oh and btw horses cant climb scaling ladders... and scaling ladders are the most effective way of breaching the enemy's wall. though malificent kites can be used with horses... its a waste of production and a waste of number of units. :D

LOL guys horses are a total waste.

1) You have to breed them, and that costs something. I know free horses are there on the map, but you cant get free horses for all your troops, coz those many of them dont exist.

2) After sometime, you'll notice you cant recruit anymore units, as the maximum number of units is reached. these units include horses; so a horse is counted as one unit. if you remove all the horses, you can get those many extra soldiers, which is more effective.

When I invade cities , I always use one tactic . Use a one or two scaling ladders , one on left and one on right . Let swordsmen ( about 5 ) and pikemen ( about 10) go onto the ramparts , and draw the enemies to the gate . As the gates automatically open when one's soldiers and near it , generals , war machines and your main forces can rush in and break their defence . After that make sure everyone sticks together and your victory is guranteed .

I know a good defence tactic: Choose crossbowmen/archers and make them go to the tower/or door/ or whatever its called. The locked thing. Make them go inside and they will attack enemies without being attacked :p

you should have leak in and surround him more effective in killing plus you can use ladders to charge in and kill instead of waiting for death outside the walls

There is an expansion pack for this game, it called Dragon Throne. Message me if u want the full version of the expansion pack (doesn't required the original one to play). I recommend it because it have new unit, building, mission, etc.

@KraZKaiL u haven't play the original yet? there is a new building in dragon throne that if u send in a swordsman it become a guy with two Axe, if u send in a pikeman it become Golden Pikeman that have a shield, if u send in archer it become a crossbowmen. So pretty much its like an upgrade version of the original unit. Dragon Throne have new environment of snow, rain, and nightfall. Also u can occupied any unit in the gate (23 max) and they still shoot arrow. There is new type of hero unit too.

the most effective tactic is to obtain a group of generals en train them so their ranks are minimal 2. Now they kan use magic for Strenght and can survive behind the walls if you use that magic. With all their power united in battle they are undefeatable

Have you ever Play Dynasty Warriors or Romance of the Three Kingdoms from Koei? Those game are cool, I wish this game (the one you're playing) could get a remake, maybe Eido can team up with Koei and probably do it for the 360 and PS3 and add a easter egg from Dynasty Warriors.
