  • This song is awesome to jam to on drums, especially the breakdown :D

  • I spent ages trying to find this song, I couldn't remember the name of it =) it's the fukn shit!! I still remember trudgen around perth to all these guys gig's. I remember 1 time at some pub in the city, me and me mate Daniel rocked up underage and got in then we stood in front of the stage and we went mental for their whole gig BTW we were the only two in the mosh pit ( I think we were the only people there for the gig) thats how long ago it was. That's right cunt's, old school

  • @MaximumKahnage Aussie Gold brother! We know how to rock! only school is the old!

  • That is a crazy awesome song!!! Love it <3

  • seen Ian and the band live about a month back. finished of the performance with fade and the roquefort for the encore. I finshed myself off in the crowd right then and there. un-bel-iev-able 11/10

  • @stoogeaRS4 amen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wat albums this off... iv got sound awake and themata

  • @penstealers it says the album in the info... its from "persona"

  • thank ya rockstar69.great soundquality and cool picks of this unbelievable band!!! Thank you.

  • I remember the 1st time i heard this live in Perth at the amps (with the 'new' Karnivool) and was blown away. In the space of 6..pobabably less..months,they came out totally different and really, really driven. Haven't looked back since. Stoked for em.

  • Brutal song. Lose my nut every time I hear it!

  • Is Mixed Blood another one of their EPs?

  • @antybobanty

Mixed blood, is just one of the CD's they did a cover on.

The original writer of the songs on Mixed blood is called Gotye

  • awesome!!!

  • yeah i agree great song very underated

  • Love this band, love this tune! Amazing tune from a very underated act. Saw 'em live once, and got to meet them.

  • do you think this cd would be available at like JB-Hi Fi or something? i'm hopping to see these guys at the enmore for the first time, should be sweet. It's so good to see an australian band that are good not like shitty emo and hardcore bands which seem to dominate the newcastle music scene and also at sucking balls

  • yeah youd be able to get it for sure.. when I saw them a few months ago, they played about half of the songs from themata, and all of there new album except for one song.. If you havent got there new album, you haveeeeeee to get it. its amazing.

  • @mulbring I just bought Persona fro JB-Hi Fi today ;)

  • @mulbring dont talk about closure in moscow that way

  • Hell yeah, cheers for the upload! I love this EP. This track is freakin tight live, I might add. Can't wait for the new tracks.

  • Probably the only song on the EP they still play live....it's pretty bad, but when everyone gets into it live it's alright

  • What do you mean Pretty Bad??? this song is Raw, over-produced songs sound crap becuase they cant play them the same live.

  • Songs are not written for live performances. The studio recording is how it is intended to be heard, live is just another way of experiencing it. It's always different live, that's part of the reason bands even bother to play live

  • @1nfiniteSingularity

Bands bother to play live because music was written to be played live, you fucking ignorant dumbcunt. Yes this is the way it is intended to be heard because this is how they aim to get it across, but it was written for LIVE performance, and to be completely honest, Karnivool are better live than recorded, so suck a fat one you musically clueless retard.

  • @Wladzole Not always true. Some bands don't even tour.

  • @Wladzole If it sounded better to everyone live then why would they bother making a studio version? why are you even listening to the studio version if you prefer it live? Do you know Karnivool personally to know this track was written for live performance?

You state your opinion as if it is fact, I think this qualifies you as the "musically clueless retard" more than the other guy

  • @Ashkinda

Poor justification. You know what, this is a great song, and it is a recording of them playing it for distribution, and live recordings are poor. Music is about performance and atmosphere, and the atmosphere and presence of Karnivool live is as far as I am concerned and many of their fans, far better live, but I can't really you know, have them performing live in my bedroom every time I want to hear the song can I know dumbcunt?

  • @Wladzole You completely avoided the point and prove again that you are the 'dumbcunt' if you want to hear the song live in your bedroom then listen to the live version not the studio version. Bands could just record a live version and not bother going through the vast amount of time and money creating a studio version if everyone had the same retarded opinion as you. Fortunately they do not and so I get to listen to what I and many others enjoy: the studio version.

  • @Ashkinda You're a moron.

Are you at all aware of much music that is live?

To record QUALITY live music costs about the same as recording in a studio and it has room for error, they can't fix up those occasionally misfit things. I enjoy the studio versions of things, obviously, but the music was not written by them so it could be recordedin one flat fashion and be done with, they tour to share their music, and why would people watch live bands otherwise? You're utterly retarded.

  • @Wladzole Actually professionally recording a single, live take of a song would be ridiculously cheaper than recording every instrument seperately and then spending the time to edit it all together. People, including myself, attend live gigs for the atmosphere, the crowd and the fanship of the band e.g. seeing the band in real life. People attending live gigs does not prove that karnivool or any other band's live version is automatically better than their studio version.

  • @Ashkinda I wouldn't even bother arguing with this clown. He/she's been ranting on this video for over 7 months...fail. I totally agree with you though

  • @Wladzole you're an idiot. it costs shit all to record live, unless of course you have it mixed . live recordings come straight through the mix board and recorded into a laptop, 16 track mixer or anything.

it cost 12 thousand dollars to record 4 songs in the studio for my little amateur band at professional quality.

why .record 5 guitar tracks if they have 2 guitarists? 5 part harmonies with one singer? use marimbas in the "Simple Boy" ?

you my friend, have been n00bed

  • @vealtra You are so very VERY wrong. Live songs are usually derived from live recorded shows played and turned into dvd's, and it would be ridiculous to record live stuff in any other sense, it is done through video, and if someone is playing any decent sized concert, the recording equipment is ridiculously expensive.

You think recording in a studio is expensive because it costs them money? No, it is expensive because there isn't shitloads of good recording gear around cheap.
