Just saw White Nights again after over 20 years in complete stupor and awe. My children will never have to worry about living like that at all. People complain about "the government" watching us always. Those people were never there during the Cold War like I was. People would literally point at the ceiling and tell you to hush when the conversation got too "political". The sacrifice Gregory almost made in this movie ... chills me to the bone. I thank God every day ...
