@dylbyl1234 I have an Acer Aspire Revo, and unless you're talking about a different model, it's really not the same thing - the Revo uses an Intel Atom processor and lacks much grunt, but the Hybrid uses a powerful CPU, so it's really not much of a competition. The Revo is cheap for a reason. :-)

Mac mini is better... but that looks pretty awesome! Yea, i dont really like dell... they have some realy cool looking products, but they arent very reliable... my school has dells because they're cheap, but they really suck. this looks like it would overheat really easily.

You don't think Dell has engineers that, oh, I don't know, test their products before selling them? Just because something is small doesn't mean it will overheat - or do you think the Mac Mini has the same problem?

actually, yes, the old mac minis DO overheat. its just that it seems that with the hard plastic outside, and the metal holder for it, it doesnt seem like there's many places for the heat to escape.

If old Mac Minis overheat, then my respect for Apple's hardware design has dropped a notch. Short of user stupidity such as putting it in a closed cabinet with no airflow, no well-designed computer should overheat. I had no overheating problems with the Studio Hybrid while I had it, and a quick Google search reveals no complaints about overheating being a problem.

Dell is very good and suits all pc users worldwide, it has many good laptops and desktops otherwise it would be out of buisness because no one would by their pc's. mac on the other hand has everything a mac user needs or wants, this is why they are a standard in the music industry, a must have in the film and graphic design industry, engeineers, architects etc.

@naponte28 macs generally are way slower then even the gimpiest computer this is do to the fact that .. the linux based gui requires less hardware to do its basic tasks , but in another sense macs are more expensive and cant do as much as a pc and only reason people get virus's is lack of knowledge pcs can be upgraded customized to be all out power houses macs cannot , to each there own though :D

I'm not sure - I haven't reviewed it. I'm disappointed that Dell put the craptastic AMD Neo CPU in it - and by the time you go for the dual-core version of the Neo, the Zino starts to get pretty expensive.

I have this computer, its okay.

I use it a little for low end games, but it powers down A LOT. Probably to be expected with its power adapter.

Its nice for general media though. A shame you can't put in a different video card, but considering how the power adapter is it wouldn't go far.

Well, I'm sort of the same boat. I'd first look at the type of games your interested in and their requirements. The lag might be due to your CPU aka processor. If your still want a laptop, I'd fine the one with the fastest processor out there. In that laptops are limited on their hardware upgrades.

My experience with dell

I order a laptop XPS studio on March this year

In May after a lot of calls asking what happened they send to me an ordinary email saying that is lost in the send.

That I have 2 options, they can send it again or return my money.

I didn want to wait another month so I ask for the money (but it will take 48 days)

However they charge the 3 monthly quotas from my credit card.

Now in August Im still waiting for my money, the support number.. no solutions really useless.

i agree with you, but for some ppl, size, and noise are more important than performance. for a gamer, yes build your PC, but for a basic home/office PC buying your PC is almost the same as building it. according to TigerDirect, but for gamers, building your own will save you hundreds of dollars. (building my own actually saved me over 1000 in comparison to an alienware with the same specs!) not to mention this PC is mostly for applications like word processing, etc

I'm not AGAINST OS X - if other people want to use it, I say go for it - but in my own limited experience it didn't seem to be all that spectacular to me. Besides, OS X means Apple hardware (not counting the hackintosh stuff) and in my view you get far more value for the dollar, and choice, with PC hardware.

True, they don't know how to build computers, they build the E520 with the motherboard upside down.... the CPU in the wrong place and a new craphics card either won't for because of the box size, cpu heatsink in the way of everything or a lack of a second PCI-E bracket slot so you will have to take a grinder to your bracket(once you have taken it off the card) to get it toa single slot size.

I have the same computer... in red as well

I upgraded the CPU to the 2.0ghz core2duo

But i only have 2gb or RAM and 160gb HDD

I use it with my LCD in my living room... using HDMI and its PERFECT. The dell logo on both sides glow so thats cool too.

When on, it glows "Studio" on the bottom in small writing.

It works well... i use photoshop and movie maker and all that kind of stuff all the time and it's awesome...

It cost me $580 american after taxes and s/h
