  • I am 45....love and peace to all...Texas

  • I am 45....love and peace be with you all, from Edmonton Alberta

  • Words can never accurately represent how truly amazing this song is. One of my favorites.

  • @xGamexxTrailersxx Make sure to mention your age when you comment on videos like this, xGamexxTrailersxx. Us middle-agers love it when the younger generations enjoy our music. :)

  • @redwoodowl I am 44 going to be 45 on 1/26/12 and yemember this to well!! I Love you Margret Francisis!! 1982!!!!

  • @lostin1982 Good to hear. I'm 41 and this song will always remind me of Ernie, the big brother I never had who tragically lost his life in 1982 at age 18. It was playing on the radio when I heard of his death and thus became part of the soundtrack of my life.

Lots of love and good vibes from NE Ohio (USA).

  • that crazy music!!!!

  • sounds like dropping acid music

  • Pink floyd's soul!

  • Wonderful like a rainbow...

  • Awesome better then the recording

  • chuck norris is ugly as hell

  • beatiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Eric Woolfson is the soul of this song

  • A little trivia about Alan Parsons Project....they were the engineers on a little album called Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd.

  • @Sveldtguy A little reality check, Alan Parsons was AN engineer on Dark Side of the Moon. His group, Alan Parsons Project, did not form for several years after Dark Side of the Moon came out. These other members did not work on Dark Side of the Moon.

  • a great time for brilliant muscians, im glad i got to got through it!

  • time wasted its a shame.

  • I knew the relation between Alan Parsons and Pink Floyd, but you don't realize how close they sound until you listen to them both live

  • Yes people now DON"T know what music is. It's a great tragedy. Ask Carlos Santana.

  • @dwcrabtree I did ask Carlos Santana, and he told me tell you to go FUCK yourself.

  • Time and "Us and them" on Dark Side Of The Moon sounds similar :) Alan Parson is wonderful :)

  • May Perry live in the kingdom of God. Until we meet again, R.I.P.

  • COMO AMO ESSA MÚSICA ...TEMPOS BOM AQUELES

  • A beautiful song of reminicing. Perfect song to sit and evaluate your life and what you've done since birth. Makes you think about your past experiences in relationships, education, work, friends, family and things you wished you could've done, if you were given a little more time to do it. Any regrets?

  • If you listen very DSOM this summer song

  • So this was this great talented guy Mr. Woolfson, Eric; "Rest in Peace"

  • @SkyHits2010 not in the video here its chris thompson doing vocals eric of course wrote time alan was thinking of using john miles for time but eric had a desire to be a major vocal part of app and as it turned out eric was right he sang most of the hits apart from lenny i so admiree this group

  • @azzorroww Okay thanks man for informing or telling me little more than I knew about the "Project" :) Like that you say that John Miles (Tina Turners Live Band Leader)

  • Man, now this is the kinda music you listen to...at around 4:20. =P

  • french, don't understanding each word but feeling so good listening to it

  • this song makes me sad.great song.

  • @610joshua IT IS awesome, I feel that too man, little sad

  • Genio Eric Woolfson para siempre....

  • This song is phenomenal and has a very distinct image for the band "the Alan Parsons Project" The music was well played and the lyrics well sung

  • @ ComatoseCA

I totally agree with you...and when I think about it, we were spoiled back then with awesome quality music! Look what the youth of today can look back on in thirty years...crap!

  • @greggerf And I agree with you...

  • And that's why sharing this music with those who are currently the young generation is so, so crucial to hopes we all have for quality music - production and performance - in the future...frankly, I'm impressed with what seems to be a growing number of posts by teenagers expressing their admiration for music produced before their time - this needs to be encouraged...aye!!!!!

  • This is definitely Alan Parson's. Pink Floyd doesnt have anything to do with this song.

  • I Love This Beautiful but Sad Song !! :(

  • If you don't think song is the greatest then either you are too young or too blind to life.

  • Quel chanson !! superbe

  • @mimiex75 This is NOT a cover of pink floyd. It's an original or Alan Parson's!!! And a beauty at that!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @mimiex75 This is NOT cover of pf. It's an original or Alan Parson's!!!!

  • @mimiex75 This is NOT cover of pf. It's an original or Alan Parson's!!!! It's from "Turn of a Friendly Card"

  • one of the greatest bands making a cover of the best band of the world; this is awesome!!!

  • @JahBeltzazar

I'm not taking away from this song, but what is this a cover of? Since the music and lyrics are totally different from Pink Floyd's song of the same name, it's not a cover of that tune. I can't find any information elsewhere that indicates anything other than this being an original song.

  • @aflory2000

Look under Alan Parsons Project and you will see this song "Time".

Look under Pink Floyd and you will see "Time" from Dark Side of the Moon album. Two totally different and separate songs. It certainly has that Pink Floyd Drum beat and sound and the same Producer and Engineer-Alan Parsons. So really just google it and it is clear as day who did what song.

  • @cjrvision

Don't take this the wrong way, but you misunderstood my post. I originally replied to someone else who either stated or heavily implied that this song on this page is a cover of "Time" by Pink Floyd. Allow me to quote myself.

"Since the music and lyrics are totally different from Pink Floyd's song of the same name, it's not a cover of that tune."

Simply, someone else stated that this is a cover, and I am asking him what it's a cover of. That's all.

  • @JahBeltzazar Really? This is NO cover! It's an original Alan Parsons song! I was there when it was released. It aint PF!

  • great !!!

  • This is perfect

  • Love this music, we have certainly lost the best generation of music......hate the 17 modern crap music love assholes who disliked it!!!!

  • @GUI10287 Your wrong, that's just 17 people who are inaccurate with a mouse ;)

  • @GUI10287 being 55 , and a musician / engineer myself , Im tellyou the 70-s still exhist in Roswell, New Mexico when our band The Nashes " covers this , the beatles , creedence , pink floyd , I agree , piss on that new sH%$, . . . rock on

  • @GUI10287 explosions in the sky is the answer to your ignorant opinion , if you think there is no good music you are just a cynical loser who will be stuck on pink floyd and never progress , not that there is anything wrong with floyd but there are other bands that have kept their name alive and strong ,

  • @FadedSTEELERSfan Rush, for one. Cue the impending comments slagging Rush! Couldn't care though, they're great.

  • @irena7777777 but at least you know that there are other people's amazing work and talents to get us through the day

  • @FadedSTEELERSfan Exactly. Doesn't matter what other people say, each pair of ears is unique. Be boring if we all listened to the same stuff, wouldn't it!

  • I grew up with APP and PF and loved both. I canont take one away to say the other is better. In a way if it wasn't for Alan Parsons pink floyd wouldn't have made one of the greatest selling records still to date Dark side of the moon.

  • funeral song

  • I think this wonderful song was inspired in Pink Floyd´s Us and them and Time, both produced by Alan in 73

  • cryyy

  • brings a tear to my eye, miss you Eric.

  • Eric Woolfson for ever!! you live in us!

  • What a Beautiful Song!! I Love the Slide Guitar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Wonderful ! :)

  • Woolfson was the voice, parsons the project!

  • Thanks for posting! The "ORIGINAL" was sung by Eric Woolfson. May you rest in Peace Mr. Woolfson. Thank you too, Mr. Alan Parson!

  • i still love the great vocal of the original song by alan

  • all of the vocals here are too weak...can't match the original vocals........

  • to the sea...to the sea... Thank you Eric... I'll miss you my friend!!!

  • Pink Floyd, Yes and The Alan Parsons Project. Greatest bands of the 1970's. RIP Eric Woolfson 1945 - 2009.

  • plus Steely Dan and Eagles, brilliant songwriters all. But Eric, you were something else! Thanks for all the moments you shared with us.

  • @ComatoseCA Woolson passed away last year???? OMG. I didn't know that. And as for greatest bands, I have to throw in ELP. Can't forget them.

  • @ComatoseCA

PF is kinda overrated ... like pop music these days

    APP is legitimate greatness

  • @xXTiberiusXx PF overrated? Never! APP underrated? Yes!

  • @ComatoseCA just add one ELO

  • @ComatoseCA What about Genesis and King Crimson, then?

  • Very weak vocalist - that can't be Woolfson. Sad.

  • I once heard this song when i was in middle school, and i fell in love with it. Its an AWESOME SONG!!!!!!!!

  • good song this is for my bro and friend ADAM 4 ever.........

  • Ilike this music ala Iadore and a lot of memories that call on my mind with these sogns.

the turn of a friendly card

    a dream within a drea

    siren song

    the time

  • Thanks, Spiritos22. Strangely, Alan Parsons Live Project was playing on the next stage over, last night, and I was disappointed I couldn't see them at the local blues festival, because they were playing concurrently with Styx. I intend to make this planning oversight known to the festival organizers.

  • very smooth ly done.. not bad at all.. i think he is not the original but he has a smooth hi-falsetto voiz ...

  • Strangely, this song is reminiscent of Dark Side Of The Moon, which Al worked on. Was it meant as a Reprise?

  • That's because of the "steel" guitar used here (and not in original APP's Time), but used by Pink Floyd on Dark side.

Also the original singer was Eric Woolfson himself.

When I hear APP live, I understand better why Parson didn't want to play live for so many years: it,s not as good live.

  • @spiritos22 Right, he didn't want to play live because he was such a perfectionist in the studio. I remember the advertisements on the radio anouncing that he would come out from behind the curtain. They used an excerpt from the Wizard of Oz, "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain." Funny.

  • the beggining sounds kinda like Us and them

  • Alan Parson himself was the engineer on Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon."

  • I know :)

but engineering doens't mean "borrowing" songs :)

anyway, it is a beautiful song on its own. just a fun fact that it is similar to us and them.

  • Comment removed

  • Im sure he didnt "steal".

But it may have been a big influence. And what a great song to be influence by :)

  • I got to agree with you man pink is awesome

  • Dis song gives me such a lot of imaginations... its soothing n makes one transcend into realm of dreams...

  • My God, does he suck. The original is a masterpiece. This is crappola.

  • KCufmalsi...You're tone deaf...PLUS its LIVE ....retardo

  • Vulturefood.. "PLUS its live" LOLOL Being LIVE proves this wanker can't sing. There are videos of Billy Joel, Elton John, ELO that are LIVE on YouTube and THEY sound GREAT... I told you not to be stupid you moron.

  • Retardo KC, you never told me shit,I spoke to you first LOLOLOL...You're tone deaf Retardo...Lower the volume in your headphones...Maybe you'll actually hear the music. Hahahaha dumbass...Let me hear you sing Hahahaha

  • Again moron, I told you not to be stupid.... I now realize what the screeching you call singing sounds like... It sounds like your mother when I'm fucking her in the ass. LOLOLOL

  • This guy is NOT Woolfson, nor is he even close. Too much falsetto and he tends to go flat. Sorry to all those who like him, I think he sucks (at least for this). Might as well have had a woman that could at least nail the notes.

  • Mullins performed this on the album and had the vocal range this song needs.

  • Same goes with you Sprey

  • @101Osprey101 Right, he's no Woolfson but he's not too bad. It's really tough to pull off falsetto live sometimes. Still, I'm probably giving him the benefit of the doubt because I like the song so much.

  • One of the greatest songs ever written

  • Who is the lead? After all these years I finally thought to look for Parsons videos. I saw Time performed by Mullins, but this guy could sing this difficult piece without the orchestra. He lets it flow. He also does "Old and Wise" on YouTube

  • Comment removed

  • this song moves my senses..

  • it's a good version - they nailed it

  • Alan Parsons took a band of session musicians on tour a couple of years ago. No, Eric Woolfson has not collaborated with Parsons in a while. Parsons is definitely at the heart of the concert, playing guitar, keys, singing, everything. I saw him here, in Monterrey, Mexico, and it was a highlight of my life's memories. This is not one of the best representations of how amazing they were, but alas, Parsons is... well...larger than life.

  • This song brings back a lot of memories :) My dad is a big Alan Parsons fan:) We used to sit around the house listening to those albums. Btw, he stills has the ablbums!

  • Perdy. =)

  • Great video, very cool.

  • wow...who'd a thunk there'd be a live version.

wish I could turn up the bass. ...but ....wow.

Woolfson's voice is such an absolute treasure!

...filled with remorse and hope...a pure release to destiny and the inevitable. just love this song.

  • Cool! *****!

  • thanks for this moment !

    TECKMASSE

    "HOUSE IS IN THE AIR"

  • GOD I LOVE THIS SONG!!

  • Thank you for posting this. An awesome live version with Parsons on guitar it appears. Great music is great music, enough said. Parsons also worked on Floyd's 1st #1 album, Atom Heart Mother, one of their best...

  • recopado man

  • lastima de cantante

  • El cantante es Eric Woolfson??, Sorry, the singer is Eric Woolfson?

    Gracias

    thanks

  • When they were advertizing this tour they played an excerpt from the Wizard of Oz: "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain." The concept was that Alan Parson rarely showed his face but would now come out from behind the curtain. Beautiful song, always my favorite.

  • For those who don't know, Alan Parsons was the recording engineer for Pink Floyd's "The Wall". He was very heavily influenced by Waters and Gilmore. What a great tribute to them.

  • not only "the wall"! He`s the guy, who recordet the Clocks on "Dark Side of the moons - Time"! Great engineer and great musician =)

  • He also worked on the Beatles' Let it Be album.

  • erm... didn't do the wall and he did not just do Time; he was all over DSotM...

  • Parsons did not produce The Wall, that was Gilmour, Waters, James Guthrie and Bob Ezrin. Parsons only worked on DSOM for Floyd.

  • @mas3087 AND That! is exactly why DSOM stands out over all of the other Pink Floyd recordings. It was, IS, and ALWAYS will be...perfection!

  • @mas3087 ...and Atom Heart Mother

  • One The Eleventh Grade Drag This On The Prison Wall Coming Events

  • alan parsons is in my mind like pink floyd is an incredible asset to to the life blood of rock and roll. sorry, not to be too deep but what great music. signed by dr. tar and professer feather

  • Awesome song. Look behind the singer at 2:56 - a very rare site of Alan Parson playing slide guitar.

  • That's music...I like more Pink Foyd but that's beautiful music too

  • This song sounds a lot like "US AND THEM" from Pink Floyd's monster 1973 album "Dark Side Of The Moon", which was incidentally engineered by ALAN PARSONS!

  • It is also named "Time" which is also the name of a song on "Dark Side Of The Moon".

I agree it sounds a lot like Us and Them.

It also has the steel guitar sound of "Breathe".

  • i was just thinking that... pink floyd rocks =)

  • This song makes me cry

  • another marvellous song

Can anyone tell me who's the singer?

    Thanks 4 posting

  • the singer is collin blunstone

  • The original singer on the record is Eric Woolfson.

  • Thanks for that clarification because I could tell immediately that this was not the original singer. Kudos to anyone who can hit those thigh notes, though. God knows I've tried and can't come close.

    Great 80's music...God, I loved the 80's!

  • Goodbye my love, Maybe for forever

Goodbye my love, The tide waits for me

Who knows when we shall meet again If ever

But time Keeps flowing like a river... till it's gone forever Gone forever Gone forevermore... that line is for my kobe. nice song..

  • brilliant song

  • He is not good as W;lfson. The singer is okay for other songs..

  • Just isn't satisfying to me without the original guy's voice. What happened to him, anyway? Is he still out there somewhere? Thanks in advance.

  • @Wombatius123 as you may know the original singer eric woolfson passed away, after parting with alan he went on to create numerous musicals including freudiana, gambler and poe, more tales of mystery and imagination

  • I remember listening to this song while leaving my childhood home...cried my eyes out,...all the way for about 500 miles. Thank you Karl Kruse...thought I'd, of course, love you for 4-ever

  • One of the top pop songs ever...

  • Eric Wolfson's voice is very unique. I wish they wouldn't substitute lead singers like this. It's only as good as good karaoke. I want to hear Eric on lead vocal. Eric's vocal also stands out on Nothing Left to Lose.

  • definitely.

  • It's not even that good Karaoke. :D

  • The original was the dynamite one! But good try on the tweaks of this later version nonetheless.

Always a brilliant piece of music!

  • This dude just doesn't have it vocally--great song however.

  • Great song! Thanks for sharing
