i've always said hybrid exos FTW because you get mroe variety in your fights...never was a fan of the melee brutes...but now i'm thinking that an all magic exorcist is going to pwn as well. i'm gonna have to make one on the side of my hybrid :D
@Brandontrann I'm not an expert on Exos by any means(I have no experience with hybrid or physical, and my magic exo is only 28 in Arado), but I think it's better to go either pure Phy or pure Magic post patch. It's up to you though, pretty much anything works really.
I personally prefer Magic though, mainly just for aesthetic reasons(Coldness Chakra being blue being the main thing).

Yes, there should be a free skill reset for at least Priests(I don't think anyone else gets a reset, just sp refunds for the skills that are made free after the patch). I don't think any skills were removed, but there were a few added(just going over Magic here).
Enter Nirvana replaces Holy Amulet. It keeps the 2 second c/d, and is just as strong(just spread out over 5 hits rather than 2). It also gets a cancel at level 26, and you can choose how far it goes by holding down the skill key.
There's also Circle of Ascension at level 20(that also gets a cancel, shown at about :18), Cutting Darkness at level 25(Uncharged, it's just a fast, close ranged swing. It can be charged to send out the crescent shaped blade to hit a 2nd time and push enemies away. Shown right after Circle of Ascension), and Legion of Shikigami at level 45, shown at 1:45).
A few physical attacks were added, as were masteries for Battle Axe and Scythe.
@Xaqiri thanks and yea ive watched alot of dnf vids of mage exos to try to differenciate between the skills or how they have changed and i get most of them except the magic accession which i cant seem to make sense of its used in same place as lightning and supression amulet in this vid and other which means it does something to mobs not to the player but i cant find a descrip for it im guessing just like md down and also i notice he has a constant black ring around him maybe cold chakra changed
@karasjet Circle of Ascension is an attack that launches enemies. At the higher levels it launches them really high(233.3% launch strength vs. Giant Weapon Launcher's 147.4%).
Passion and Coldness Chakra both had their appearances changed, yea.
@JayMasquerade Magic exorcists are rarely played in Korea, and DFO doesn't have the priest patch yet. Either way, there's always a lot more physical exos than magic ones.
@JayMasquerade phys exorcist have insane amount of delay between skills and the super armor buff from majority of their skills give them a huge adventage in both pvp and pve and their sinergy is insanely good so people choose phys over magic
@DimglowRL You don't have to mash, and the damage is consistently ticked anywhere in the AoE rather than actually getting hit by the birds individually. Can't remember the number of hits it does.

White Tiger skill I believe, you set up one it gives a buff normally, but when you setup 2 or more they pass an orb back and forth for damage (think they keep giving out buffs to allies though) if used with strategy its pretty effectice
Just a couple questions as I'm starting up a Magic Exorcist right now. What kind of level do you take your Circle of Ascension to? Also, what does Scythe Mastery do and would that make a scythe the better "optimal" choice?
Ehhh... I'd say physical exorcist is better in pvp then magic exorcist.
Magic exorcist is more like a defense type, where physical exorcist is up on other people's faces, their attack is more like a trap and you just hope them to run into them.
A lot of people don't know this about Gunners but, you have to use your mouse. It's not just pressing the shoot button, or whatever. You have to click where you want to shoot at.
