I can't quite tell what the bases are made of, and how the wire is affixed... how did you do that? Thanks!

thanks- it really is a great project to do with kids. really gets them to think about sculpture-something they rarely (if ever) do.

This was absolutely amazing! The armatures could stand by themselves - so airy, so light, so delightful! But the finished product... amazing.
