There should be a patch that fixes sonic's animations when he jumps off the walls. The script errors, most people go out of their way to find and exploit. Maybe have sonic move faster? I don't know, I've never played this game, but I still feel like I've missed out on something great.
In regards to the hub, I mean, I don't mind if it's there. Think of Station Square: All it REALLY was was a circle with levels around it, and a few hidden areas. If you wanted, you could ignore it and Mystic Ruins during the entire game, and just head straight to your next level. Just make it smaller, all the buildings in Soleanna make it feel like you're literally traversing a maze.
DAMN, does this game deserve a remake. With Sonic Team's current skill in just putting a damn game together and having it work, a remake of this game would kick ASS. A working, beautiful game. They could take out some of the dumber things (the goddamn Soleanna hubs and their missions). You could say Unleashed was bad for whatever reason (although I loved it), but you have to admit that the game at least worked. This needs to be the Sonic Adventure 3 that it so desperately aspires to be.

Also, the level design is shit (too automated and not enough speed), the control is shit and the camera is shit. It is just a shit game. If Sega would remake the game it would probably be awesome, though

@E3FANBOY101 This IS the SA and SA2 engine. A hacker screwed a bunch of the data(Super Sonic was supposed to be playable in regular levels, etc.)so Sega had to delay this, but people wanted it so badly they forced Sega to rush it. As for glitches, 4/5 happens if you look for them and EVERY game has glitches. The characters were slow, but the rest doesn't prove your point either.

Controls are glitchy, the game is PLAGUED with loading screens, Sonic is EXTREMELY slow when compared to his other games... (and it's not even for making the platforming sections easier, he's just slow!) Not to mention the story is a convoluted mess and... Well, it's just a bad game.

Met too. I think it must mainly be the loading screens. I know that there are a few other problems with this game but its the load times that are the killer.

@MarioSonic2010 I know that, it's exactly what I was saying. People blame the game when they do glitches on purpose. I look at some glitch videos and I'm like ''What the hell was the guy doing there to begin with?'' The game has glitches and flaws, I can't deny that, but most glitches will either only happen on purpose or won't change anything(ex:when you stick in the middle of a roof in the hub, it's pointless and won't kill you).
A true Sonic fan would like all Sonic games. I personally LOVE Sonic 06, who cares about all you! If everyone in the world hated Sonic 06, there would be no true Sonic fans, there would be just Sonic game players. Think about what I said and start liking Sonic games.

@DoixStudios Well actually to be fair it is a bad game but not an abysimal game. I still see Sonic Heroes as the worst 3D game. But this follows in a close second. To a point i find it OK but the problem mainly was that 1. They rushed the game and half of Sonic Team left in the middle of the game and 2. The game focuses WAYY too much on platforming and not on speed.
True, I agree with all of that (and how Sonic Heroes was just plain horrid). The only reason i sad what i said was because Sonic 06 is probably the closest we'll ever get to a Sonic Adventure 3.The gameplay is VERY similar to the last 2 (aside from the bugs). Also, i think they focused on platforming a bit too much because people were complaining about the games focusing too much on speed than exploration, wheras the original genesis titles balanced both in a remarkable way. But i agree.
But if you think about it Adventure had a pretty great balance much like the Genesis games really it was Adventure 2 and Heroes that really made Sonic primarily speed.
True, I can't forget Adventure 1. If you ask me, Adventure 1's style, gameplay, and story seem like it was a genesis title. Adventure 2 came out, and I thought it was okay. It wasn't my favorite game, but it was still fun. (Adventue 1 is my favorite sonic game) Then, when Heroes came out, I popped the disc in my GCN to find out that this made me say "WHAT THE !@#$ IS THIS"
@TimerbombMan platforming as in having to use your mind a lot more to get through the level instead of just simply speeding right through it. Here would be a great example as the gameplay doesn't have very much speed as Sonic Adventure 1 did
This game really wasn't THAT bad. Sure, it may have 8,000 glitches in a single level, but if you teach yourself to ignore those, it's a pretty awesome game.
Alot of people always said this game sucked so I didn't play it but I did this week and I thought it was pretty good it was fun to me and people also say its not that fast I think the action stages like when Sonic has to really run is pretty damn fast. But Sonic Unleashed is a beast.
Glitches, loading times, & storyline inconsistancies. I'd recomend watching a few sections of the Hellfirecomms playthrough of the game to get all the details.
Still, the problems by no means outweigh the worthwhile sections, imo. Some love the game, some hate it. It all comes down to what you prioritize in games.
If you're planning on buying it, watch a few reviews, walkthroughs, etc., & then make your descision.
i think they should make a game with stages like sonic's in unleashed cuz those actually brought back the old sense of speed....also they could put in a bunch of more cut scenes, but cool ones where they show off sonics style . almost like devil may cry. and no more city hubs just go straight to the stage
Agreed, you should check out the new sonic game teaser that just came out not too long ago. The game is code-named "project needlemouse", which promises for a recreation and return to old 2D sonic, in HD! :D

Lets see where to start. The voice acting acting was horrible, the graphics were crappy for the system, there were Realistic-looking humans, the missions were too repetitive, the loading were incredibly long, there were too many characters, it was too easy to die, the music didn't fit the flow of the game, sonic was too slow, boss fights too simple, eggman's realistic version sucked, the storyline made no sense, and worst of all, a relationship between sonic and a freaking princess. There u go.
yeah, there is a lot wrong. But, the thing about the characters is my opinion. I just think that sonic team should make a sonic game with only Sonic, and Tails, and also Dr. Eggman, but using the character model in sonic unleashed. I just figured it out! The reason recent sonic games stink compared to the classic ones is because sonic team keeps adding new characters, and story elements, they are making it way too complicated!
It was rushed in development, but i think it looks sicks to, i'm getting a 360 for birthday, and i'm syched about this game for some reason :D isnt that bad, strong points is music though :)

Met too. I think it must mainly be the loading screens. I know that there are a few other problems with this game but its the load times that are the killer.

@MrOnionRing Though I don't consider 06 as one of the best games, I still enjoyed it. The reason it would have sucked is that Sony and Microsoft forced them to release it, even though it wasn't 100% complete(this is 3-months rushed). The other reason is that people bitch for anything and run around to purposely find the glitches, when most of them only happen if you want them to. Despite that, I loved it too. After all, it is Sonic Adventure 3!

@MarioSonic2010 I know that, it's exactly what I was saying. People blame the game when they do glitches on purpose. I look at some glitch videos and I'm like ''What the hell was the guy doing there to begin with?'' The game has glitches and flaws, I can't deny that, but most glitches will either only happen on purpose or won't change anything(ex:when you stick in the middle of a roof in the hub, it's pointless and won't kill you).

A true Sonic fan would like all Sonic games. I personally LOVE Sonic 06, who cares about all you! If everyone in the world hated Sonic 06, there would be no true Sonic fans, there would be just Sonic game players. Think about what I said and start liking Sonic games.

@DoixStudios Well actually to be fair it is a bad game but not an abysimal game. I still see Sonic Heroes as the worst 3D game. But this follows in a close second. To a point i find it OK but the problem mainly was that 1. They rushed the game and half of Sonic Team left in the middle of the game and 2. The game focuses WAYY too much on platforming and not on speed.

True, I agree with all of that (and how Sonic Heroes was just plain horrid). The only reason i sad what i said was because Sonic 06 is probably the closest we'll ever get to a Sonic Adventure 3.The gameplay is VERY similar to the last 2 (aside from the bugs). Also, i think they focused on platforming a bit too much because people were complaining about the games focusing too much on speed than exploration, wheras the original genesis titles balanced both in a remarkable way. But i agree.

But if you think about it Adventure had a pretty great balance much like the Genesis games really it was Adventure 2 and Heroes that really made Sonic primarily speed.

True, I can't forget Adventure 1. If you ask me, Adventure 1's style, gameplay, and story seem like it was a genesis title. Adventure 2 came out, and I thought it was okay. It wasn't my favorite game, but it was still fun. (Adventue 1 is my favorite sonic game) Then, when Heroes came out, I popped the disc in my GCN to find out that this made me say "WHAT THE !@#$ IS THIS"

@TimerbombMan platforming as in having to use your mind a lot more to get through the level instead of just simply speeding right through it. Here would be a great example as the gameplay doesn't have very much speed as Sonic Adventure 1 did

Alot of people always said this game sucked so I didn't play it but I did this week and I thought it was pretty good it was fun to me and people also say its not that fast I think the action stages like when Sonic has to really run is pretty damn fast. But Sonic Unleashed is a beast.

Glitches, loading times, & storyline inconsistancies. I'd recomend watching a few sections of the Hellfirecomms playthrough of the game to get all the details.
Still, the problems by no means outweigh the worthwhile sections, imo. Some love the game, some hate it. It all comes down to what you prioritize in games.
If you're planning on buying it, watch a few reviews, walkthroughs, etc., & then make your descision.

i think they should make a game with stages like sonic's in unleashed cuz those actually brought back the old sense of speed....also they could put in a bunch of more cut scenes, but cool ones where they show off sonics style . almost like devil may cry. and no more city hubs just go straight to the stage

Agreed, you should check out the new sonic game teaser that just came out not too long ago. The game is code-named "project needlemouse", which promises for a recreation and return to old 2D sonic, in HD! :D

Oh yeah, and by the way, I decided to but the game, despite the horrible reviews, because I am a hardcore sonic fan. I tried to like it, I really tried hard to like it, but I just couldn't. Please do yourself a favor and buy sonic unleashed, my friend. You WON'T be disappointed. Well, actually, you won't be disappointed with the sonic sections in the game.

Lets see where to start. The voice acting acting was horrible, the graphics were crappy for the system, there were Realistic-looking humans, the missions were too repetitive, the loading were incredibly long, there were too many characters, it was too easy to die, the music didn't fit the flow of the game, sonic was too slow, boss fights too simple, eggman's realistic version sucked, the storyline made no sense, and worst of all, a relationship between sonic and a freaking princess. There u go.

yeah, there is a lot wrong. But, the thing about the characters is my opinion. I just think that sonic team should make a sonic game with only Sonic, and Tails, and also Dr. Eggman, but using the character model in sonic unleashed. I just figured it out! The reason recent sonic games stink compared to the classic ones is because sonic team keeps adding new characters, and story elements, they are making it way too complicated!
