Well he should be good as his father is Ustad Imrat Khan the younger brother of Ustad Vilayat Khan.
His grandfather Ustad Inayat Khan and his great grandfather Ustad Imdad Khan and his great great grandfather Ustad Shahabdad Khan were all musicians that ate drank and lived in music.
He was no doubt taught by his father but music runs in his blood and I suppose Ustad Shujaat Khan's too.
So comparing this family with the rest of the sitar players is fruitless because they all stand out.

Amazing music... have enjoyed it thoroughly even though I don't know much about classical/semi-classical Indian music. Very melodious!
