  • Great stuff, but didn't Random Brainwaves segue right into this?

  • brilliant. great concept.

  • this song is so freak... but I kinda like the idea :)

  • L, Freeze frame, ISMISM, Birds of Prey.....those were the days...

  • I wanna play this for friends when they're baked

  • People position this lite up plastic Santa,s mercilessly out on there cold front lawn to be stared at, and sometimes hyped up kids come and temporarily "free them" from their inanimate state?

  • This song, fucking weird as fuck.

  • sounds like a fucking radiohead song

  • This is probably the most innovative recording I have ever heard. Godley & Creme used the studio like a big instrument.

  • Listening to it a third time, the guitar playing reminds me very much of Robert Fripp's playing. Was he a guest musician on this song, or is that Godley or Creme on guitar?

  • @marcfedak Robert Fripp didn't appear on this album, but Phil Manzanera did. Incredible guitar work. See also "Primitive Guitars".

  • @marcfedak, thanks pmills for clarifying that. I agree that Phil Manzanera is a great (and sometimes under rated) guitarist. He could play cleanly and precisely, hard rock style, and experimentally.

  • Another thing, 10ccFanClub, thanks for taking the time to post their excellent lyrics. Great understated slide show. If you're interested, here's a demo of a song I recently wrote in a similar power pop vein called Summertime.

  • Thanks a lot 10ccFanClub for posting this menacing masterpiece. Godley and Creme and 10cc were masters of "progressive pop".

  • One of my favorite buzzed anthems!

  • I think they pulled out all stops on Freeze Frame. This stuff is so weird and wonderful and so creative. Just love it, even if "physics isn't fair".

  • why cant i find this song on ITUNES? WTF.

  • Thanks. I used to have this album and this is brilliant. They used an icon of an Eventide Harmonizer as the credit for the vocals.

  • Pure Genius, love the crazy guitar the fantastic lyrics and distorted voices and the Ashmatic chorus, totally Brilliant.

  • Great presentation!! Couldn't find my CD and desperately needed a fix! Now I know all the Lyrics to boot! Thanks for the nollidge!

  • Thanks a lot for this vid - absolutely awesome!

  • holy acid trip, batman! :D

  • Most definitely Phil Manzanera on Guitar.

  • Good to hear it again - I had this song on my English literature list at secundar school...

  • this is awesome

  • My favourite singalong song of all time!

  • "from specks of dust to paperweights" yes! One of the most interesting and curiously musical songs ever made.

  • At first, this song creeped me out a bit with the singing. But now i can't get enough of this song

  • Absolutely brilliant. I bought this when it came out and it still sounds new. Excellent.

  • my favorate song of all time 30 years ahead of its time "pitchshifting" or vox autotune

  • Great song, wonderfull music. Thanx.

  • My favorite song from this band!

  • I gotta get this album again... I can't play it now because I don't have a cassette machine any more.

  • My cousin played me this in 1981.

  • Thanks 10ccFanclub for posting this amazing song. The guitar playing sounds like Robert Fripp on Brian Eno's Baby's On Fire or Adrien Belew on King Crimson's Elephant Talk.

  • @marcfedak I heard it was Phil Manzanera that did the guitar work.

  • @PeterMayer PM was all over the LP but I don't know if he was on this track specifically. It sounds more like Lol Creme to me, but I don't have the sleeve to consult anymore.

  • This is the first use of 'autotuned' vocals, they used an Eventide keyboard harmoniser to shift the pitch of their vocals in a weird way. Brilliant song!

  • @alien8ted

    prove it pussy.

  • i feel sorry for the moon

  • Thanks a tonne. These guys have kept me warey of everything I step on, breathe, eat and poo since this damn album came out. Har! Wonderful.

  • WOW. A million thanks Roy, Dave and Valerie :) It's SOOOO difficult to find this song. What an amazing piece. You made my day.

  • This makes me "Lol" heh heh heh...
