  • Geez did Don ever have good hair? i think the answer is no

  • Man George could have really used a boost pedal of some sort for his solo.

  • @clitoricam you are a retard:)

  • 4 people couldn't break the chain.

  • george was a eeediot change his hair style.

  • Lynch seems to be working the Mike Reno/Loverboy look. Great video, thanks for sharing.

  • do you think they have Juan's bass turned up loud enough? It is hard to hear George's solo--lol-

probably didn't even put George's guitar through the board- This is a great video! Thanks!

  • Isnt is funny how Mick Brown looks pretty much completely the same now and he was the one who probably partied the hardest

  • every one in dokken are in there 50's

now and jeff he still looks the same i mean even tho he wasnt in this

  • I've never seen George look so goofy....

    Great Dokken performance though....

  • didnt know they changed bass players, lol. thought he just dyed his hair!!!HAHA

  • @corey9248

    weird bro

  • i have similar hairstyle, like George Lynch in this concert :)

  • This was when Juan Croucier was the bass player, he went & played for RATT after this tour.

  • George has a short nice hair cut because his mom won't let him have it long yet !! What is he like 10 yrs old here - HA '

  • @MrScottdrummer

he is actually almost 30 here

  • @MrScottdrummer

    Pre Aqua-net version

  • Look a helluva lot like Loverboy here. I wore this cassette out at least twice. Good stuff. Thanks for posting.

  • what if Juan would have stayed in the band. Think of the songs he wrote for ratt, and think of the songs lynch and pilson wrote.

  • Dokken is like Van halen Not too heavy, not too sweet.

  • Good that dokken stopped to play guitar and Lynch grow his hair

  • Played on the A and B circuit in Tampa back in the day. It was always a race to be one of the first bands to cover these tunes. George Lynch and Steve Vai were my two favorites to cover. If you think about it, they have a lot of similarities to their approach in playing.

  • Juan Croucier!!!.....that guy's hysterical

  • in this vid george lynch looks like a coker spaniel

  • Horrible mix, I'd shoot the sound guy after this sheeot. Bass out front over the lead WTF.

  • LOL! Ouch, oh man this is so horrible. I think this is one of those times where it would have been better if I had never seen this footage. I guess it was fortunate however, that there was no way to go but up from here. Haha!

  • buen heahy metal

  • first time to watch this video and was really looking forward to hearing George's solo work and boom, nothing. What a shame since I love Lynch's talent. Thanks David for the post.

  • George's and Don's guitars sound way too low in the mix, especially George's, because I could barely hear his solo.

  • Before Jeff Pilson, Wow! haha But for me, it's cool to see Don with guitar in hand. I always felt that once George left the band, Don could just start playing guitar again, as he was always adamant about, that he was not a DLR style front man. However, I think playing those licks that George Lynch created is probably too tough for him! haha

  • Crane technique

  • Juan and Robbin made Ratt what they were. This is just a little preview of what Ratt was gonna be!

  • @thepaddywagonishere Ratt N Roll or Rockin' With Dokken. Both is good

  • Wow Juan Croucier!!

  • @nastyroker good bass player

  • wow i didn't know don played guitar

  • @Music1Man93 He seriously played until George took over, since he felt they clashed, style wise

  • lol george lynch looks like tom cruise in the vid.

  • yeh, didnt juan eventually OD on vodka

  • CLASSIC

  • whose the bassist

  • @tmouncher1 juan croucier...later he join what became ratt..

  • Juan sure knows how to groove!.. hehe.. without his dance/groove moves, I wouldn't know it was him.

  • This ROCKS! I had no idea Dokken footage this old existed!

  • Juan Croucier!!!

  • i was , and i still a big fan of this fucking modest band... lml

  • Now this is awesome

  • Almost 30 years ago, can't fuckin believe it. still love it.....

  • is it just me or does Lynch's guitar sound out of tune?

  • still lovin it... their great banning my head to this ..if you keep it real bang your head................

  • sorry but what was i on back then? I think im falling asleepzzzzzzzzzz Loll Just kiddind I like all kinds of music

  • sorry but what was i on back then? I think im falling asleepzzzzzzzzzz Loll

  • Nope not Jeff Pilson. It;s Juan Croucier... bassist for Ratt.

  • wait a minute that bassist thats not Jeff Pilson

  • @Rockchild1992 It's Juan Croucier... bassist for RATT

  • @Rockchild1992 yah i believe it was Juan on just their first or their first two studio albums, Jeff came later

  • @kid1111111 oh ok i need to learn more history of Dokkeb

  • @Rockchild1992 Juan was on the studio version of the first album, but never actually played for them outside of that. For the most part they just used fill-in guys; they had, Jeff though, by the time they filmed the music video for this.

  • buen tema pero esta tocado de otra forma

  • is play of other form

  • george lynnc his hair short look the colombian singer juanes

  • DOKKEN FUCKING BEATS ASS!.!.

  • dudes , they need to put more distortion

  • @russia199999999 more... You mean WAY MORE?

  • Rokken with Dokken!

  • Sounds Fu_cking Good....LIVE...Man......GIve me some DRUGS...

  • Hahaha George with short hair and with Juan (from Ratt) on bass

    Awesome!

  • i saw these guys last friday. they are AWESOME!!!!. im 13 and i can tell u 80s hair metal is way better than modern trash

  • rockin with dokken

  • LYNCH IS SO YOUNG! I love it! ahahaha

  • @iamjimmy86 Believe it or not he was 27 here. He's an old man compared to the rest of the scene

  • I really liked Dokken when they came out. I still love their music, and I play this song as well as others of theirs in my bands even now and the music stills rocks! Unfortunately, this video is very bad, the only time I've ever heard Don sing flat- ouch!

He's trying to play rhythm guitar too maybe that was the problem. he also sings an octave down on many parts of the song here - errrrgh! Can't even hear lynch even on his solos - poor representation of this band.

  • I was born in the 60's and was able to enjoy Dokken in they're heyday. Now their old and really suck!

  • 1. I was maybe 11 - 12 when this was filmed.

    2. Juan C. in the band is awesome.

    3. Don playing guitar is horrific !

    4. George with short hair... no biggie .....

    5. George looking like he is 16 ? eeeeek !

  • amazing band!

  • Dokken é fooda.

  • I'm glad I was in my teens and 20s during the 80s so I could enjoy this when it was happening.

  • Dokken is one and only hair metal band. They're just classic.

  • Thanks for posting. This is very early Dokken obviously even before Jeff Pilson joined the band.

  • hey look !!! juan croucier :D

  • yeah wish id be there in the 70's and 80's , heard great stories from those awesome times from my elders, wish i was there to experience the rock n roll life style of the times

  • @aerosmithfan258 Good Times!!

  • @aerosmithfan258 sorry to say it my friend but you right...today's youth is missing a lot...music meant more even pop music was better

  • Yeah thats Juan only he moves like he does lol , Juan please get back with RATT and thanks for all the help and love you and Stephen showed Robin Crosby before he died God Bless You JUAN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I thought it was Jaun. he moves unlike any other.

  • Nice bass solo. Lol! Turn up the guitar.

  • this is with Juan Croucier, before Jeff Pilsen

  • ROCKIN WITH DOKKEN

  • The song can suck, but i liked and don´t give a shit about what people say, have a good rifft and is good.

    Rockin´with Dokken!!

  • @oneandonlyful you are retarded

  • George looks like the drummer from Blondie.

    But anyways.

This a Dokken video I like, their still young and at the beginning of their career at this moment.

Now some bandmembers became a bit arrogant.

  • Dude. that's Crouzier from RATT playing bass. I can tell the swagger anywhere.

  • @orlandosierra Yes it is!

  • @orlandosierra Funny, I never realized he was in Dokken. Busted a wiki on it and he played bass from 1980-1983.

  • damn they're young here

  • Juan Rulez what an amazing bassist.

  • Richie Pawlak on Bass?

  • That looks like Juan Crouchier from Ratt playing bass

  • Everybody observe ROCK GODS as they were in the 80's!

  • still got the hair...

  • where did you get this!!! this is great!! classic juan on bass....hysterical

  • chale.....ta chido dokken.....total...

la escencia de la rola es siempre la misma

    raza....

    animooooooooooooo

  • 100% agree with the Pilson comments.......there's no comparison. Juan is okay but his stage moves are so camp it's ridiculous. Pilson has it all and is irreplaceable.

These clips suffer from poor guitar sound and a bass heavy [make that HEAVY] mix.

  • pilson was dokkens back bone

  • ya juan fit ratt alot better

  • This is cool. I remember back in the 80's it was near impossible to see the latest Dokken video. Now you tube brings this gem to me. Ah the memories

  • @debdar39

as well as everything we have forgotten..........:)

    (I have about 7 brain cells left)..LOL

  • Ha, not wrong there mate.

  • Great live sound but I hear a lot of Juan in the mix. Not that he's not a great bassist.

  • ya, you are a much better guitar player. Lynch is a fuckin shredder man. Dont know what you have heard.

  • Cool seein Juan here great song and band, one of my top fav hard rock/metal acts!

  • Dude, is it just me or does George look just disturbing with short hair?

  • @TO0DLES213 hahaha its Ralph Macchio man

  • @kid1111111 Haha - you laugh now, but your kids will laugh at your appearance now in a few decades also.. and these guys were probably getting laid every single night by some seriously hot groupies..

  • @TO0DLES213

He looks like he's trying to be Jeff Beck. =P

  • @TO0DLES213 hahahahahahahahaha yeah really wtf

  • line up pls.

  • Don't get me wrong, fellers... no knock on Jeffey as he's one of my all-time favorites... I just like the core sound of Dokken mixed w/ the perverted groove/feel of Juan.

  • macitoneto got that right!!! WOOOOOOOOooooooooooo.......

  • Thank You for sharing this video with true fans,

  • Am I the only one that thinks that Dokken was incredible w/ Juan? He just brought something....he gave 'em a thick groove and carried the depth of the solos so f'n well.. He did the same thing w/ DeMartini too... fucker knows how to team up w/ a guitar god really, really well!

  • Jeff Pilson is not only a good bass player but He's a GREAT song writer.Juan is a guy who you can plug in the band and he'll get the job done but he's no Pilson.

  • Jeff is good but juan is also a great song writer he wrote the songs for dokken i cant see you n live to rock rock to live..and he brought lack of communication n your in love to ratt among others

  • @motleycrue24 Robin Crosby wrote Lack of Communication..............Not Juan.

  • @cbond99 haha no he didnt dude i have talked to juan..if you dont beileve me go read it up on wiki

  • @motleycrue24 Do you believe everything you read on "Wiki"? Does it say on "Wiki" that you and Juan and friends and talk to each other all the time too?

  • @cbond99 do your in idiot no i dont beileve everything wiki says but i dont beileve what i read on the back of out of the cellar dipshit

  • @motleycrue24 First-off, maybe you could try being civil. I didn't curse at you or use derogatory names toward you. Lets debate this like adults. When I said "wrote" I'm talking about the music, not the lyrics. I'm a guitar player, so I meant the guitar riff.

    Peace

  • @cbond99 well first off your trying to tell me something that aint true...juan wrote the guitar riffs for the song he wrote the music for it and crosby didnt write a single note for it it says it on vh1 behind the music so dont try to tell me something that isnt true

  • @cbond99 dude juan wrote lack of communication and a bunch of songs for ratt it clearly says it on vh1 behind the music idiot

  • @dokken447 Learn some manners. I was talking about the music, the riff, NOT the lyrics. Nice way to insult a total stranger by calling them an idiot, online toughguy.

  • @cbond99 well maybe if you have known your facts... juan plays guitar.. just cause he never played guitar n ratt doesnt mean he cant he wrote such riffs as your in love, it doesnt matter, she wants money, lack of communication, n scratch that itch where he did play the solo for it on the studio version..when somone writes a song that doesnt mean just the lyrics......

  • @cbond99 ya thats what i thought bitch

  • @cbond99 ya so dont try to tell me something you know nothing about

  • @dokken447 Couldn't let it go could you? I let you have the last word, but you wanted to argue, so you had to keep pushing it didn't you? (How immature) But I guess I should have expected it from a 34 year old Burger King employee who still lives with mommy, plays WOW and trolls the net for people to pick fights with so he can feel tough. You are pathetic. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, Robin Crosby wrote the music/guitar lick for Lack of Communication & VH1 behind the music says so. Get a life.

  • @cbond99 damn man what did i hurt your feelings hahaha..once again you try to tell me something that isnt true you still trying to push for it arent ya when your wrong your wrong just let it go buddy it says it nowhere in there

  • @cbond99 who cares about RATT and their one hit..the only talent that band had was Warren...AND HE was just trying to be george lynch...and finnaly who gives a shit about the riff in lack of communication...it might as well be "mary had a little lamb"..it is by no means musical genius and doesnt even deserve to be discussed or argued about..in their whole carrer RATT has made ONE god album...and even that album only had a couple decent songs on it..

  • @cannibascorpse If it doesn't deserve to be argued about then quit being a troll and injecting yourself into a month old conversation. Warren was trying to be George Lynch? That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard kid. Go listen to your Atreyu CD and play guitar hero little boy.

  • @cbond99 and if you think you have some kinda of genius comeback for that fact..you are sadly mistaken..you see..i have most of the world behind me on that fact alone..seeing as you and your butt buddy here are just 2 out of the 5000 people in the world who bought any ratt album after out of the cellar,i hav e a feeling you as well are that WOW playing fanboy you described dokken447..stfu.go to the ratt chat room on aol and argue with the other 2 guys logged on

  • @cannibascorpse There is a Ratt chatroom? Cool, see you there, Troll! BTW, the album right after "Cellar" - Invasion of Your Privacy, went multi Platinum - Genuis.

  • I love this vid, apart from the fact that Lynch is completely drowned out.

  • That was when band really played live and NO backtrackin. How it should be!

  • Dokken in '82.....and still kickass!!!Rock roles!!!!!

  • is don actually playing or just posing? I never seen a video of him playing in the 80's

  • yeah dude, listen closely and you'll hear two distinct guitar tracks...what's more, during the solo, you can barely hear George, as Don is mixed way louder than him...

  • omg, goerges short hair! lol

  • Comment removed

  • Great clip, they all seem to have fun and energy on stage, Mick has still same drumming style! :) I also loved George's solo, he shows who's the man.

  • yup, kickass version, too bad the solo is played at a criminally low volume...

  • dokken rulez wish i lived in the 80s not the 90s it sucks

  • i hate the 2000s.everythin is fucked up.wish i was born in the early 70s so i could be my current age bakc in the 80s

  • @louiscfc93 so true =|

  • @louiscfc93 but the 80's was just like the 2000's, shitty pop and shitty rock.

  • @louiscfc93 you would have lived through the best music decade in the last century... 80s ROCKS!

  • @louiscfc93 You spoke the words of truth. I agree. I hate this decade, I wish I was born back in the 50s so that I could experience all of the great hard rock and metal concerts of the 70s and 80s.

  • @louiscfc93 - The 80's were fucking killer, dude. But you know what, life is as good as you make it. If you want it good, make it good. If people aren't doing what you want to see or hear, then do it yourself. There will always be people out there who want to do it, too. That's what I do. Check out the band I'm in, maybe you'll dig us: w w w-dot-my space-dot-c o m / ebomb

  • Hey Dude, i grew up listening to Dokken and the like, you missed the 80's. They were the best of times. These days people just poke fun at the Likes of Dokken. Bands now dont even have half the musicianship of the likes of Lynch and the other guitarists of the day.

  • There was nothing better than the 80's - Dokken was totally underrated, but still managed a respectable level of fame ...

  • @Investrite1 completely agree mate!!...superb group...love this song..must play it one day......Lot of respect for George an amazing guitarist

  • first song I ever learned on bass..freakin awesome

  • Where did you get this? This is awesome. Classic video of a classic Dokken song.

A lot of people will disagree with me on this but as far as I'm concerned, Dokken blew doors over all the bands that came out of LA in the 80's. Even over the mighty Crue.

  • Yes. You're exactly right. I may have not been alive back then, but Dokken is by far the greatest 80's band ever.

  • Right on!

  • I so wish I was though.

The 80's has to be the greatest era for music.

Ha, but I was born in 94 ):

  • I agree with you so much!
