@Saieno86 Sorry, but I concur with spindlegrinder, I'd rather someone talk through the video than listen to rap music that has no relevance to the video.
You can only play extremely popular and supported games, new game come out on steam? suck it cause you got to wait. And most games you have to download aand install and set up and profile, and all this bullshit. Not worth your time.
@tetankemint You probably want ubuntu 10.4 and what I did was download and install "WINE" and then get "playonlinux" theres plenty of guides just do a little bit of searchin
you cant play FlyFF or any other game that uses a shitty hack protection program like GameGuard or hackshield as those tend to HATE linux no matter what
Of course you can play on linux - the question is why? To use Wine legally you need to own Windows License and then i see no reason to use linux for gaming. ATI and Intel drivers are useless. Only NV make good drivers (but they rewrite half of Xorg).
Also Wine is unstable, with every version they fix something only to break something else.
Gaming on linux sucks - and you cant argue with this.
To use WINE legally? There's nothing illegal about WINE. Yes you need a license for one or two optional additions, but you don't need them. ATI drivers are fine, never had a problem with Intel drivers, and Nvidia makes great drivers (regardless if they re-write majority of Xorg, it's a GUI configuration file, thus it's supposed to). WINE is unstable if you use an unstable version, that's why they have experimental versions for those that want to use it. Gaming in Linux is great, and free.
@rasiakwood it's true. i'm running Linux but I dual boot with windows for gaming. but believe me, if gaming was supported widely on Linux i would take my windows cd out the back and burn it, then i would burn another 100 bucks just for a sense of irony.
Guys, type Wine wiki on google and do a little search. You will find a wiki that has hundreds of games and applications and how well they work under wine
Definitly great video. Do want to know though. Is everything off Wine and what graphics card are you using? And would you mind telling me if Aion is availible to work.
On Counter-Strike I just played a quick Bot match, TF2 played on a server with anyone who could run the game (Windows, Mac, Linux), it doesn't discriminate just because I'm on Linux.
Well . It was grafic bugs , But can u give it a try =? I been a linux user for 2 weeks soon , and its hard for me to install diffrent games . Only u had maked a guide which was easy to follow. Pls , make more ;) / Greetings and THANKS from Sweden !
