  • Beautiful...

  • hmmm its an alright film.

and for the people that don't get the ending :

    YOUR DUMBASSES! go watch transformers.

  • Very nice film, 5 stars.

  • It's based off the french novel "Le route de Chlifa" which literally means "The road to Chlifa" (Chlifa is a town in Lebanon) It's pretty popular in the francophone society..

  • huge let down....i was waiting for something to actually happen..and then it ended

  • ok why is the title in english but the video in some foreign language? Thats miss leading.

  • i dont even see a fucking road, dumbasses

  • terrible film. terrible country. I'd like to see more southern africa. the veldt.

  • here i was expecting to see some awesome road in a sweet car going fast. then i see jews/arabs/whatever. wtf man, WTF?

  • I think this was a well done short film. The cinematograpy was great and had a great story to it. Job well done!!

  • amazing

  • extremely well done. the camera work, the surroundings, people, architecture...i could go on forever. such a great story about a man who longed to know his father better, but to only meet up twenty years later, after his death and not to mention the war he spoke of.

something which brings up another saddened point. war...is bad for everyone. really...what would it take for everyone to work together as one and end all this?

  • atheism

  • this was a let down !!!!

  • he missed his dad but he barely remembered him. i think thats why he cried, it was right after he said he doesnt remember his face is when he went to cry. i think that was kind of a main thing, he didnt really remember him but hes still his father..

  • cpricejones à bien d'écrit ce que je pense de cette histoire... Bravo à toute l'équipe et aux acteurs!

  • Nique ta m?re

  • An odd little story. At first I wanted to turn it off but there was something that kept me watching - it is tender, full of truth and engaging.

  • Have to agree with cpricejones when I saw the kitchen part I wanted to turn it off but once they started to talk it kept bringing me in closer and closer nice movie I enjoyed it very much though I had issues loading it don't know if it was just me or someone else had the same problem I left it to load for like 10 minutes came back it was even quarter way done :/

  • to be honest, i was skeptical at the opening scene in the kitchen. i was surprised how it opened. but it quickly took me in, and i was eager to see how it all ended. the scene with the swimming was amazing. i was very pleased with it all, and i cant really find the right words to describe how well i was surprised.

  • Amazing how the simplest story touches one's heart

  • When we watch films like these shouldn't we all just step back for a moment and cast aside our petty differences once and for all and appreciate the fact that we're indeed ONE RACE

  • great story

  • awesome story-telling ... amazing movie ... on broader level I'd say art transcends cultures, languages as it finds way through the common thread amongst us all.

  • lmao its in arabic, good way to practice my arabic....lmao...

  • Very touching, i loved it.

  • I enjoyed it, I don't care if it's muslim, christian or whatever and don't see why that should matter, there's good and bad in everyone and we are all humans. I like the visual, I like the story, the mans dad has been dead for 20 years, he can't remember what he looks like properly, but still shed tears when he thought of the past where he used to swim as a child (memories) maybe he was astranged, but he still cared and wanted to move his fathers ashes to somewhere more sacred. Great Short Film!

  • I don't like lebanon

  • what a wonderful short movie, it's simply amazing stint. Lebanon is part of the holy land of both chritians & muslim.

  • THE images in this film are stunning!

  • for starters this movie is pr000ly amazing...secondly... im lebanese...and the country is spilt into christians and muslims...the country is based on beachs...and snowy mountains...and forests and beauty...its a really nice place to visit and live in trust me on this one ^^ even tho it went through stages of war and poverty its still one of the nicest countrys on my list :)

  • I found this film profound and remarkably made. I appreciated the simplicity and texture through out the the film, captures the a serene beauty, the language, and of the countryside.

  • There were some nice views of the Lebanese countryside but too bad the ancient cedars no longer exist.

  • I'm with memoz1991 scratching my head saying what was the message be hind this movie??????? I usually don't watch or like subtitle movies where u have to read everything they say but, this movie was pretty good except, the ending. i didn't like how they ended this movie. signed, newgirl.

  • Captures sentiments very well, that sentiment of sadness by the loss of someone so close. Interestingly, everyone he encounters is somehow responding or reflecting his strangely magnetic sad sentiment, especially the girl.

  • when it first started, i was about to switch and i saw arabic writing, i'm like hang on. watched the whole thing. It was good. it lacked materail, but it was good. Bad part was they weren't Muslim, arab not muslim? thats like turtule without a shell. But all in all good movie. Arabs rule. ight.

  • Many of the Lebanese people aren't Muslim. It is a secular country unlike some of its neighbors.

  • I don't understand this movie. And i don't know where to begin. At first, he is trying to find the cheapest way out of casket and what not. At the same time, he is dancing and drinking while he is back here for a purpose. And that whole picking up stranger part flew over my head. Also, he should have finished his sandwich before he went to pick up his fathers' remains. Where is the respect?

  • Once you have been in his shoes you'll understand. This movie is exactly about him, trying to effectively "sort out things" ending up hiding his tears in a pool.

This movie touched me so much ...

  • woow like itt

  • what's the message??? i really can't get it..

  • Happy All Souls Day!!!

  • Very Catholic movie in Arab Country; and has respect to the dead. AMEN
