are u using any noise gate pedal or something ? i bought the sd-1 and i have the same amplifier and when i crank up the overdrive the noise is too fucking annoying you cant almost hear no sound from the guitar!
@JttM199 I use a Boss Sd-1 Super Overdrive. Any will work though. Some cheap ones Id reccomendof the SD-1, and the Digitech Bad Monkey. If you dont mind spending some cash, the maxon808 and Ibanez TS9 are the best IMO

@zzseba Well in this video, this is about the highest amount of gain you can get from the VOX. Im even running a BOSS Overdrive infront. And this thing is literally a boom box, bass city. If youre using it for metal, an EQ in the loop is a MUST.

Vox isnt known for their distortion, they are known for their pristine clean tones, which is why I got it, because their is so much head room in the clean channel with the right pedals you can shape your sound however you want. With a good distortion pedal and eq the distortion thru this amp can be amazing.

To be realist if this amp had a great distortion from metal to punk style it would be "the perfect amp!" jejej, a decent distortion pedal cost 250 USD.

The high gain sounds VERY good, and clean sounds great. Not to mention it has built in effects, distortion pedals, a looper, and is very affordable. I own a solid state version, but the tube 100w combo sounds incredible.
