a song ive ever heard

  • HAHAHAHHAHAAHAH. Lord Voldemort....what are you doing in Egyptian times?

  • I'm jashinist and I love this song btw 1/15,000 people are jashinist

  • I never really knew the lyrics as a kid and now I'm looking at them

  • HOW DID YOU KNOW I WAS SINGING? o_O

  • Its so sad....I mean, Rameses was so sad and heart broken when Moses left.. and then he returns and tries to bring down all that Rameses believed in. He missed him so he changed and hardened. Rameses looked up to Moses and Moses left. I understand why Rameses feels that way. Hes heart broken..</3

  • you know... I loved this movie as a kid but I didn't really appreciate the music then... listening to it now I can.

  • the bes song of the movie !!!

  • Excellent. Even me (An anti-theist) loves some of the songs in this film.

  • Everyone I think it's official, Lord Volemort is an Atheist! Haha! the inconveinent truth
