  • viet nam is number one!

viet nam freed cambodia of the red khmer so khmer people be thankfull to the vietnamese! look at viet nam you can learn very much from vn if you want your country to become as succesfull as VN is.

  • thank you vn. we have have a lot of bullets ready to thank you. come and get it!

  • It look like new nation just born in this world not like Khmer ethnic, clothes, dancing and character of artist..The 1 thing that can be show Khmer pride is pagoda. One nationality can not develop faster without preserve the original.

  • Is she a professional singer and is she vietnamese or she from Soc Trang. She sound so sweet. I wish she sing the same song for Travinh also.

  • lol, please check your spelling before you post. You're doing a fine job at embarassing yourself and it has nothing to do with this video.

  • this is crazy. Why are there so much hate on one utube video? This is a good song that celebrate the unique area of Soc Trang... and lets leave it as such.

  • Hey guys, I know that this video does not portray Khmer Culture. But hey Please don't disses the whole Viet Nam as a whole, because Viet Nam has 54 Ethnics group (The video is sang by a Kinh ethnic lady. I am from the Champa ethnic and I agree the Kinh Ethnic originated from Souther China and looks Chinese a bit. My Champa Ethnic looks more Indonesian Malay and Philippines rather then Kinh. Uhm Yes the Kinh ethnic only hangs out with their own kind because other Ethnic types are dark etc.

  • those aren't khmer clothes. if you watch khmer karaoke on youtube you'll see what real khmer dance looks like and how we dress.

  • and please google: NANCY NGUYEN KILLED

she was killed by her cambo boyfriend...

  • @goofylookingviets

google goofylookingviets got hit by a truck yesterday.

  • these ppl who film themselves mocking vietnamese on youtube film themselves and arent even ashamed of doing it...they look down on viets so much that they dont even fear retaliation from viets in their hometown who might recognize them....

btw...just GOOGLE: 2 Indian Girls Speaking VIetnamese....LOL you see what i mean? they arent even ashamed of doing this type of stuff

  • btw, viets are like the chinks of southeast asia...their culture isnt as exotic look as other SEA cultures...LOL viets are basically southern chinese rejects...LOL

and viets probably cry all day long when they see all these nail salon prank calls...calling viet gook women and harassing them...or comedians making fun of vietnamese ppl's accents...LOL

think about it, these ppl film themselves on camera and post it on youtube so the whole world can laugh WITH them...LOL

  • my parents have viet friends and we would invite them to the house from time to time, they would bring their kids/nieces/nephews and these kids are usually around 5-10 years old and they look dorky and fobby as hell...LOL viet kids usually have the chillibowl haircuts where the bangs is combed straight down and OMG their funny looking...and they only spoke viet to eachother...i would ask them if they wanted anything to eat or drink...but i'm not sure they even understand english.

  • i've been around the viet community and i noticed theres a high percentage of fobs/fob looking viets... i even see viet fobs who are young as 5-10 years old...i look at these fobby viet kids with the chilli bowl haircuts, nerdy clothes, sandals and think to myself," why are they so fob looking...werent they born here?" i see these fobby viet kids at asian or even american markets and they're talking at the top of their lungs in viet while everyone is staring at them

  • i would also see khmer kids picking and laughing at vietnamese kids sometimes...u know a khmer kid would go up to a viets while they were speaking viet and say "ching chong" or i' would even see khmer girls pick on viet girls...the khmer kids were more outgoing and hung out with other races... so i guess this why viets are so mad...now these viet nerds are getting revenge via youtube...LOL

  • i'm actually being serious when i say this but i honestly have never seen vietnamese ppl talk shit before to khmers or any other race until i first joined youtube. LOL i went to school with many viets/khmers and the viet kids were usually clannish and only hung out with their own race...they rarely socialized or interacted with other races....they always spoke viet to eachother in the hallways and cafeteria while other races stared and laughed at them LOL

  • staceng you khmer monkey, dont talk to your master like that

  • staceng, what did u say u dark cambodian monkey

  • such disgrace! why is she singing songs about monkey

  • Comment removed

  • stupid idio. you viets made a video about khmer culture and dare to talk sh!t about it. how low....

  • Ok People This Has nothing to do with Khmer . Im Khmer myself we definitely do not dance like that. Khmer Dance is more Beautiful and elegant

  • Who says this song is about Khmer People? There's no need to talk about authenticity of the dance because it's not the focus here. At the very least the Vietnamese lady in this video is much more beautiful than most of Khmer women.

  • To the Khmers that complain the dance in this isn't real Khmer dance, well this is like a "Vietnamized" version of Khmer dance. The song isn't about Khmer people specifically. It's about the province Sóc Trăng of VN, which happens to have a large Khmer Krom population, so the song features Khmer clothes and dance. But keep in mind that the song isn't about Khmer Krom, it's about the province Soc Trang. :D

  • There are Viet and Chinese living in Soc Trang as well as the Khmer Krom, so it's no problem to see a combination of Viet and Khmer in this song. :D Viet dance focuses on movements of the body, Khmer/Thai dance focuses on the movements of the hands and feet. The dance in this song takes the middle stand. ^_^ Clothes are Khmer but the singers and dancers are Viet. The lyrics of the song is in Vietnamese but contains Khmer words. It's a mixture of Vietnamese and Khmer.

  • TP HCM = Tội Phạm Hồ Chí Minh

  • What is sok sabay and tov na Bong mean?

  • In Cambodian it means "How are you? and Where are you going Bong (her love interest)"

  • this song is about the Province Soc trang in vietnam...it does not belong to Cambodia so the dance is not supposed to look like true Cambodian dance by the way...the meaning of the song is more important than the dance...

  • they look like monkeys swaying their arms and legs

  • i thought the dancing was gay. they should of had real cambodian dancers.

  • this is a very poor production. the producer should hire me as a consultant. this is not event 50% Cambodian dance. thanks for trying.

  • what a nice song!!!!

  • bong tov rok srey sros ;)

  • ôi, sao mấy anh chị "bình luận" cho thí sinh này toàn là tiếng "Mĩ" không vậy?

  • hehe chac tai wen roi

  • i'm curious. why are they using khmer words? someone tell me!

  • there is a village called "soc trang" and they have khmai krom there.. and she has some friends and that's what they usually say.. so that's why she only used some khmai words.

  • is this the khmer krom?

  • i noe! cause nEone tell me the lyrics for the song.....specially the khmer part..sounds nice:D

  • A lot of Vietnamese people I know don't like Khmer people. I LOVE to see other cultures appreciating others.

    <3

  • that is totally untruth...i am viet yet my best friend is kmer...sometime i think it is the other way around because of the longer ago history ...sometime it is hard for me to convince him that Viets now a day dont have that view anymore base on history...yet he believe we still do...we still friend

  • I understand, I said this because of the circle of friends that I personally know. Other people have different perspectives and experiences.

  • it depends really. i know this viet lady, her son's girlfriend is khmer. and it seems she picks on her. like she told my mom she's lazy and unfaithful. she probably dislikes khmer. ever since she knew my mom was khmer she seem to act differently toward my mom.

  • i can't understand YUN, but the song is good, she hot for an old lady...

  • The Khmer words in many Viet songs I have ever heard are only " hello, how are you and where are you going?".

  • thanh ngan..the best!!!!

  • i would say its a pretty good mix of khmer and viet. She does a pretty good job of sayin "sok sabay" and "tov na Bong er" too. thanks for uploading.

  • also one more thing they stole that song from the khmers lol.

i know this song. just in khmer. i just know but the instruments.

  • how do you know im khmer?

  • Hmm very interesting. Very good mix of Viet and Khmer music. She said "shoc sha bai" LOL and i also hear "tov na bong ay" -where are you going darling. It's good to see this vedio embrassing Khmer culture in Vietnam.

  • wat the lyric 2 this. i just wanted know so that i can sing along wit chi thanh ngan.

  • Thanh Ngan sings this song quite great. And she looks really beautiful too. Thanks!

  • to be honest i didnt know that thanh ngan sing this song before until now....i just thought that nha thanh was the only one that sing this song now i know thanh sing this also

  • i have this son in my mp3 player, but instead binh tinh is singing.
