  • how many crickets a day should i feed my baby bearded dragons its about 2 mounths old

  • this is the best feeding vid ever haha i cant wait to get one

  • i soo want one! =)

  • do u breed the crickets and if u do how

  • @TheSpanky7171 no I don't breed them because once I had an accident that all the little ones ( baby crickets) run out of the terrarium and a had the all over my place :D You put the dirt for substrate and a lot of hiding places. Then in one narrow bowl put dirt + water ( that the dirt is pured with water) there they'll lay eggs. And the temperature must be at least 26.5 °C+. and put the food like salad, dog food, fish food, fruit ...

  • how many months are they about and what size crickets do you feed?

  • @TaivornMcKenzie In video they are 6-7 months old and I fed them with small crickets. Now they are almost adults so they eat the bigger ones :)

  • @Soncysun Ohh alright thanks!:)

  • @Soncysun Hello again !

Please tell me is there are rule regarding how long should the UVB lamp be turned on . I usually let it turned on about 11-12 hours per day

  • @iiivvvkkkeee The rule is 14h light on and 10h light off. in Winter 10h on /14h off.

That is a good split of the day/night. But the hours are not important...for me... I have also for 11-12h light on and that should be fine... You must simulate day night with turning lights ... Better is that you left bearides on the direct sunlight .. for all vitamins and UVB and UVA rays .. but we have winter so it is a little bit hard to leave them outside XD

  • @Soncysun It's almost impossible for me to put my beardy on natural sunlight because my balcony is covered and blocked by another building. Maybe when he grows up i'll take him outdoor a little bit,for example in apark.Untill then i'll be simulating day and night right as you told me xD

    Thanks!

  • I have a 3 months old beardy, but i bought it 2 weeks ago..He's a little bit scared and ofte he runs from my hand.Is that his normal way of getting use to new owner and place or what ?

  • @iiivvvkkkeee Hi!

it is normal that little beardies are stressed and scared.... there is new place so they must get use to it.

So i suggested to do slow and careful. Do you feed him by hand ? If you don't you should probably get started. Or just put hand into the terrarium for few minutes per day that he slowly knowing you and youur hands.... thaht you are not an enemy. then later out food in hand or some good worms sometimes xD or you can use tweezer . And don't trying to cacth him because

  • @Soncysun im out of space lol

so because he maybe get scared. So slow little by little handle him in hands ... ... after few day of ''training '' if he is not scared anymore put him out of the terrarium but that is when he isn't scared !!

let me know how is it going :D

    slow and be patient :D

  • @Soncysun

    Thanks for quick response!

Actually i started putting my hand in front of him few days ago,so he could get use to me.But i'm not feeding him directly from hand because insects and worms i find a bit discusting,i rather use a small spoon or put him into a plastic box and let him hunt them.A only try to offer him fruits and vegetables from hand, but he refuses to eat that, only once he ate a banana from a hand. Why dosen't he takes fruits and veggies ? is trhere a way to resolve this?

  • @iiivvvkkkeee @iiivvvkkkeee @iiivvvkkkeee @iiivvvkkkeee @iiivvvkkkeee @iiivvvkkkeee sorry for my bad english ... but i hope you understand :D

Babies dont eat big emonts of veggies and fruit... They need a lot of crickets and worms ... life insects ... later when they are adults they eat a lot of fruit and veggies and just a little insects ... if you compare it is a difference ...

so dont worry keep trying giving them a fruit and veggies with hand ( or in a dish) ...

  • @Soncysun And the wy you feed him with life inesct ... also good :D the easy way to ''train'' your beardie is that he thins that you are food supply ;D feed him with hands :D :D or with tweezer :D i have one it is very practical :D i don+t like to touch the cricket too .D

  • @Soncysun I understood everything , don't worry xD

Ok,so he will get use to fruit and veggies as he grows up. And i'll start using tweezer, very nice idea ! xD

    Thanks !

  • i want one!

  • @sickcunt1218 bu it.... you won't be disappointed :D

  • cool mannn check out mines

  • Aw, so adorable♥ I have a beardie too:3

  • haha lunch time

  • how many crickets a day should i feed my new baby bearded dragon

  • @soultruesk8rlifelong Give him 10 or 15 minutes to eat as many as he can, but it is better to spread this over three meals a day.

  • Ha ha love this song with this video :D

  • @jcbmnd11 The names of the songs are at the end of the video :D :D

  • How old are these?

  • @Rabizoid here are 6-7 months old :D

  • mate you better quit hand feeding them cause they ll quit chasing their food.trust me you dont want that

    .

  • @Remalisphilip I trust you :) I don't feed them with hand all the time. so don't worry :D

  • @Soncysun lol bearded dragons will not stop chasing their food. if they're hungry they're hungry. i dont suggest hand feeding because they could get too used to it where when you reach in to pick them up they might think its food and snap at you. probably wont hurt much but im just saying

  • @rjrodriguez188 that is true :D

  • @Soncysun lol bearded dragons will not stop chasing their food. if they're hungry they're hungry. i dont suggest hand feeding because they could get too used to it where when you reach in their cage to pick them up they might think its food and snap at you. probably wont hurt much but im just saying

  • do you need to use tweesers when there little answer plz i need to know

  • @Murkyybazz No they don't need tweesers. You can feed them with hands too, like in 1:00

but for me it's easy with tweesers because 1) ( they know that something on tweeser is food) so I can '' tell '' them what they can eat , if you understand. They get use to eat new different food ... maybe like briquettes ( I use dragon juvenile for young agams from EXO-TERRA), or new fruit, bugs ( maybe Cockroaches on wich they aren't use to )

    2) and my hands stay clean :D

    I hope I helped :D

  • @Soncysun yer thnks i needed to know because i might be getting one soon and do you need to keep the light in there tank all the time

  • @Murkyybazz no you don't have to ... I have light on all the time,14h light on and 10h light off. That is a good split of the day/night. But that is not so important... it is good to left beardies for 10 to 15 minutes on sunlight... but not in winter XD

    sorry for late answer

  • @Soncysun yes thnks do you need to keep the light on all the time in there tank?

  • @Murkyybazz Oo new beardie how nice :D :D will you put the beardie on Youtube?? Can't wait to see :D I have light on all the time,14h light on and 10h light off. That is a good split of the day/night. But that is approximately.

  • @Soncysun yeah sure if i can find my dads camera as you know i have no vids ;P

  • @Murkyybazz did you find it ?

  • @Murkyybazz did you find it ?

  • @Soncysun no :o he give it to his brother and he hasnt give him it back >:(

  • Nice video! I was just curious what type of bearded dragons those are? The strain or lineage I guess.

  • @stutteringafro17 thanks ! :D I think they are Pogona vitticeps, ( often kept as pets). :)

  • @Soncysun ha ha well I know they're Pogona vitticeps, thats the latin name for a Central Bearded...

I was just curious if they were a specific morph. But I now I realize they might not be any!

  • @stutteringafro17 haahah yea I know haha. but I think also that the different colours and sripes of bearded dragons are like our hair and skin tone ( the same kind ) . But there is also another kind of bearded dragon.. dwarf bearded dragon. I know just that one and our beardies :D

  • hey i have a baby like yours when can my baby eat a pinky mice?

  • @xMystiCxNiNja Actually you can feed your BD with pinky mice when hw/she becomes an adult...That is around of age one... and just for a snack... Babies require about 70%protein in their diet (crickets, mealworms, silkworms, )...And 30% fruit&vegetables. And P. mice are high in fat. I will feed my BD with them before the breeding season begins. To get a healthy female. But I also feed my ex- beardie (she died-unfortunately) with pinky mice once on a month -> like a treat . I hope I helped :D :D

  • @xMystiCxNiNja but I also think that if you feed your baby beardie with pinky mice should not harm him/her... :D :D So your choise :D

  • @Soncysun You are very dumb. Dont feed a baby bearded a pinky. They have to be adults.

  • @chrisgarelli no i'm not dumb. I wrote that ''by rules'' is pinky mice only for adults. But I know a few of baby BD which ate pinky mice ... and the are still ok. What about in the nature .. they eat everything they find ...

  • @Soncysun I know im joking. But baby bearded dragons should not be feed pinky mice. wait till their about 14 inchs or bigger

  • @chrisgarelli ok then :D pinky mice just for adults ( 14 inches + ) :D :D :D

  • @Soncysun yup
