Well I'm allergic to the sun, but my reaction is very different. The sun Drains my energy, and causes exaustion. During sunny days I am completly drained of my energy and simply can't move in the morning and that forces me to continue to sleep til the sunsets. This makes it very difficult for me and my relationships. I can only come out at night. 

And yes I have been called a Vampire.

Hi... I get this every year, it is called Polymorphous light eruption (PMLE). I have found the only thin that cures it is an oral sterid from the doctor, 5mls in the morning and 5mls at night. An anti-histamine calms the itching and will help it go away but I get it really bad so I go straight for the steroid. The doctor doesn't like to give it too much though coz obviously too much is not good for you.

i'm kinda allergic to the sun if i stay in the sun for more then 30 minutes i get a headache..then i get bumps the side of my head..any were the sun got to and i hate it...i get spf 40 it does nothing...i need help..medical help...ha ha

No, he's right--epidemiologists treat the deeper layers of skin; a dermatologist just basically does the top layers.

Antihistamines usually prevent that from happening, as any form of Urticaria(hives) is caused by histamine release in the skin cells. Diphenhydramine hydrochloride, aka Benadryl, would be a good starting place to help with that. That lotion doesnt solve the problem, it will only mask it temporarily. I am surprised you havent seen an Epidemiologist concerning this, honestly. Well, I hope you feel better soon. And, a razor blade works well on glass to remove things.
