Y'know, for most folks, I think your vocabulary here is too...well, dry. What you're talking about is deep stuff, which is great. But you need to make it accessible to folks, otherwise they're just gonna shut off. I had some difficulty understanding what in the heck you were trying to say, just because you spoke in 'textbook speak,' the kind of language I'd expect to see in a college math book. Not the easiest to understand, and certainly not the most compelling read, I'm afraid.

if the purpose of the world is to become self-aware then why do children die at 10 months old or even earlier?

@pestilence4885 Maybe it should be restated: "The purpose is to survive & become self-aware." Many are born that some may live and that fewer still may come to true sentience. Nature pads the bet, knowing that many will die and that but few of those that reach maturity will move beyond pseudo consciousness into true self awareness. There is nothing fair or loving about it. Neither children nor animals are spared from the harshness or the cruelty. Suffering & consciousness walk hand in hand.

I recommend reading John Eldredge; the man has an insight that is out of this world, and shows how God wants us whole again. Go head; run a search

Controlling or manipulating the world is just the epiphenomenon of self realization or finding the essential "ground of being".

I think the movie would have made a more profound point by having the character lose because it seems to me that the central point is that process is more important than outcome: if he finds the inner "swing" his "game" may be off but it doesn't matter, his Game is always on. Or his life is profoundly enhanced by the embracing of opposites, in this case, winning+losing

I almost got goosebumps when that golfer was practising his swing, getting the feel for "the field". This is a great pointer, I loved the otherworldly looks on those faces, it kind of makes sense that the mental noise/resistance falls away when there is that centreless feeling, just like when I practise recording musical parts over and over again until it just happens right. Thanks for this video!!
