Sec. - no protest within Lib Dem ranks over this issue yet over NHS and AV there has been very clear protest. It is not a compromise, a compromise would have been maintaining the teaching budget, even raising the cap by a less substantial amount., misled their core voters, students and their parents, and they deserve everything they get.

He shouldn't have made wrong promises, but it's better than a Labour government which runs up debt or a Conservative one which would have been less fair on its own.

To cut off funding for Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, is to imply that these departments are inferior and invaluable. They obviously need to go back and look at the history of British culture, education and economy as Greats such as Eliot, Shakespeare and Sidney would be HORRIFIED. We shouldn't have to pay for another's mistakes.
