Very nice. Is the accompaniment the MIDI from the Real Book software? I'm glad your issue was resolved. I would buy the software if it has quality midi files I can practice with, but I have no way of knowing.

I enjoy your playing. So much I'm thinking of getting myself a Hering Secial as I really like the tone. Do you customise the tuning of the Hering in any way or do you play the standard tuning?

Thank you. The harmonica is standard. The amplifier I use a bit of echo to beef up the sound. It really depends on the accoustic quality of the room that you are playing in. A hall or subway always sounds best.

Nevermind, didn´t read the description before posting my question, where it tells me everything.

I saw most of your videos by now, I really like the style how you play the harp, reminding me again that its not just about the technical theory, but mostly about the feeling and rythm put into the song. I´m quiet sure you wouldn´t actually need the background music to spread this feeling to the people around you.

you did well but i think you need to read your sheet music closer. listen to thius song sung by th greats and you will hear there are some notes you need to hold longer. it will have better rythm if you do . great job though I can t hardly play that fast on a harmonica. still learning the basics my self

Yes timing issues, I like using backing tracks but they sometimes limit expression.

When I play this song without the backing track I can extend certain phrasing and the effect is much more pleasing.

Wish I was in a band then we could play at our own speed!

I have just listened to August Rush/Moondance since your comment. It sounds really good.

I have been playing the chromatic harmonica these past 2 1/2 years and admit I have an awful lot to learn about music and the different styles of playing a song seem endless.

Backing music gives a melody harmony and provides forward propulsion but also can if fast inhibit individual style.
