  • @Zooropa420 Then we'd see who's who.

  • @Zooropa420 huh?

  • @Zooropa420 What? huh?

  • @Zooropa420 You want people like Justin Bieber or Lady GaGa or wtf they listen to playing this epic song?

  • Still one of rock's most seminal songs; hasn't lost one iota of power since it was first recorded.

  • Elvis took that train, but this is the best version...if only he'd stayed faithful to Sam Philip's vision!

  • He was more than a king!

none will be bigger than Elvis

    elvis ever

  • my fav elvis song

  • TRAIN I RIDE...

  • 0:36 Elvis has seen SCANNERS ?

  • @MaxxMason...dude, if you were there, that'd put you in your late '60's/early '70's. People that old don't say "dude" or "BTW". I call bs.

  • the doors...

  • The corporate music industry ruined Elvis...

    I loved Elvis' early work...

    ... up until about 57 and 58.

The 60's were awful and the 70's were worse as far as I'm concerned.

    Poor guy.

  • @johnnycaboosehead very wrong the 60s he had some great songs

and the 70s man he sung some sensational tunes but its a matter of opinion

  • @johnnycaboosehead Elvis had 30 Top 40 Hits in the 60's......He also made 33 movies in the 60's.....doesn't sound too bad too me

  • LONG LIVE THE KING!!

  • Before Elvis there was nothing. John Lennon

  • You cannot dislike or 'hate' Elvis Presley. The ones who do or say they do are just idiots who do not know how to express how they feel.Elvis is classic rock n' roll, can sing anything and make it sound good, you just have to accept that, Rest In Peace,Elvis Presley.

  • There is a great cover of this song by The Doors watch?v=s_MMBPkSccs

  • look, be thankful for elvis. He has shapped the music we have today. even tho its shit & horrid, without him, all of the rest of the music throughout the late 50's, 60's,70's & 80's wouldnt have been what they wer

  • He was incredible.

  • THUMBS UP FOR MY USERNAME!!!

  • FANTASTIC !!!!!!!!!!

  • さてどこ行こうか。

(Posted by Youtube Stream for iPhone (yst.me) on behalf of ringo-tom@t.vodafone.ne.jp at twitter)

  • It's "Train I ride, sixteen coaches long."

  • @maximusspqr Thank you!

  • @Polyphemus47 No problem.....awesome song.

  • Elvis IS and ALWAYS will be the ultimate Entertainer. and Mystery Train with Scotty Moore at Guitar was a classic!!! NOBODY can imitate his "echo" of the train coming through the tunnel................ ROCK ON SCOTTY!

  • Take a listen around 2.16, Elvis having a laugh. Brill.

  • fucking stealer no wonder they named a football team after this fucking theif

  • My favourite early Elvis tune. Don't agree that 1970s wasn't worthy though. I used to think otherwise as I grew up on my parents 1950's 45's, but the guy was a tremendous performer with guitar or w/ a monster Vegas band.

  • Train I ride

    Sixteen coaches long

  • @willpn100 Fair point, thanks for the feedback, and yes, Bill deserves admiration and adulation, no doubt, Elvis mentioned more then once how he went to see Bill and Bill was an idol of a developing Elvis, history is FACT.. But sadly, Bill wasn't EYE CATCHING as a younger Elvis was, and Elvis was soave, moved exotically and sang differently to anyone. BB King has said many times how Elvis had own frasiology with lyrics that was unique, Rufus Thomas adored Elvis for this fact. Bill was a legend..

  • elvis could play that guitar too man

  • He was awesome in the 50's, spent too much time making movies in the 60's, then became a fat, bloated cliche in the Las Vegas 70's. He was a great entertainer, but not much of a songwriter or musician.

  • He was awesome in the 50's, spent too much time making movies in the 60's, then became a fat, bloated cliche in the Las Vegas 70's.

  • The king of kareoke!

  • this was in the outsiders-3

  • Love the Sun Years music - so sweet on the ears...

  • From France : is it "Train arrive" or "Train I ride" ? Thanks !

  • @CALZOLA Train arrive...

  • @fusejockey Thanks for your information ! However ,in all scores ( Chords lyrics Mystery Train ,on google) the lyrics are "Train I ride..." ,and that's what my french ears always heard ,lol !

  • King of Rock n Roll - long live Elvis :)

  • scotty moore - yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Elvis is mah nigga.

  • mitobom

  • People are quick to forget or ignorant to the fact this guy went through so much crapola for his music, whites HATED him, the rednecks anyway, he was FUSING black music/R&B/CW/Rock, 1950's Segregated America was 'Not Happy Jan' and he was a threat to Western Civilisation. That's the world this poor bloke had to endure, threats, angst and defamation. I mean they CENSORED him waiste up (like what the?) and then shipped him off to Germany for 2yrs!!! Nasty stuff, and his mum died during this period

  • @blueyisblue1 you an aussie? ;)

  • @katieee14ist 100% Dinky Dye Aussie, and a crazy Carlton fc fan, love the Blues, musically and Aussie Rules wise.... Elvis is King all over...

  • @blueyisblue1 haaaah knew it, can always tell :)

geelong fan, cats all the way. so so true, elvis will remain the king of rock n roll all over forever

  • @blueyisblue1 You clearly weren't even around then. You got it so screwed up. I was there, dude. Thanks for the uninformed rant anyway, but you need to talk to some people who were actually around before you spout off. BTW, over here where it all happened we say Mom.

  • @MaxxMason Sorry pal, when anyone needs HISTORY recited to them by an American you know the species as a whole is in trouble. 3/4 of your population think Australia is in Europe.. Anyway, think as you please sir, we speak Queens English and last i check English comes from England champ...So you guys need the English remedial classes knackers (knackers in Australia is buddy/pal/amigo) not we Aussies.. Not all you gave the world, obecity is another, besides a poor diet. Downunder Elvis has a tomb.

  • @blueyisblue1 Shipped him off to Germany? He was in the Military, it had nothing to do with who he was. And they censored him waist up because he did some... inappropriate things for television down there. I mean I love Elvis and some of what your saying is correct, but not that bit.

  • @soldierofjesus100 Are you serious? Elvis was in the Military?? NO, ELVIS AARON PRESLEY WAS NEVER EVER EVER I REPEAT NEVER IN THE MILITARY!!!! He was DRAFTED, i repeat DRAFTED into the Army as Drafting was still used to recruit servicemen. Drafting is against ONE's FREE WILL. I'm happy to be corrected if/when i err, on this you are WRONG. F.O.I documents even show how the Govt thought they could entice more enlistings while halting his influence.. They ARE the FACTS... Hence he was shipped off.

  • @soldierofjesus100 Also, while Drafted they (Govt) wanted him in the Entertaining arm (more propaganda to recruit more) and Elvis chose the hard road, patrol, posts etc in the freezing snow to show his comrades he was like them, even more reason to applaud the man. He could've cruised YET he battled and did what everyone else was, others were blown away by that... His Drafting killed him, as his mums death did, but as John Lennon said 'Elvis died in 1958 when they DRAFTED to Germany'. Cheers

  • THIS WAS IN THE OUTSIDERS!!! <333333333333333

  • y do i feel like robbing a bank when i listen to this???

  • @GhostOfTomJones1 cause ur robber.. at heart atleast! ;)

  • Elvis' best song by miles, great record!

  • One of my all-time favourite Elvis songs! I love Scotty Moore's guitar playing.

  • @NorthWriter - you cannot over estimate how important a guitarist scotty moore is in the rock pantheon - he's epic.

  • @ThePanzerfist44 Well Fucking Said!

  • I was PROUD to be JEALOUS of your voice and presence. I lived to see you and what you have done to show us the public your TALENT and Humanity. ALL lost to us now.

  • This is still the best rockabilly song ever made,No questions asked,Everything else is second to this !!

  • @miketheshanmanmangan agreed. baby let's play house by elvis and train kept a rollin' by johnny burnette are a close second though.

  • A great tribute. I love this song; the way he does it; so good.

  • Always The King xxx what slide package did you use ? FAB

  • Always The King xxx what slide package did you use ? FAB

  • 7 people should get pushed in front of a train

  • THE KING!!!! :-D

  • i heard this song being played while american contractors fire iraqi soldiers on a youtube video lol still cant hate this song!

  • a great song by a legend

  • How old is that? 55 years old? It is still smokin'.

  • Stop arguing about Haley and Presley, Haley started singing before Presley. Does that make him better? No, just that he sing R&R earlier! Why don't you comment on this song instead of wasting space?

  • The U.F.O. version is 10,000,000 times better just my opinion

  • In his last years Bill Haley would walk in restraunts in Beumont TX ,and ask strangers inside if they knew who he was, they would nodd no, he would just turn around and walk out without saying a word. You think Elvis would have got the same responce if he walk into the same joints. P.S. Bill Haley was not photo genic because he had a crooked eye while Elvis looked like a Greek God. any comments about my comment your all free to make them.

  • @rigoberto565 Bill was Bill, El was El! You're not me, I'm not you!

  • @rigoberto565 Talk about music!. Elvis was not a good musician, but a Top Model.

  • @willpn100 Elvis was likely not a great musician but could play guitar and piano well. Check out the 68

comeback special which featured Elvis on guitar for an extended segment.

  • he was one of them b4 elvis plp like chuck berry .little richard, blues artists he just brought it to mainstream good tune

  • elvis is so cool

    king of rock

  • Train train, comin' 'round, 'round the bend

Train train, comin' 'round the bend

Well it took my baby, but it never will again (no, not again)

  • thumbs up if u heard this off of "mystery train" :)

  • I've just listened to several other artists' renditions of "Mystery Train" and it's amazing how none can begin to touch Elvis Presley's version. I've written of its mystique, and on hearing it again I'm struck by Elvis' genius in how he handles the song's lyrics, the rhythmic release of the words, whether a word is stretched or broken, attacked with an edge or softened or slurred. When he sings the word "train" it's packed with loss, love, pain, anger & regret. And you feel it's personal.

  • @Port20dude I listen to this version and I can virtually feel the Tupelo sunshine on my back, see the cotton fields.....no other version can do that.

  • This man not only changed the US he changed the world. Look at his impact still after 34 years. Like John Lennon said before their was Elvis their was nothing. He is the best end of story end of discussion!

  • @chloedancer1965 all Elvis Presley did was play black music. "Sam Phillips, the founder of Sun Records, reputedly boasted that he would make a fortune if he could find a white singer who sounded black." I'm a white male, so you can't say I'm being racist. Elvis was a master of black musical styles, but he happened to be white and that's why he became so famous. Sorry, but the truth hurts doesn't it?

  • @chloedancer1965 for white people, maybe, 'cause they wouldn't listen to chuck berry!!! it took elvis AND john lennon to bring the music to pop culture.

  • @cheryldymond Black people loved him too, Chuck adored him, BB worshiped him and James Brown called him his Soul brother. Elvis was unique and a pioneer, they ALL admit as much. He was a great man because he afforded the Black man RESPECT in a time of ugly, ignorant and nasty racism. This Cat adored his African American brothers and always said they inspired him. Elvis was a Gift From God...As were many others, Elvis was just the SPARK the globe needed, RACE become a redundant word post ELVIS...

  • @blueyisblue1 Thx - Very well stated...Elvis Aaron Presley - cool as can be.

  • couldnt agree more mate. the reason elvis was the king of rock n roll is because his music was different to ther artists music back then his rock n roll moved you far better than other rock n roll. thats not taking anything away from other artists but its just stating the truth .

  • @chloedancer1965 Whilst Presley did change things a hell of a lot - influencing many artists, prominently The Who and The Beatles, The Beatles changed things more than Presley did.

  • @kingsofcarnage music its not a competition, theres no a hierarchy between the greatest artists .

At the end its just a matter of taste.

  • @KillingLies1 Well said :)

  • @kingsofcarnage Beatles were AWESOME, however Elvis was shipped off to Germany and upon his return thrust into the World of Formula Movies, or should i say Elvis Formula Movies. Beatles were EXPLODING everywhere, different set of motives, Beatles were FREE, Elvis was already a Prisoner of his own Formula. Don't for 1 second think i think lesser of Beatles, just that Elvis was 1 cat, didn't have John, Paul, Ringo or George to bounce ideas or chill with. Sadly, Elvis was ignorant, to trustworthy..

  • great song by the king nuff saib

  • THE OUTSIDERS (Y) JOHNNY AND PONYBOY <3

  • ☮ mystery song by this mystery train, adore this song for ever, thank you Elvis from Heaven ☮

  • Gracias por subirla!

  • LOVIN' THE YOUNG INFLUENCES OF ELVIS PRESLEY!!!

  • One of my all time Elvis favourites the guitar licks by Scotty Moore are great Elvis sounds like he really enjoyed singing this by his laugh at the end he sure changed music for the better

  • Everyone has their own opinion of who's "the best", I think when he arrived on the scene he changed the world of music and made rock and roll the dominant form of music, He was a force who shook up the staid world of Perry Como, Pat Boone and all the other safe singers of the day. "the best"....to each his own on that score.

  • @ willpn He's a singer not a song writer....like ray charles, Sinatra, Otis Redding etc. ..

  • @mountainat85 Sure. But like a singer he´s not the best at the point to be called "the king". Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra and Otis Redding are best than him.

  • His best stuff is definately from his Sun sessions......raw and wild!

  • @mountainat85 Just "covers". What kind of king is this?

  • Train I RIDE, sixteen coaches long (2X)

Well that long black train got my baby and gone...

  • Real Music!!!

  • Elvis was never a good guitar player, but in my opinion without his the feel he puts into his rhythm guitar playing some of these old songs would not be as good even though it's just a few chords.

  • Arthur Big Boy Crudup is the real king of rock and roll. Elvis just copied it. And done it bad.

  • @willpn100 Arthur WHO?

  • @VeranzaTheKing First you´ve said you know who Arthut is. Then you ask me who is Arthur? Are you ok?

  • @willpn100 Even heard about irony? I said I know him because you would say I'm ignorant because this guy wrote "That's All Right". But doesn't matters, since Elvis got sucess in all over the world and got more than 1 billion people watching his show live on TV. And almost nobody know who Arthur is, ok? That's why I said "WHO?". Now, do you get it? Do you understand what irony is now?

  • @VeranzaTheKingC´mon, if nobobdy knows who is Arthur Big Boy Crudup that´s because people in the 50´s had enormous prejudice ´bout negroes. Elvis and RCA were part of a capitalism economy. Arthur was part of a "underground" culture, that is more interesting to me. You demonstrate that yu don´t like unknown artist. I prefer the one that is a creator not a plagiarism.

  • @willpn100 Where did I demonstrate that? I just said Elvis is better, this is a fact. It isn't my fault if Arthur wasn't that famous. Usually, famous people are better than people who isn't (not beginners).

  • @VeranzaTheKing C´mon. Is Elvis better than Beethoven? Some people don´t know Beethoven´s seminal work of art.

  • @willpn100 Oh Oh Oh! Are you saying Beethoven isn't famous? I mean, WTH? You don't understand nothing somebody says... Beethoven was born some hundred years ago, ok? He's still famous and liked by WHO LIKES CLASSIC MUSIC. Some people don't know Beethoven because they just don't like classic music. Anyway, you can't compare a rock and roll singer to a classical music composer. Different styles.

Oh. And you can't say Elvis is bad, because you don't know nothing about Rock And Roll, ok?

  • @VeranzaTheKing C´mon. You know what I mean. I mean that Beethoven is the creator but he is not the most famous artist in the world. Who likes classic music? Dozen persons! It doesn´t matter. Good music isn´t made for everybody. Elvis records were recorded just for selling. And I just want to come down on a faker. I hate "covers" He´s the king of "cover versions". It´s a dirty shame!

  • @willpn100 Everything you do in YouTube is keep trolling in Elvis videos.

  • @VeranzaTheKing No, you´re wrong. I love expressing my opinion and only youtube gives me this opportunity. You´ve said that I don´t know anything about rock and roll? I think you´ve only know who is Elvis. Rock and roll is my favourite subject!.

Question nº 1: Who is the father of rock and roll?

Question nº 2: What´s the name of the first white rock and roller to perform at Apollo Theatre?

Question nº 3: Was Elvis the firs vocalist to record "That´s All right Mama/Mistery Train?

  • @willpn100 I don't give a f*cking cr*p about what you think you know. Elvis done it bad? Educate yourself. Elvis had one of the best voices of rock and roll singers. Look like you, big master of rock and roll, don't know almost nothing. And if you prefer underground culture, then you shouldn't like of Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis, Eddie Cocharn, The Beatles... And not all the black people was from "underground" culture. Even heard about CHUCK BERRY? BB King?

  • @willpn100 Just saying, I know who Arthur is,he wrote songs like "That's All Right". But, c'mon, educate yourself, if Elvis wasn't good he wouldn't get more than 1 billion people watching his show in Hawaii live on TV.

  • @Veranza Any show broadcasted all over the world is watched by billions of people. It´s a matter of marketing. C´mon, Maddona, Michael Jackson also get more than 2 billions people watching their shows.

  • @willpn100 Ok. But just the fact of Elvis have a show live on TV considerable.

  • @VeranzaTheKing Why you are so angry? We are discussing ´bout music! Don´t you exasperate. I am not the big master of rock but in my opinion, I find Roy Orbison (the best voice of rock and roll) and Gene Vincent better than Elvis. Don´t you agree with me? What do you think about Big Joe Turner´s (Shake, Rattle and Roll/Flip Flop and Fly)?. Elvis used to love his songs!

  • @willpn100 Now you're saying something bearable. If you think Roy Orbison and Gene Vicent better than Elvis, ok. Actually, Roy Orbison "introduced" me to Rock and Roll. But it isn't bearable to see somebody saying my preferred singer done it bad. And, lol, I wasn't angry.

  • Comment removed

  • @willpn100 The conversation ends here. It's so hard to talk to somebody stupid at the point to say that Elvis did not sing well. And don't come saying that's your opinion, no one gives a cr*p. And talking about opinion, you have to respect Elvis as everybody should have to respect each other, and someone could say you're crazy, because you just go in Elvis videos to keep trolling. You don't have a musical taste, the only taste you have on rock and roll is hate Elvis. That's what you demonstrate.

  • @VeranzaTheKing I didn´t know Elvis is your preferred singer. I´ve just hate "covers". Sorry if I´ve hurt you on our conversations.

  • @willpn100 Presley did more than simply cover a song. His Sun Session were reworkings of older songs from Hillbilly or Blues styles. Presley, Scotty Moore and Bill Black mixed these styles together and they called it Rockabilly. Compare the original Blue Moon of Kentucky with Elvis' Rockabilly version and it may as well be a completely different song. Do you not listen to Whitney Houstons version of "I will always love you'" just because its a cover of Dolly Partons country classic?

  • @rbound827 Bill Haley did the same before Elvis. In 1951, Bill Haley was the first to put the hit "Rocket 88" on the map, and become the first r&b song to be recorded in a "rock-a-billy" style. In 1953, he recorded "Crazy, Man Crazy, the first rock-a-billy song that reached pop charts. Elvis and his supporting band, did not invent anything, just copied black and hillbilly artists in his entire life. Nobody was saved by his attack!.

  • @willpn100 Whitney´s fans will always listen to her version. Fot those who like country classic, will always listen to Dolly´s version. That´s normal. Which one do you prefer? I prefer underground culture. So that I pefer the original version of "Blue Moon of Kentucky". Original ideas are the best!, like or not.

  • @willpn100 I'm sure I can list dozens of cover versions that are far superior than the original recordings from artists of every genre. To say only the original is better is ignorant. Many times if the songwriter is the one singing the song, you may have a case- but when it's too different artists doing a song written by an outside writer, then it's anyone's game.
