Actually I love the original ST films (1-6, 6 undoubtedly and fittingly the best), ST-TNG (series was awesome, the films sadly sucked), DS9, Voyager. Was never into Babylon 5 though. Kirk is an awesomely inspirational pioneer (albeit purportedly abusive to now-disgruntled cast members, excepting spock and mccoy) who elevated the sci-fi genre from alien-shooting drivel to meaningful & thought-provoking cinematic opi. Respect the Kirk, a god among fictional men.
