@QSKTACTICS Were you human when you went into that cave and fought that golden golem? After that, you have to talk with the npc and summon her again when you go to the edge of the lake where you fought the hydra. Then you can buy her spells.

@QSKTACTICS Bring along a divine weapon and wait for the three smaller skeletons to rush at you. Kill them, and wait for nito to come into range, then start fighting him. Bring plenty of blooming moss.

In order to cast the spell Cast Light, I thought it was a miracle spell so a talisman is required to cast it but I was wrong. What do you need to have equipped in order to cast the spell? Any feedback is much appreciated, thanks guys.

@ghori7861 I think you have to save the NPC in the Darkroot Basin in the zone near of the hydra, she sells nice spells like hidden body and i think she sell cast light too.

how do you get to the area where you fight the hydra? I'm not even going to try to get the lamp, no way I'm going down there w/o cast light

@Supahx Go to Andre, past the Demonite mob, then into Darkroot Garden.

After the first tree mob, hug the right wall, you should meet a U turn. It leads to a series of paths heading downwards. Keep following it down and you'll reach the Hydra.

Or you can go down the tower with Havel in it. It's right before the Minotaur boss, I believe.

Or you could use Sunlight Maggot instead of Cast Light.

I got through this without using Light Attuned.

What you want to do is inch your way a little bit at a time and learn where the enemies are by looking for the yellow lights of their eyes. Once you meet the only guy there (the area overlooking three bodies to pillage), you can jump down (or talk to him, say yes, and get thrown down anyway. Whatever works for you.) and one of the bodies has a lantern which you can use as your secondary shield. (Switch between shield and light at will.)

@SnakeVash Or you could, you know, just tell Patches you are NOT a cleric. At least then he's less of an ass. Besides, Attunement slots are easy to get if you get them early on. At 19 attunementm, you can have 3-4 attunment slots easy.

No, there's a better way, just get the sunlight maggot from lost izalith. It's a helmet which lights up the area and you won't have to waste points getting the spell.

go back to the place where you killed Hydra in Darkroot Basin

Golden Golem should appear there (only after you beat Hydra) , kill that golem and the NPC will come out , she'll disappear after you talk to her , then she'll left her soul sign on the ground near that place (on shore) summon her and she'll teach you some sorceries , one of them is Cast Light.

You can only warp to specific bonfires. Like Firelink Shrine, Anor Londo, the Abyss and any bonfires that are next to any covenants like the Stone Dragon, Chamber of the Princess, Chaos covenant, etc...
