In retrospec, this is a good race. The mustang costs a good bit less and has a good bit less HP too. But you have to look at it this way, The Gt, while a nice model of mustang, isnt exactly a level playing field with the M3. The M3 is a top notch BMW car. Run it against a mach 1, or a Cobra. it would be different. Both are nice cars though.

I just bought 03 gt, always thought what you said about the 2v mustangs... i am actually surprised. They arent that bad, just the 96-98 2v were terrible but for what they are its not an ls1 with an under rated 305-340 hp. Its only 260 in a 3300lb car. 4.10s, exhaust and a tune with a good driver will run 13.50's

@dryan2 A guy at the track once was running 13.9s all day in his BMW Z3M (321hp) and I was running 13.6 -13.7 with traction problems (best is 13.5) in my 2007 Mustang auto and all I had was 4.10 gears and a tune, even the air filter was stock!!
When I offered to race this guy he refused! he wasn't apparently ready to get beat in his precious BMW by a cheap American Car!!
