  • HXT900 is what i use for all my foamy builds.. motors i get from rc hot deals or hobbycity...if you bought FMS then it comes with a controller ( us the one that comes with it, so you dont use your batterys on yours. Grats on winning the EPP bullet plane from Foamfighters.

    GET OUT and FLY!!

    BruceM (BFOAMY)

  • The hobby king motor is slightly more powerful than the Graysonhobby one. I fly the extra 300 and found the only choice to actually be able to fly it straight up and do crazy manuvers is with a 11.1 lipo. It stalls eaisily with only a 7.4. With the hobbyking motor you might be able to get away with a 2 cell lipo.

  • I'm actually thinking about buying my motor and esc from lazertoyz (just search them on google to find their website.) RCtestflight just baught their bluewonder motor for a small 3d foamy and he says that it is really good. Plus lazertoyz is a US company so I will be able to get better service than from hobbycity. I will still probably buy my 3s 800mah bat and a charger and some servos from hobbycity though.

  • Good to hear yer using the flight sim. If you have any questions fell free to ask,

and there is lots of free info @ my newly updated website the link in on my utube page.

  • The combo sounds like it will work fine, 1000 mah 2 or 3 cell lipo is good. hobbypartz website has pretty cheap batteries

  • Oh and give the prop saver from Grayson Hobby a try, and the Dave Powers breakaway motor mount, great for beginners and EPP foamies.

  • 1000 mah will work

  • cool. lol ;-)
