I just reviewed the songs on "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" compilation CD (don't have it). It's pretty much the essential collection except "Overnight Angels" would have been the one piece missing for me. I'll look for the compilation, it looks great. Thanks for posting this. It gave me some flashbacks as in 1989 a good friend made an "Essential Ian" tape for me as I was a little ignorant about Ian. It blew me away and became my fav. He passed away 12 years ago and this song makes me think of him
Absolutely my favorite Ian Hunter song! Song originally released in 1979 on the "You're Never Alone With a Schizophrenic" (one of the best titles for an album, I think). This album, in my opinion, was his best (considering 3 of my top 4 Ian songs are on this one). You've got "Outsider" (2nd favorite), "when the Daylight Comes", "Bastard" and even the ballad-ish "Ships". "Cleveland Rocks" is on it as well. Classic album if you can find it.
