@SYN7HOR It's a nice patch but I think he could have made it sound much thicker with 20 oscillators, if he was going for a trance lead, with more detuning. And the thing with the JP supersaw is, you can set the mix & detuning of the supersaw at 75%, and it is already much thicker than this sound. The more you detune/spread your oscillators the fatter the sound for that "trance lead." JP-8000/8080 was born for this. But the Prophet 10, now that I have to give props for.

goodness, what gear. there is something incredibly sarcastic about the music and the commentary that made me both laugh and appreciate the effort it took to do all this. there is enough gear there to make some gorgeous sounds. compressing / filtering the drum sound and working with some interesting and original patterns for them and the synths may be a good idea. fun video!

More Saw signals != bigger. as soon as you hit 11 saws you really can't hear a difference when you add anymore.
If you want a BIG supersaw, it's all about Saturation. Mix 7 Saws the same way, and saturate each sawtooth signal before they area mixxed and I promise you your SuperSaw will sound MUCH better.

goodness, what gear. there is something incredibly sarcastic about the music and the commentary that made me both laugh and appreciate the effort it took to do all this. there is enough gear there to make some gorgeous sounds. compressing / filtering the drum sound and working with some interesting and original patterns for them and the synths may be a good idea. fun video!

More Saw signals != bigger. as soon as you hit 11 saws you really can't hear a difference when you add anymore.
If you want a BIG supersaw, it's all about Saturation. Mix 7 Saws the same way, and saturate each sawtooth signal before they area mixxed and I promise you your SuperSaw will sound MUCH better.

Ah. Read through the comments. Biggest was referring to the size of the machine making the super-saw, not the "biggest" as in most saws or sound.

He seems to know what the equipment does, but i have noticed with some people there is a distinct tradeoff between knowledge and ability. Only the best seem to have a comfortable mix of both but i am afraid this guy isnt one of them.

actually you dont know a real mans synth til you tried reason.....they have a combinator where you can stack as many synths as you'd like....trust me, when i switched from FL Studio to reason 4.0 i nearly shit myself over how much better it was

Reason is a picture of a synthesiser on a screen, these are real synthesisers. real men play instruments that test their strength to move ... that's why my other keyboard is an Hammond organ and a couple of Leslie speakers.

Hardware does sound slightly better, it is barely noticeable to most people though. I wish I could afford hardware though, it just looks like so much more fun.
