quake live dynamics n movement should be based on Q2 and not this Q3 garbage.

quakers don't give a shit about the grahpics (= they like a game for it's gameplay and physics, the need for quick reactions and thinking in a first person shooter (= even 16 years later since the release of quake 1 competitions are still going and it's just a recent thing that q1 up to q4 has made the transition to quakelive.

Some of the first PC games I played were DOOM 2 and Quake 2.

I was 14 years old...

This was the future to me.

@supasonicman I Really doubt that. The game was produced in 97 and was mad to run on a dial up connection eg the extremely undetailed enemy. It sounds like some creative bullshitting on your part.

Consoles have ruined FPS multiplayer gaming. No bhop, no (expected to) quick manual aiming, no health packs/armor...basically oversimplified slow moving targets that float when they jump with auto aim...im so pissed where gaming has gone

At least one of the paks is "Purri" pak, just google it. I miss Quake2 also but, it will never be the way it use to be 1998-2006. The game lasted for a long time. People do still play on tastyspleen's servers. Mostly their DM FFA server as well as their tourney and ra2 servers. tastyspleen dot nnet Also, you can find some old maps and other files at 1mgs dot ccom , home of the only surviving Zone based clan. you'll usually see them use it when they feel it is guarenteed
