My idle air control cleared up after running it for awhile. The motor was sitting for about a year and a half. I was having the same issues, but I guess running it every once in a while fixed it.
@4wheelz2freedom Oh ok, I used to call it an EK until I looked at the chassis code located in the VIN. The EJ6 is considered to be US model cx & dx or Canadian cx cxg dx & se but that's just the tip of the iceberg, there's also EJ7, EJ8, EJ9, EK2, EK3, EK4, EK5, the mighty EM1 & the legendary EK9. The chassis dode varies from engine type, trim, coupe, hatch or sedan. Those are just the ones I've researched so far but i'm sure there's more.
@lude3189 No prob man. Base model j32a (cuz i'm cheap) but i recomend the j32a2 from the type-s. 03 Accord 6speed tranny cuz the tl's need holes predrilled and the accord's does'nt. An ecu & harness for your specific v6 or u can hav the guys at R.P.M systems make u a harness. rsx shifter and cables. Karcepts shifter mounting plate. EG subframe and steering rack. Hasport mounts and axles. Any more questions jsut ask. Also check out "j32a.com" it should help alot. good luck.
@Aucteg thanks for the help i just found out the motor is a j30 not sure what alse is from a 2000 accord automatic he's selling my the hole car for 500 motor as 80 k but i ask some people and they tall me not to get this whyyy
@lude3189 well a j30 only makes 200hp, that's pretty sad for a v6 and you'll need to do auto to manual conversion. If i could start over i'd go with the j32a2 from the type s.
@Aucteg oooo soo is just only a defferens of power thas it but my thing is can bee done just like if i was doing a j32 6 speed tranny and all i mean i just wan to do it just for the looks not power just wan to make it a to b lol im not looking to race with it
@lude3189 lol "jsut for the looks" sound like me when I first started, now i'm stuck with a 3.2 that only makes 230hp wishing I gotten the j32a instead. Not sure about ur tranny question though man.
