  • Good rendition! Have a listen to my interpretation, I take it a bit faster. This is a very hypnotic performance, well done.

  • Thanks and sure... I'll need your email though!

  • Beautifully played.

  • if you havent yet, you must see the movie Izgnanie by Andrei Zvyagintsev where Arvo Part does the music. Trully a MASTERPIECE

  • the same than Maldoror123

  • nice. please have your piano tuned.

  • 1. Thanks

    2. Not my piano

    3. A lot of people have complained to the Conservatorium about the out of tune pianos

    4. Not much has been done

    5. Can do nothing else but wait

  • Lovely piece, lovely performance. (And lovely piano.)

  • love it ! But whats "tintinnumbuli style"?

  • Thanks. Well, basically, you have one melody line and one tintinabulum (bells) line. One goes in steps and the other outlines which ever chord it's in (either A minor, or etc.) In this case, it's B minor. Find it on wikipedia, they explain it heaps better than I can... xD

  • thanks! This helped a bit , I´m going to ask my piano teacher this afternoon !

Maybe he has the sheet music of this piece.. I would love to try it !

  • No worries :D

If your teacher doesn't have it, message me your email, I can send you a pdf I made.

  • can you send me pdf pleeeeeaaaassseeee!!!! =D ive been looking for this for ages.... thank you

  • such a wonderfull piece. you've played it well. to feel it like your critics said it takes a lifetime. don't let them discourage you and keep on playing. pärts music is one of the most difficult music to play accentuated. - eternal melody -

  • wonderful piece and good performance. just one little thing: I think the quart (c# + f#) towards the end of the song should be a little more accentuated for it is of such pureness. Nevertheless: thanks for sharing!

  • no . . .whats the word... feeling or emotion it's just like your playing as a chore...very robotic sticking to the script in a way,

as Arvo Part would say you have to make every blade of grass feel as important as the flower

  • What do you mean?

  • you play like it's just a bunch of notes on a page

it's hard to explain but i can tell your not enjoying yourself not REALLY hearing or feeling the piece.....if you get me

  • I see, oh well, maybe I just can't feel it.

I do remember I felt it, maybe you are hearing a different kinda playing.

Or maybe I'm just a crappy musician =P

  • Something in Arvo's music moves my soul.

It goes so deep. Thank you for sharing.

Such an emotional piece for me, I love it. :)

  • Never mind easy comments, Pärt music isn't the easiest to understand or to like... fedoo85 please watch your mouth when you talk about Arvo ok!?!?!

  • Sorry. I consider this very boring, I don't see anything special and great on this song. I don't doubt you are great player, I play piano too, but this song is just bunch of notes playing together without sense.

  • Without much sense is really a wrong way to describe it. Pärt's music is very meticulously arranged and it's often very mathematical.

But yeah, I guess this is not the kind of music you like.

P.S. this piece is really easy to play, I'm not a great pianist.

  • I understand that you don't appreciate this one, you might prefer Pärt's Te Deum or Silouans Song

  • Two voices that move together but never touch. Such a gorgeous piece...

I've not been a big fan of Arvo Part until recently. Very well done, man =)

  • Well done man! Boy I want a Bösendorfer!

  • Yeaah, me too! This isn't mine, lol.

  • arvo makes me want to play the piano again (i quit) :<

  • Aww, you should play aggain! :D

  • This was great.

  • So very beautiful

  • Your amazing dude! D:

  • lovely

  • nice playing and how do you find the movie "finding rintintin the adventure continues"

  • Tintinnumbuli? How about 'a glorified b-minor arpeggio'?

  • Sigh.

  • Beautifully played. :O

  • Ah thanks! :D I love Pärt too.

I think I didn't keep the sheets, but I guess I can make them again for you. It's easy... lol

  • if you dont mind i would also like a copy of the music

    =]

    its sooo beautiful

nice playing by the way! =]

  • OMG That almost made me cry. Gorgeous. Can you send me sheets? I would love to learn it.

  • Yay, that's awesome! Hmm I guess I can. I'll make a neat version. The one I had there is actually just handwritten XD

  • very cool. 5*

  • *jaw drop*

  • pling plong pling plong =D

But really. That's some very beautiful plingplonging

  • aww min elskede T_T thanks!

  • Wow, that was cool! Pling plong =P

Not that bad thoug, really cool piano style! IT's like movie soundtracks ^^

  • Oh my goodness Steve...

I swear to god - that made me cry.

    Seriously. It's so beautifully played.

Especially if you're using headphones like I did so you only hear your playing...

    Dang it Steve...

  • Yay, I'll record it properly in a studio during the break... XD i'll ask my friend to record it for me =P

Thanks Gaspoo T_T ich liebe dich xD

  • what is the tintinnumbuli style?

    what is it composed of?

I'm lost when talking about piano styles.

Great job BTW! 5/5 Mr. Tanoto

  • Ah, that's the bells thing... U hear, my right hand plays the melody, while the left hand plays only the notes from B minor chord? That's the stlye. There are two main voices, the Melody voice and the Tintin thing voice...XD
