I love the way the feathers around the eyes make lines. How anyone can think that evolution did that, and colored all the birds so beautifully, is beyond me! Thank you for sharing your birds with those of us less fortunate.

I do understand natural selection and the theory of evolution. The 'big dude' in the sky wasn't said to have snapped his fingers to make things happen. Every one has a right to their opinion. I believe in mine, as you do yours. We'll find out for sure....eventually. Which ever way, I'm really glad we have the beautiful birds! :)

Je n'ai que deux perroquets, Avis et Frostie. Le reste des perroquets sont la propriété ou sont en cours de babysat par un ami qui a un établissement d'élevage de perroquets. Il a plus de 350 oiseaux. Tiki n'aimait pas la lumière qui clignote sur l'appareil photo. Elle est très douce oiseau.

B&G Macaws are generally good natured 'clowns' . As Tiki just came the day prior,still settling in, & not used to a camera so close to his face? I noticed his pupil 'pin' a few seconds before he lunged at the camera. You probably didn't see it through the lens. Instinct kicks in pretty quickly with birds.

A learning experience for both of you!

(I was struck the other day by my YCM, Homer when I brought a small green bowel toward him & missed the cues he was alarmed by it ! )

Well I know most are good natured. But some are smart enough to use words they learn in context, so they can actually argue with you (like say "no" or "too bad". Also I've been bitten by several but it's still a great bird to have, always entertaining.

My Blue Crown Conure, Avis, says, "Bye, bye!" , when someone appears to be leaving, "ut oh", when someone drops something and, "Give, give, give", if someone is eating something he wants. He also says, "Did you have a bath?", "Take a bath?", "Avis take a bath!", etc. in response to various, appropriate situations. You'll enjoy many of my videos if you take the time to watch them. They are good quality and most are quite funny!
