wow. random aruguements. hate gets nowhere fast. consider this, those who support abortion fight capital punishment, and those who support capital punishment fight abortion. nobody's right. every case is different. you have a right to say and believe what you want as long as it does not infringe anothers to do so. I stand against abortion, but I respect views of those who support it because I can understand their viewpoints. I strive consistantly to question my own views, in hope for better.
You involved yourself in the abortion discussion. Then you cut and run when the justifications run out and then declare the purpose of the video? Well done...har har! Unlike you, I do care about the ever decreasing morals of the society in which we live. It's a shame that you don't.
Where you see "ever decreasing morals" I see lack of education, lack of personal responsibility, ever increasing bureacracy and government intervention and lack of personal freedom. What I feel you want to propose is illegalizing abortion which will only increase the number of illegal abortions which is not only fatal to the fetus but to the woman. Then we can bog the courts down with illegal abortion doctor cases and add to the bureacracy, but maybe that's what you want then.

This video actually explains the difference between a democracy and a republic rather well, I think. I have struggled with that at times, like I think I know but than can't explain it.
The problem with this video is they choose to represent all political philosophies on a linear scale from anarchy to monarchy. A more accurate model would be a 2- or 3-dimensional graph of philosophies showing the degree of government authority over various facets of life. For example, Ron Paul and other libertarians want to promote maximum social AND fiscal liberty, whereas many republicans promote limits on social liberty (marriage, abortion, etc). It's not as simple as big G vs. small G .
But it is as simple as Republic, which we're supposed to have, and Democracy, which everybody thinks we have, and an Oligarchy, which we do have, or at least working on.
abortion is not a social liberty due to the immoral nature of the act of killing an unborn citizen. It becomes a matter of law and the perfect issue for a republican form of government to decide. The "limits" on abortion are the same "limits" on homicide or manslaughter from a libertarian perspective.
Abortion is a right of a woman to have control over her body.
The government should not have the right or permission to tell it's citizens how to treat their bodies, what to do with their bodies, or what to put into or remove from their bodies.
Although somewhat off topic not not totally appropriate for comparison: how would you feel about government passing legislation regarding the frequency of your eating habits or bowel movements?
Destroying a child growing in a mother's womb is not a right, it's a moral conundrum. A human baby is NOT the body of the mother. Not a piece of tissue to be surgically removed, and not a mound of fecal waste to be excreted. When a baby is born, is it still the mother's body as long as the umbilical cord is attached? Is a man's penis part of the woman's body during intercourse? You must see the absurdity.
Furthermore, human fetuses boast a nervous system which can signal pain in the cerebral cortex after a determined point of gestation.
"Woman's body" philosophy is as flawed as "Do what ye will, harm ye none" regarding our inability to completely understand the consequences for each of our actions.
We are not dealing in absolutes. We are dealing with human beings, moral ambiguity and the social evolution of the human race. None of which purports abortion as an excellent choice in any case.
Freedom is freedom is freedom. A woman should have the right to do what ever she wants to do to and with her body. It may be a poor interpretation of abortion, but to me no different, than outlawing the practice of plastic surgery to a woman's body.
She is changing something inherant to herself.
The government, nor anyone, should have control over a woman's uterus.
Uterine cancer is a living thing that grows there too. Does it have a right to life, it is it's own lifeform?
@ChiefHoot Was the fetus involved in the decision of it's own termination of LIFE? Yes, a woman (or man) has the right to do with their body what they want. But a fetus IS another (some)body. A life of it's own, being smothered out by the right of a woman to do with her body as she wants. Wouldn't you want to have a say in your right to be born? Think about that a while.
So by that reasoning the next logical step is that hysterectomies and vasectomies should be illegallized because while it's our body, those are the reproductive parts and have the potential to create life.
"I could've been born if only my father didnt have his vans deferens cauterized!"
@ChiefHoot You obviously didn't understand what I wrote. Read it again. My reasoning was the assumption that a fetus is already present. What a person does to prevent conception is wholly different. In an environment where the egg and sperm don't come together, there is no conception, no life. But an abortion snuffs out the life that is already there. It seems that many confuse abortion with birth control. The pill, condoms, etc. are forms of contraception. Abortion is the termination of life!
I read what you wrote and understood. You believe that once the sperm and the egg meet and start to undergo mitosis that is the creation of sacred life. These are your beliefs and will probably never change. I do not see it as such. While I do not personally belief in abortion, I defend the right for it to exist. I made an argument quite awhile ago that uterine cancer is also a lifeform that grows in the womb and nobody has a problem killing that, and it's alive and has human DNA too.
@ChiefHoot Your implying that you don't believe the fetus is a sacred life...I can't reach any other conclusion. I'm sorry you see it that way. But your comparison of the removal of a health risk, uterine cancer, as a lifeform in relation to the removal of a human embryo or fetus is absurd. Cancer removal is the preservation of the life of those afflicted. Pregnancy is the creation & continuation of humanity.
You can have your own views about abortion and speak freely about them due to freedom. And I have the freedom to play devil's advocate. Personally I dont care what your views are, only that we have the freedom to discuss whatever we want. This video isnt about abortion, it's about freedom.
Seriously, I have to make the first comment on my video?
Come on!
Are yall so in awe of this video you can't comment?
Did it make you realize that the current US government has been horrifically hijacked by elites?
