  • Simply intense, I regret not checking these guys out earlier! I listened to Piece Of Time and Unquestionable Presence and they're absolute masterpieces.

  • U guys should check out Alarum. They're another good tech jazz metal band.

  • What a sound. Amazing.

  • give a check to this band :youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=6jAmhCqeq1U sounds promising...

  • Vomit in a synth.

Where I come from, the word Atheist doesn't give anyone a hard on.

  • Unfortunately this album was even worse than The Obsidian Conspiracy.

  • Best album since Piece of Time.

  • Gostei pra caralho!

  • socke \m/

  • Even with one speaker, this band is amazing.

  • @hatementality :D

    I haven't known Deicide....

    Now everything makes sense

  • @hatementality Praise Jesus tour 2011! Featuring Atheist and Deicide! With Aeon, Vital Remains, Belphegor, and Behemoth. Featuring such spirited, inspiring songs, such as "Fuck your God", "Shred for Sathan", and "Godless".

  • @champayne17 Immolation should be invited too. They could play classic tracks like "Reluctant Messiah" , "No Jesus, No Beast" and "God Made Filth". That would be the dream come true tour for all the hardcore jesus lovers out there.

  • @MrTommyGrowls hes clearly joking dumbasses

  • Nice

  • @MrTommyGrowls That's good. But I want to be sure - Let's Go Check Out Their Lyrics!

  • took a while to get used to this album.....but damn its like heroin....

    at first your like....why?

then you are like......give it too me...NOW!

  • well, haven`t heard their newest album, but "resurrection macabre", and i still don`t really like it. i just take tribute to that golden time at the beginning of the 90s, when i mention these bands in one sentence.

    next: ofcorse i`m still 15!

last: tony choy was in atheist, pestilence and cynic. but hey, google it by yourself...

  • damn, from Piece of Time to this(r.i.p. Roger Patterson). Atheist only sounds better with every album

  • I was supposed to see them tomorrow but they cancelled the tour... feel like burning something ARGH

  • @subconni lol pestilence is fuckin horrible now. their new sucks fuckin dick!

  • This is awesome! WHy haven't I heard this before?

  • hearing those sampled beat-replaced drums KILLS ME!!! Its like hearing auto-tune for singers. Come on jason Suecof!!! These guys are no where near the category of metal bands like All That Remains and Trivium!!! Wow Still a killer album, and VERY HAPPY to hear Ateist again after 15 years!!! Thank you.

  • that scream and that riff at 2:28 are like one of the best things ever!!!

  • This album is getting better every time I hear it! ATHEIST \m/

  • What a relief I was afraid it wouldn't live up. I tied to order this from Relapse but their site was impossible and I gave up for now This is Christian in a gnostic sense btw

  • Death Cynic Pestilence and Athiest + Suffocation, Morbid Angel, Immolation, Incantation

  • I didnt understand something are they atheists or not?(the members of the band)

  • @taztaz12345671

    Yes they are.

  • Really really horrible production. Like terrible. The song itself sounds fucking awesome though.

  • The vocalist really spits the clean vocals. I'm not sure if I really dig it, but it's cool

  • Dude this album is pretty great,.Now Nu Morbid, there's a real fail, so stop bitchin! lol

  • I can see how the intro would put people off, it's abit all over the place, but I still see this as the best Atheist Album since "Piece of Time".

  • new album sucks comparing to the 3 masterpieces.

  • Yeah this is probably their worst album but Atheist's worst album is still a masterpiece.

  • ...breathtaking.

  • The REAL BIG FOUR! Death, Cynic, Pestilence and Atheist

  • I'd replace Pestilence with Sadus

  • @subconni Fuck ya man! \m/_ This old school stuff destroys new school.

  • @subconni Didn't Tony Choy play in every one of those bands?

  • @subconni you're like 15?

  • @subconni lol thats hilarious on so many levels. the fact it has 31 thumbs up made my day. lots of idiots in this world.

  • @subconni HELL YES!!!!

  • @subconni wheres suffocation

  • @subconni What about Obituary?

  • @subconni WHY DOES NOBODY GIVE ANY CREDIT TO NOCTURNUS >___<

  • @Zyborggian Because they're somewhat obscure. Personally, I don't think Cynic fits so well considering they haven't released too much material until recently, and practically went full prog with their reunion. Nocturnus should fit with the big four perception.

  • @subconni DEATH should not be in the Big Four! DEATH is the biggest ONE, unparalleled :)

In terms of technicality, I agree yours totally. In terms of popularity Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Morbid Angel, and Obituary should be the big four. As I said, for me, DEATH is the biggest One, in both terms of Technicality and popularity.

  • This is brutal shit.

  • What does he mean when he says : The grandest performance, next in line to enormous.Epicureans say it the senses, over reason to finish the sentence ?

  • Couldn``t care less , lyric wise , but this is d a r n good metal .

  • I love the sound of those 6" and 8" toms the drummer's got

  • Atheist is soooo sick! Why is this NOT in my collection yet?

  • Do Shaefer's lyrics remind anyone else of Dr. Seuss in how they rhyme and are delivered? When I listen to this for some reason a crazy, nihilistic version of dr. seuss comes to mind. Whatever, this album is awesome.

  • @eyeamlegend5 lol, fucking seriously!

  • @eyeamlegend5

    lol, fucking seriously!!

  • 5 people are second to Mercury

  • Less jazzy than I remember, but still mind-numbingly good.

  • Heard they had a new album so I went to check this out. riiight about 0:04 is when my head exploded.

  • yeaaaaaah!!

  • I like to think that one of the lions on the cover is giving the other one a hug, because he's crying tears of joy in the knowledge that ATHEIST ARE BACK!!

  • Holy fuck almost 20 years and they still shred

  • take a very good look at the bottom left corner of the album cover, its amazing how complex the art is, the cover is as complex as the whole album, whole worlds in there

  • wow...superior rape. Athiest BAMF

  • fuck ya!! even they're pretty different. they still have lots of the fuckin sick elements i loved about them before. now its just modern. sooooooo goooodd!!!!!

  • bass? :o

  • the best song of the album!

  • one of the best of 2010! Hails Tech Death Godz Atheist!

  • Nicely off-kilter and herky-jerky as Atheist should be, but the bass guitar is some weeeeeak bullshit. Makes you miss Roger Patterson even more. Playing with a pick is bad enough, but the mix absolutely entombs what little bass there is. I'm sure there are fingerstyle-playing Atheist fans out there who can do better...

  • @beastatlay he is not playing w a pick BRO!! WTF

  • @kellyandjess

Kelly, I admit my mistake and apologise unreservedly. However, I do think he should be much higher in the mix. Atheist is one of a handful of metal bands where you can actually hear the bass guitar, and a lot of people listen out for it. I wouldn't even be playing bass if it wasn't for Atheist.

I can't offer anything else in way of apology, but since you're a fan of technical music I'll ask this: have you listened to Cardiacs? You're missing out if you haven't.

    Best wishes.

  • I love that riff at :53.

  • Hm? There was a 17 year gap? I couldn't tell... \m/

  • that was what I expected. Atheist style in 2010 and not trying to do 'something like the old stuff' kind of music. +20 years are passed since the beginning, Rob unfortunately passed long time ago and I still miss him. so it's obvious that they can't do the same things. I hope I can see them live again.

  • You call it god

    I'll worship the sun

    Without all her fire

    There won't be anyone...

  • finally breakdowns that arent lame and overwhelming in the music such as scene bands, this one and along with Suffocation hehe, they do a good job of incorporating it

  • @BODOMmETALwolF You want a strong breakdown? May I suggest "Vengeance Is Mine" by Morbid Angel and "Horns Ov Baphomet" by Behemoth? Thank yew. Thank yew. *bows*

  • @J3R1N427i Cynic didn't form in 1993.

They released their first album in 1993 but go back to 1987

  • Are they a Christian band?

  • @TheAmazingKraken Hell no, that's why their called Atheist

  • @ixsetf Haha I was kidding!

  • @TheAmazingKraken the thing is ive seen people ask that question about more obvious stuff, like Slayer's South of Heaven.

  • @ixsetf That is a good point... but then again, there are some seriously stupid people in this world.

  • @TheAmazingKraken and sometimes its a bit hard to tell over the internet

  • @ixsetf I suppose, I just thought a stupid question like that would be noticeably joking.

  • this is my faforite christian band with deicide as a close second

  • @MinistryOfProng

And Gorgoroth in third no?? :D

  • @MinistryOfProng Ummmm... They aren't a Christian band.

  • @MinistryOfProng Christian band?

  • Comment removed

  • @MinistryOfProng laugh out loud!!!!

  • @MinistryOfProng why even joke about that?

  • @TheAmazingKraken it matters?? just listen they are amazing...the whole jupiter is amazing.

  • As much as I love Atheist, I have to say this album is pretty mediocre for them. I wasn't expecting Unquestionable Presence Vol. 2, but it's just lacking something, that special something, that made the early Atheist albums so magical. The riffs aren't as strong. And above all, the bass isn't really as audible as it used to be. Good album, but definitely not great.

  • To be honest, Unquestionable prescence never got to me that much because of the production. I feel it lost any heaviness. But every part of it comes back to me for this album.

  • I see the light now..

  • l'unico difetto di questo cd è che non se sente il basso abbastanza.

  • Can people stop comparing bands and just listen to the music. On every music video ever, there is always the one dude that has to say "like it or leave it."

Go Athiest! This album is a bit different from their old stuff but still great in it's own right!

  • This album is amazing! They returned with an epic metal album

  • You can´t compare Atheist with Nile and Dying Fetus ,since both bands play brutal blast beat driven death metal, which Atheist doesn't.

  • I'm not gonna lie but this technical death metal is very weak compared to Nile and Dying Fetus

  • @slim0221 C'mon, Dying Fetus is pretty cool on stage but it's pretty boring on CD (plus it's more brutal death/grindcore than technical death).

Actually, it's bands like Cynic, Death and Atheist that have crafted technical death metal 20 years ago ! Not Nile, Suffocation or Immolation (even if I'm a huge fan of this three bands... Especially Immolation which is one of the fucking best death metal band ever).

  • @Draclord35 Well I'm not really a huge fan of Dying Fetus but I love their 2009 album, I think it's an absolute masterpiece and a 10/10. I'm sure if you listen to the entire album you'll probably come to the same conclusion. Oh and BTW, Immolation's 2010 album was kinda boring and generic IMO.

  • @slim0221 I desagree about the Immo last release. The production is less dirty and dark, that's for sure... But the drums ! Seriously, Steve Shalaty just kill every fucking drummer that have played in Immolation (and of course Smilowski and Hernandez are both elite drummers) with its drums part on Majesty and Decay. That's not my favorite Immolation release (I prefere "Close to a World Below" and "Here in After"), but that's still one of their best record IMO.

  • @Draclord35 Athiest, Cynic, Death, and Meshuggah perfected the techy metal genre. Fetus, Suffo, and Immolation came after those bands. However I love all those bands equally. But yes people should pay homage to Athiest and Cynic for being the forefathers of this genre.

  • Was the album any good?

  • I like this album but I think the production needs more bass.

Support Atheist and BUY THE ALBUM \m/

  • This is worthy of Atheist.

  • Holy shit that was awesome!

  • 00:52 total eargasm

  • lol. this almost brought me to tears when i saw that they had a new album and had heard of this song. peeplez can say wat they want, i dont give a fuck

  • @MetalHead420100 Lol if anyone says anything, it just means they don't know how devoted and dedicated our lives our to this music.

  • @rectifytheblack420 ya exactly. thank you sir

  • OH FUCK these guys have a new album, YESSSSS ATHEIST, THIS IS FUCKING AWSOME

  • this album is an example of technical death metal gone wrong. technically, each individual instrument sounds great, but together it sounds like a jumbled bunch of "sterile" shit with no momentum--its not bad in comparison to other modern bands of the same genre, but Jupiter really fails to continue atheists creative legacy characterized by each of their first three albums

  • @metalzface Too bad its not technical death metal budsy boy. It's progressive fusion jazz technical metal. hahah fuck off douche.

  • @sasquatchops

No! It's technical progressive thrash disco heavy metal influenced death metal...with jazz influences. Who the fuck cares about genres. Saying something is either death or thrash metal is fine, but don't overdo it.

  • @calastiur way to pick up on a gag bro, thumbs right up to you. 5 gold stars.

  • HOLYSHIT I am in love all over again

  • tish is absolutely fantastic, but elements is the best!

  • OK, this is one of the best band i've ever listened to. I heard this track an I had to look for some older stuff. I've just watched some of their old live videos and I've got a question. Either I have some problems with my eyes or I've seen it right and the lead-guitarist put on his strings upside down, which would be really fuckin weird. So did I see it right???

  • @hallamassabadad Yeah Rand Burkey learnt to play on a guitar upside down cause he was a lefty, so when it came to play on his own guitar he strung it upside down, could you imagine Kelly and Rand learning this kind of crazy shit together when one of them was always upside down,

  • @1asotspla Haha, crazy shit. Did he just not know, how to strung a guitar od did he want to try something new. later than when he saw Kelly, he should have realized that he did something wrong, right xD

  • @hallamassabadad well he was only a kid when he learnt on another family members guitar I think, and he was left handed so he practiced and practiced on this thing upside down before he even played metal, so I guess when it was time to get serious he wasnt going to teach himself all over again, I think its cool, crazy and weird, totally fitting to this great band.

  • I like Atheist's new album. Fortunately is sounds like them and not some modern tech death metal band. Unfortunately, it doesn't add much to the band's discography. It doesn't really stand a chance compare to the first 3 Atheist's albums, but on it's own, it's quite good I'd say. Oh and the bass coulds be louder. :P

  • goood))

  • not bad at all, cool drums

  • Album is pre-ordered. I cannot wait!

  • needs more bass, but pretty cool still

  • @dapik5 That'd be kinda hard when Tony left. IIRC, one of the guitarist did the bass for this album.

  • @SoapyTaco ok, but it should be louder still. it just gets lost behind the guitars

  • They are baaaaaaaaack!

    This is fantastic.

  • this is sick!! gonna get this album!

  • LP is on the way!

  • Beautiful production, excellent instrument separation, perfect bass, dynamic drums, awesome guitars. My opinion of Suecof is completely different now.

  • fuck yeah this album kicksass

  • finally i get to listen to a track from this

  • @brazilianEYEreportU Hey, what do ya know, so is trolling! asshole.

  • @sol319 i would be trolling if i said that metal is for adults

but i'm not trolling, junior. you had best unfuck yourself.

  • @brazilianEYEreportU

It's simply a music style, you are an idiot. Of all metal bands you could've directed that too, you direct it to an awesome band such as atheist. There are no better or worse genre's of music, it is all opinion. Just because he likes metal does not mean he is fucked. He just has a different preference than you. But who am i kidding, it is impossible to get through to an obvious troll. You will probably respond by saying "UMAD BRO?". Go ahead, do it. Show me your ignorance.

  • @brazilianEYEreportU no its not

  • @brazilianEYEreportU if it was for kids it'd be on the family channel. metal is for anyone who can actually appreciate the style and lyrics, that most children wouldn't/don't understand.

  • Special Edition Album is on the waaaaay!

  • buy the album you fags.

  • Amazing,

  • FINALLY GODS are here again

  • @Humamibrahem interesting seeing as their atheist eh??? but yeah, this is fuckin awesome, its always good to see bands like atheist re-emerge and give a serious fuckin ass kickin

  • @Humamibrahem there are no gods they are athiest

  • @Humamibrahem there are no gods they are atheist

  • it sounds like they are going be to your roots and playing more DM than jazz. but elements was still a great album but piece of mind is a bit better.

  • ATHEIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Finally they're back...

  • Its good shit sophisticated cunts and homos.

  • I have to admit, I didn't think much to this song at first. After listening to it like 7 times in the last hour though, it's starting to make sense to me. I'm slowly getting into it and I know I'll grow to love the album if this is a good indicator of the overall sound. P.S. I don't know why people are bitching about Kelly's vocals so much. They've sounded different on every Atheist release and are far better than a lot of other bands who've tried to replicate their sound.

  • @iDestroyNazis Plus, hes up their in years. I mean, Chuck's voice from testament is giving out a bit. SO is mille petrozza's :'(

  • @iDestroyNazis Kelly's new vocals slay everything ! Its much better than on "Unequestionnable Presence" IMO.

  • This song kicks ass. What idiot missed and hit the dislike button?

  • I require this album.

  • Is it just me? Or are those two lion enjoying a great session of homosexual intercourse? CAN'T BE UNSEEN!

  • @monkidawg The other is a bear isn't it? Even better =D

  • @jamma246 Oh wow, you're right! For both reasons

  • you guys don't have ears if you think this sounds good. it sounds like horseshit. fucking terrible -tech songwriting too. just a bunch of wanque that's going nowhere. kelly sounds like SHIT. and he sounded great at his lives just a year ago.

holy fuck those drums sound like shite. goddamn. poor basswork too.

really though, the problem is the songwriting. this song goes NOWHERE. this is approaching bad necrophagist wank.

  • Pre-Ordered. Can't wait to hear the full CD quality of this soon to be classic. Atheist fucking rules.
