@WackyMcSnazzypants Thanks yo! I am honored to be the soundtrack to your art! I have a lot of respect for the art of skateboarding - especially the people who craft the boards themselves. I haven't skated in many years...when I got serious about music I decided maybe I better stay away from stuff that could pose a risk to my limbs or fingers ;) Peace!
Thanks a lot! This song is from my album "Pandemic", which I'm going to re-master and have available very soon on my website...along with some other projects from "back in the day". Stay tuned...Peace! MB
I've been a vocalist for 35 years and I just love your style. If you ever want a singer, I'm your gal! Only one snag, I live in Cyprus!! Keep up the great work.
Moot dude, you are simply genious!! ive listened to a few songs of you today and i think it's just amazing. the way you play the guitar and keys and drums and etc... i'm starting with the popacademy in holland this year, and i'm realy wondering if i'm gonna be able to make enough money out of this bussines. but one thing is for sure, if i can do all the amazing stuff you can do i would be totaly happy even if i'm broke :P.
keep the good work up dude, you realy are one of a kind ;)
Although this one rocks too, I much prefer many of the other things you've done MooT! Seriously, I have no idea how your career is going (if it's even in the music field) but DAMN you know your way around your instruments and audio equipment. This one kinda gave me a "labyrinth" vibe about midway through, lol. Nice to remember old times. Keep em comin', and as always, great work!
Hey thanks! This track is 100% Roland SH-3 synthesizer run through a Realistic preamp from the 70's (mad distortion!) until the big beat comes in halfway through, after the big Space Echo buildup, which was done in Reason.
The rhythmic stuff at the beginning of the tune is two loops of me playing filtered white noise, with contrasting rhythms. Too bad Youtube audio is only mono...it's a whole 'nother thing in stereo! But thanks for the compliments! peace, MB
yeah, i take it back there is nothing wrong with the beat. I am just so used to putting music into categories by their beats i.e. drum and bass, break beat & so on, but your songs are unique, i can't really put my finger on what they are??
Shoot, well I guess in a way that's good! I don't know what to call it either LOL...there's a stereo snippet of this song on my website - it's really a lot better in stereo.
Good video, I've never had something chalenge me visually so much in my life, Watching this at night in a dark room, RAD, Its a good thing I'm not epileptic couse I love it!
normally I'm not really a fan of straight up electronic music, but you rocked my socks off with this one dude. I dig the funk, kind of jazzy element, proper execution.
I read on your website that this was made on a Roland SH3. I'm impressed how great and cool it sounds! My first synth was a SH3, but it never sounded that great when I played it. Suppose the lack of SpaceEcho and (more likely) your musical talent is what makes the difference. I wish I still had mine, though it was hard to keep in tune and the keyboard in scale, it has some nice features, mainly the additive oscillator design, not found in other synths.
Thanks much! Yeah, I love that SH3! I'll tell you what the real secret of this sound is though: it's an old Realistic preamp which yields NASTY distortion! A lot of those sick sounds that people want from things like the Agonizer can be obtained by using impedance mismatches and feedback loops!
Thanks man! Although, it's been like 3 years since I've tripped on anything. The memories are there, if I need them. Otherwise, I'm clean these days....but this is quite a trip movie indeed! You should see it in higher resolution!! I may do a DVD one day soon.
Awesome music composition! I love the sound you went for - they just don't make them like that anymore. Enjoyed the light show too - nice and trippy! It fit the music well. Keep up the great work. :-)
Trippy video! I really like the motion that comes toward you like an alien ship enveloping you then retreating. I also like your choice of colours. Look for the face! It's a guy in a sweater with a white collar.
Why is there no repeat button :\
I'm designing a board for me and my friend's small skateshop.
This song is perfect for the design I'm working on, psychedelic, grungy, and oh so funky. Love your stuff moot :D
