  • Quality rap music representing HIP-HOP righteously

  • It's refreshing to hear songs like this-which are gems bcoz they really have meaning!!! Can this new generation follow suit and talk about feelings and relationships, rather than sex and lustful stuff??/!

..And if they could 86' those expressions like"I'mma hit that" or "I'mma beat it up"!!=(((

We have to be more progressive than that!!!..We have more value than those sentiments!!!

  • 80s Swagger!

  • Man, the choreography for this video is so fresh! It's a shame that hip hop videos don't have dancing like this in them anymore.

  • @str8outtatexas1...WORD...My son, nephew and their friends hear nothing but real hip hop when they are with me. They gotta know there is more than what they are fed today.

  • DAMN THIS WAS MY SHIT BACK IN THE DAY I WAS 8 AT CAMP. PUPPY LOVE FOR ME THEN

  • The message in this Whodini jam is awesome. I went to see them perform years ago as a much younger lady. I enjoyed them totally.

It is shameful that MOST of "our" community of "todays musicians" seem to have changed the message in their music to filthy, hate filled lyrics. Guess they can't make any dough without including that; therefore, what does that say about the people that buy it.....hmmm? Just askin'.

  • That dude is playin that hat lol!!!!

  • A hit is always a hit!

  • Classic...

  • me jody arnold nicky sidberry thomas hayes chill and of course uncle curtis

  • This is bomb!!!!!! Music just isn't like this anymore. I'm thinking about collecting all these old schools songs. I'm pushing 39 next year, and this new generation of kids are lost about creativity. Like every song they come out with is cheap and has the computer voice in every song. WHACK! :) Nothing is just cool, everything is about making the black man angry.

  • Me and my daughter do the one love dance every time we see this video. Classic!!!

  • My goodness, that was hot. SMOKI'N!!

  • I luv Whodini especially one love!!

  • This is my song and all.., but god damn they needed better choreography!

  • Yeah it is the song right here!!!! One love!!!!

  • Whodini one of the greatest of all time period and truly expressed how a man should treat a women and admitting there faults damn that was the 80s!!!!!!!!!!no need to get blunted or pissy drunk in order to perform either!!!!! actually the fact that they could preform a stage show seems like a miracle now a days !

  • @MultiBrightsmile amen.

  • Would you look at that. They do have more good songs than just The Freaks Come Out At Night. I finally decided to listen to more of their music. It is good.

"friends", "big mouth", "five minutes of funk" were all popular hits as well.

  • Music with a purpose bruthas that were smooth, put beats together and could rap, One Love was one of the smoothest songs ever made still rock this every day, got my 8 y/o knowing who whodini is.

  • @msc32511 -I agree brah. I try to tell these youngsters at work about how smooth the rappers were back then. They dressed well, produced funky ass beats, and were fan friendly. People are going to say we're old and times have changed, but it's not that I can't accept change, it's that we're used to hearing great artist. Today everything is bitches,ho's,money, weed, guns, bling, beef, cars, ect. No depth,no critical thinking at all. SAD

  • Love, Love, Love, Love; Love, Love, Love, Love!!!! I always wanted a hat like that!!

  • #BunnyBee11....AMEN TO THAT!!!!.....THIS WAS REAL MUSIC!!!!!

  • whodini ...............FIRE.........

  • These guys were so good. They, along with Kurtis Blow and Run DMC, were the kings of rap through the early 80's.

  • this song real as hell " guess a bird in ya hand beats 2 in da bush

  • GAWD...I was in high school and madly in love with a boy named stephen. This song really did it for me lol

  • this is what it sounded like in the old school rap days, this song is still hot today...

  • This cut remind me of the early hip hop movement that still represented respect, talent and black culture. I was also at this concert at the checkerdome in st louis mo.

  • I freaking love this beat!!!

  • if you like this listen to why r u remix with amerie.

  • GODBLESSYOU1L♥VE

  • This was the cut back in the day! It's tru, "Ya Lucky Just To Have Just 1"

  • i agree. it kinda reminded of that too. the neptunes do have a synthesizers trademark. give it up to the tru old school.

  • WooW funky hip hop track in the 86 i never here such thing:)

    woow man 5/5

  • Back in the day dance steps were simple.. now people get crazy.. but it's good

  • I'm 18 but my momma call me old because i really listen to old school music..lol this my favorite and i also like friends.

  • Nothing wrong with that.. This is real music anyway.. good u have that old soul, with today's sucky rap music!!

  • Stand the hell up for whodini they blessed the world of HIP HOP

  • Whodini's shit still rocks the clubs! That should tell ya somethin' about old school rap!

  • I grew up on these tunes. Big Ups to Whodini!

  • Fall of 1986 what a great song I was listening to Jesse Johnson's "Shockadelica and Whodini classic album and this beats LL Cool J's ballad "I NEED LOVE" by a year, I thought Whodini's "One Love" was a better jam and Hip- Hop was evolving from just party jams to storytelling that would bloom with P.E., De La Soul and other great acts. Hip- Hop since 1993 has regressed to coonery thanks to Dre, 5 Cent, Souljah Boy and Lil Wayne and the rest of the no-talent brigade.

  • THIS SHIT IS CHOICE.

  • yo yo checc out kdageneral freaks come out remix freestyle

  • back when kats wasn't frontN like they where hard or a thug...

  • Serious Funk! ...gggya!

  • This is THE BEST!!!!!

  • We are lucky to have been born in a time when there was real music, If not we would think the crap we hear now with the good "SAMPLED beats" is orginal good music! WHERE ARE THE MUSICIANS???????

  • @BunnyBee11

And where girls only want you if you got all those things. Then they come bootyclappin in your video.

Kids laugh about these song like this one of Whodini. They dont know. 80;s babies ..damn were in splitting times..

  • @BunnyBee11 Yeah it's so boring and predictable.

  • @BunnyBee11 just do not blame it on the guys..a lot of you ladies who were lovable become bitches and hoes that loved only cars, money, clothes, shopping and brothers paying your bills......I'm just sayin......

  • @thebizresources You get no arguement from me love! women now days have no class..... any woman who would trade hersle and poison love for material gain is a whore and therefor puts herself in the line of fire...a REAL WOMANS REPUTATION IS NEVER QUESTIONED!

  • @BunnyBee11 Uh Oh looks like SOMEONE got they lil heart broke. LOL

  • @BunnyBee11 because Illuminati controls the artists and the industry nowadays becuz hip hop is a worldwide commecial market but hip hop in the 80's wasn't that BIG BIG!so they're like do what ever you want we don't care that's why you hear great music in the 80's!!!!!!!

  • I remember that too.Video Music Box was the bomb. Those were the good old days.

  • thats fresh till infinity!platinum stuff, one love from Russia

  • This is not bubble gum or soft bcoz it had its place in HIP HOP's younger years. It showed the diversity of the music. If the music hadn't been multidimensional it wouldn't have had such mass apeal.

  • I love this song, it has a lot of meaning. I can relate to every verse. I really dig the dance routine lol. what happened to this group. This was the heyday of rap, where they actually talked about the things of life and not about guns and drugs, all of these new rappers are a bunch of phoneys. I'd love to be able to go back to the late 80s, early 90s except for the clothes. lol

  • except for the clothes..lmao..you're right, I agree. Those were the days.

  • Yeah, but a brotha did think he was fly if he had on some MC Hammer pants or a Whodini hat, or even a Michael Jackson jacket (80s). lol. I had a pair of parachute pants with a hole in the crotch that I wore anyway, as long as I kept my legs together I was cool lookin' lol. Those were the good old days, even government cheese was easier to cut and eat back in those days. You could wrap a $20 bill around a wad of food stamps and make it look like you had paper. Those were the days baby

  • old school. this is the best

  • The dude in the baseball cap is FINE

  • I agree...he has nice eyes.

  • LOL yes indeed
