and it's just me, but the european and the asian looks like very veeeery alike -puff, are the same-; there are some items which do show difference, it's glad to see sailor moon stuff is not different at all :D (which sometimes happens with the myth cloth of saint seiya

i know, right? maybe it's due to it being a very old item thus it aging and decreasing it's performance OR bandai didn't perfect it back then. i'm sure if they were to release an updated one, it should play it slower

doubt it. the way it was made, i would say it was made poorly. the locket is huge and the music box inside plays too fast.
