Faudra m'expliquer comment on peut comparer des traitements de dynamique en se basant sur un fichier vidéo compressé pour le streaming !!! Dommage aussi que la video soit de faible qualité .
I can't hear a fucking difference between anything. It's still the same song. Oh wait a minute...wow...the t-racks one makes the snare sound like a late 1940's era Frank Sinatra vocal. Wow!!!
I have a dream and in that dream, one day in the future, men will come together and stand as one and they will listen, they will listen to the voices of the leading plugin developers, and from their mouths shall hear the collective voice of truth............
how can you tell the difference In sound. Once you upload your video to youtube it is a wrap for good sound. The Neve Plugins are good so are the SSL Plugins
i completely agree with bunnywolfinc about the neve. both neves sounded very out of place and the t-racks was the best sounding. it's just too hard to tell what all these plugins are capable of until you start tweaking with them, though. they could all be very useful.
it would also be nice if the guitar amp didn't sound like a 2 inch woofer mounted inside of an empty diet coke can!
The neve 88 sounded the most inappropriate, the t-racks opto sounded the most appropriate. They are all really good, but I dont think the example track particularly highlighted any strong points. I think the track compression needs to be addressed before the buss compression - it sounded very stressed out. GIGO.
I think they are all good.. dep of what you are mixing .. what type of drums or instruments.. but i general form me in my opinon Neve, SSL & Sonalksis give me great result in my mix.. exemple if kick drum is very phat and all ready have a lot of low end or mabe to much i prefer using the sonalksis compressor but if its lacking deep bass in the kick from 40 to 80hz i use more neve or SSL ..
@ilterocktive DUDe, thank you! This is awesome. I think the 33609 works the best for this song, and close second would be the Sonalksis. I like the way the Sono brings up the sides of the mix, makes it sound bigger but it squashes too much point out of the snare.
neve 88 by far. Was a sony oxford on powercore user but I am switching to ua. My powercore died and tc - with an attutude- said they, "would look at it," - for 90 bucks- I am done with them.
Hey dude you used the neve 33609 wrong. Your supposed to switch that little switch on the far right of the compressor down to 14 for mastering material. If you don't mind could you do the same thing over again except put that switch down to 14? Thanks man. P.S I actually made the same mistake on a whole album I did, oops!
Thanks.
Also, I would have loved in higher quality sound. =)

PSP Mastercomp still the best Compressor out there. Like Elysia mpressor ,Tube Tech CL1B and the new Vertigo VSC-2 from Brainworx
MrSchoerschken 2 months ago in playlist KIND OF A DRAG
would be a much more useful shootout if he used more gain reduction.

Can somebody shows any UAD plug-in demo with synth and drum machines?

The Waves SSL are very good too.

to me the UAD Neve's are the best... and i'm leaning towards the 88RS. Adds a bit more body than the rest of compressors.

I switched screens so I couldn't be biased by the name. There was little discernible difference between all of them.

PSP grabbed the drums nicely, started to bounce, the guitars had better edgy quality. Clear winner imo.

I would go for uad neve purely cause it's eye candy :p

To me Neve stereo compressor sounded the best.

You have the Neve set to A1 release, not 100ms.

The Flux Pure Compressor seems to have a quite transparent sound with very little footprint! Nice!!

Am I the only one who thinks that such a comparison with youtubes sound quality is a lil pointless?
dondoppeltag 1 year ago 40
@dondoppeltag no you are right. And also 2 dB of Gain reduction is not enough. You can go easily till 6 dB (comp doesn´t pump here normaly).

1:13 - Sonalksis SV-315 Mk2
2:29 - IK Multimedia T-Racks 3 Opto
3:35 - UAD Neve 33609
4:42 - UAD Neve 88RS
5:49 - Flux Pure Compressor
6:52 - PSP MasterComp

I'd swap the IK Opto for the IK Fairchild and include Bootsy's Density mk2 if comparing Buss comps.

The Neve 88 was the best IMO, the SSL was second (sounded "warmer") I wish i heard it on another song. Sounds like a car insurance commercial.

very warm sounding comp from the 88rs, sounded nice and tight
