This odd object appearing in the sky every 90 minutes would be somewhat of a giveaway, wouldn't you think? Apollo didn't appear in the sky every 90 minutes after it performed a >5 minute TLI burn (visible from numerous locations on Earth), so where did it go? Perhaps NASA borrowed a Klingon cloaking device, eh?

As I said, the 5 and half minute TLI burn was observed from Earth.... and to disappear into the abyss of space it would need to have achieved a lot higher delta-V than the 3km/s provided by that burn. So... How did it manage to achieve enough velocity to leave Earth orbit completely? You don't have a clue about orbital mechanics, do you?
