you say your 21 and want 2 talk crap about what Pete is wearing? Im sure at the time, Pete was in fashion like he still is these days with what he is wearing to date! Don't Hate!
No No you misunterstand me.. i really love Pete Burns since his Nightmares in Wax days till DOA,, i love all his eras but in this particular video his dance and his costume didn't made it well for him,, hey ,,even great and TRUE ARTIST as Pete can lose one day ;D love and respect from Mexxico!!

Maaan this video is tacky! Japanese dorks and subtexts and all! But full points for the song - Pete has such a good voice and I loved the album "Mad, Bad and Dangerous" and so did my friends - brings back a lot of memories... makes me feel v. nostalgic! The energy on this song reminds me of the energy me and my pals had when teenagers... I remember I loved the aggressive element of this song and how I learned a new phrase in English: Son of a gun - still seems such a weird euphemism!
They do sort of sound past ther best work and scraping the bottom of the dregs here. Isn't it a pity...rather lumpen and they should have called it a day. BUT there was Sex Drive and Hit and Run Lover. Maybe Pete should have gone solo sooner....
Interesting to finally see the videos. Thats definitly something I was not expecting to see. Who the hell cares! It's good music. If you like this sound, try on bands like, Celebrate The Nun, Kon Kan, Information Society, Pet Shop Boys, Erasure, New Order, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Real Life, Depeche Mode, Belouis Some, The Human League, Peter Schilling, Electronic, Joy Division, The Smiths, INXS, Yazoo (Yazz), Book Of Love, Anything Box, Red Flag, Camouflage, When In Rome,Duran Duran,Hurricane
One of their last great songs before they started to go right down the tube. Even here, though, they are beginning to look faintly ridiculous with that numpty dancer and Pete flailing about all over the place. No wonder Tim and Mike left soon after.
I love DoA music, but I can't stand to watch their videos. Nice to have a copy of this song, though, as my copy of Mad, Bad and Dangerous to Know is broken.
Me encanta Pete Burns pero que raro se ve en este video, no se parece mucho a el mismo...muy oscuro el lugar, casi no se le ve la cara... esperaba algo mejor para esta cancion!
wow, wow, ive always wanted to this song performed other than in the rip it up vid, this is so unreal, awesome thankyou for adding it,petes hot as in this, are the japanese adding to subtitles while he sings? anyway , most cool video ur lucky to have it.
ce titre est tiré de l'album "mad, bad, and dangerous to know" sorti en 1986. ce titre n'est sorti en single qu'auc Japon. les membres du groupe que l'on voit son ceux d'origine (sauf le danceur à gauche de Pete Burns).
Mattercat nailed it. This appearance was during the "Rip It Up-Live" tour which I own. There were 2 dancers but Pete makes a big deal about it being James' birthday the night of the concert and dedicates SOAG to him. I hope he got sum!
Pete leers at his 'backing singer' all the way through 'Rip It Up' & even taunts the other poor lesser dancer chap (even though 'lesser' had an equally buff bod & sexy hair. Unlike this twat). I bet he was fucking the poor monkey in this video. Well I have to say, underneath Pete's ridiculous hair/make-up/outfit, he WAS a fine figure of a man. Look what a fucking mess he's made of himself now. And not ALL by choice. Well, atleast he had it good when he was 'Big in Japan' (and nowhere else)...
I totally love DOA. They are one of my favs from the 80's. I have never been too sure of the lineup either way, but I do recognize all the guys except for the silly backup dancer. Thanks for the info!
Sah-wheet. Love these guys. Of course, if homeboy playing the headless bass had a guitar in his hand, it would have looked a little less fake since the bass part is clearly played using a keyboard and there are elements of electric guitar in that song.
...Were there ever that many guys in DOA? I don't recognize dude singing backup. Maybe he was Pete's trick-o-the-week and as a prize got to be in the video.
Either way, this is awesome. Does anyone have any videos from "Youthquake?"
is pete burns gay
