Wanna know what I just realized? At the end of the 7th season, Lex said "I would have helped you become a hero." Maybe if Lex isn't fully controlling Clark, maybe he influenced him into working at the Daily Planet and saving people. I doubt it, though.

The producers are saying that Lois is going to start showing her interest in Clark. But at one point in this season Clark is going to reasses his feeligns for Chloe (though that probably won't last long) and Lana is coming back for 5 eps or so. In other words, they'll jerk around the Clois, Clana and Chlark fans.

They did say that Lois and Clark would develop a deeper relationship back in season 5 or 6, so I won't hold my breath for any development in that area.

Their motto is No Tights, No Flights, meaning Clark is not supposed to fly and he will never wear the full costume. I think it might be a little over the top to make a brand new series with Clark being Superman, that's what the movies are for. Tom Welling, would probably never do it anyway. I am sure he is about ready to move on after 8 years of playing the same role so he is not always remembered as that guy who played young Superman on TV.

i reckon, when the season begins, clark is under control by lex, from the device in artctic and all that. maybe thats why at 1:11 secs oliver asks clark where lex is. maybe clark is protecting him. so oliver shoots him. The trailer seems to suggest a Brainiac and Zod story line. I say this b/c I'd like to see that and I notice from season 7 Brainiac being fried and what seems like a memory version of Brainiac attacking Chloe. Also what looks like from season 5 (@ 1:09) Chloe looking through a fan and in that scene that's when Chloe realizes Milton Fine isn't Kryptonian but something more. I hope Brainiac's plan is explained and explored and not just dropped like Kara and Raya.
