No doubt Bratton could take a punch.....the problem is that that's way toooooo many puches taken! The accumulation of so many punches shows up as you age and you can see it, in most cases, in their speech pattern. So in one hand is good to be able to take a punch, on ther hand, is not so good to take that many punches.
@Kedbuka Bratton could definitely take a punch he was never officially knocked out and was only tko'd 3 times in his career in bouts against beau jack and ike williams when he broke his jaw and in the final bout of his career. Gavilan was an excellent boxer but wasn't known for his punching power, he had a ko percentage of 19%
Does anyone have any video showing the punch Gavilan threw that broke Bratton's jaw?

Was Bratton made of stone or did Gavilan lack power? He took LOTS of big shots and wasn't even hurt. Amazing.
