FDR put too many band aids on everything. Even when we were going through the Depression and don't forget the Dirty 30s, my Father found Alcohol, a bucket of beer wasn't too expensive. I was 3 years old when was repealed.

The really funny thing about Prohibition is that, while it banned the production, sale, transport, and storage of alcoholic drinks, it did not outlaw their consumption. So if you went to Canada or Mexico and got yourself a crate load of liquor, if you drank them all and all the cops found were empty bottles, they couldn't do anything to you.

this video is interesting. one of my teachers told us about this issue. in some cities in florida years ago alcohol wasnt allowed.
