For added Pizzaz you can also add a false Vegas style shuffle, making sure to leave the top card on top, this'll distract the audience and hopefully they won't pick up on what you did.

Always a stunner for the spectator who knows nothing about card sleights.

I would recommend using a push-off double lift & turnover instead of your thumb counting. It looks more casual and convincing when done with adequate practice.

Also, the double lift has unlimited applications in many, many card tricks. So a convincing one makes all the difference.

Sorry! I perform card tricks on a daily basis for people and I feel a need to critique other cardicians' work.

This is a terrible way to perform a double lift. why?

When u naturally take one card off the top of the deck, you would never take the card off with two fingers shown in the video. Instead, observe how you take a single card off the top of the deck, and try to replicate that motion with two cards. That way, you do not arouse ANY suspision that you are holding two cards, and most spectators will actually BELIEVE you are putting the card in the center of the deck, when you are not.
